It is a huge post office with lots of windows but there can be people waiting down the street and they still only open a couple of the windows. About a year ago this was a nice post office dont know what has happened to it all the staff never wear there uniforms anymore and half of them look like they have just rolled out of bed and gone straight to work. People have to wait ages because the staff are to busy talking about what they did the night before. There are many post offices in peterlee which offer and quicker and more friendly service.

I had not been here long when, as I walked up to the counter, I was recognised and welcomed in a way that made me instantly feel like I had lived here all my life. This post office is an absolute godsend to the people of south hetton and long may it continue. I moved away from east sussex where sadly every single local post office closed which to most peoples horror only left the main one in the centre of town, which was very inconveient and always full to bursting and often had queus out the door and up the road!
