The beef teriyaki come on thats not how beef teriyaki thats literally beef deep fried with teriyaki sauce thats not how you make it. The others were taste bad too i dont know what to say. This place isn't too bad! I don't know much about sushi though, so I can understand if my review isn't as valid as some others! I was just here on the recommendation of my cousin who loves the pumpkin dish. And I really enjoyed it too! I also got the tofu wrapped rice and the apple gyoza which were greasy, but good. I think the price is high though, for what you get, so despite the fun/novelty factor. it's probably not great value. Might come back for the salad dishes, as I do like seaweed :D read more

I walk in, ask for five plates of salmon sashimi (£3.80), an unlimited Japanese green tea (£1.50), and walk out very happy. I'd have the Mochi too but it's never available. Yo Sushi in the brand new Westfield shopping centre is the only sushi place available there. They do a damn good job of it too with really good service levels and delicious food. My only complaint extends to the tuna sashimi: fresh sashimi should be so fresh it flops over when you pick it up. The tuna sashimi at Yo Westfield had the texture of marzipan. This aside, every other dish was really good and the miso soup really awesome. It also seems that their sushi conveyor belt (which runs a distance of at least 30m) is a little too fast: my total spill tally included a small bowl of oyster sauce, a selection of salmon sushi and some prawn tempura. The closely packed sushi plates didn't help much either. A really nice touch is the fresh water or soda water dispenser located around the sushi conveyor, though their wasabi could be a little fresher. read more

This is the most awful Sushi place I have ever eaten in my life. The best thing about this place, is you can people watch. You are often startled by an very annoying buzz, when someone tries to get service. When I complained to staff, they said is was a Yo Sushi policy to put in the annoying buzz to get customer service. went last night with my children and ended up waiting for 40 mins to get a booth, Unlike other eateries, booths are not kept for groups of 4 or more so as there are only 4 booths families are expected to sit on high stools. unfortunately 2 of our party cant do that. despite this the food was lovely and we made great use of their jan offer of 40% off. the chilli squid was excellent along with the terriaki chicken and beef. You have to press this buzzer to get waitress attention for drinks and hot dishes, which is ok unless your a shy person, thankgod i am not lol. I thought the £1.50 charge for table water is rather naughty, yes there are taps on your table for fizzy or still water and you charged for the amount of glasses used. you could technically use 1 glass for all of you i guess if on a budget. some help for newbies would have been nice, but they dont ask if you have been before. read more

You're shopping, you're hangry and you don't want a cheeseburger and you most definitely don't want fish and chips. So, you have a seat and grab a bite here. No, it's not the best quality. The tuna tataki and gyoza are intensely over salted, the nigiri are the thinnest slices of fish you've ever seen and you may never get some of the dishes you ordered as the staff knows you'll just pick up whatever passes by anyway. After living in Japan, we both have been on the lookout for a good but cheap sushi place. My husband & I decided to try Yo! Sushi after seeing the chain everywhere. Pretty poor - when it does not need to be. The food is obviously of moderate quality as it is Yo Sushi but it was even further let down with lack of care and lack of service. The selection was poor and they were just trying to get people to take items from the belt rather than ordering fresh. The sashimi was good - simple and fresh. But the offerings of chicken katzu and beef teriyaki were poor - overdone, tired and definitely nothing like the photos in the menu. And they took an age to come - we had very obviously been forgotten about! The staff were more interested in checking their phones than looking after customers. I give Yo! Sushi only 2 stars b/c, as much as I like their sushi, I know I've had way better, larger, and more inventive sushi in the past. Still, for fast food sushi AND made-to-order sushi in one spot, Yo! will do. As with all sushi joints, be prepared to spend more than you really want to. read more

The worst sushi branch! Staff are rude and bitchy! I was queuing with my brother for 20 minutes at the till to order a takeout During the time my brother and I were waiting patiently in line they had asked everyone to form a single line. Finally as we came to the front of the line two of their eating in customers just came in front of the queue, the staff at both till knew we were next as they had looked at us BUT went on serving the other customers instead. I told them that I was waiting in line, both staff gave me a dirty look. I use to visit yo! Sushi at white city regularly a few years ago as I was working nearby But after yesterday's experience I would never eat at ANY yo! Sushi branch again. read more

I usually have my dinner at Yo since it's near to my place. The service and food had been ok until this last freaking time. We were dumped at the table. No one seem to care whether we'd like to order some drinks, hot food and so on. After waiting for 10 minutes, I looked around for a waitress and managed to get one. So, we ordered drinks but it never came. 10 minutes later, we were still waiting for our drinks and trying to call for the waitress (raised hand and pressed service button) to remind her about our drinks. Again, no one seem to care and no drinks had been served. The waitress, instead of providing us with the drinks, went to serve a lady (sat at the next table) who asked for a glass of wine. The waitress went straight to get her order. But we, who ordered the drinks before the lady, continued waiting for the drinks. Is it because we are Asians and that's why we received different level of services?? So after the waitress gave the lady a glass of wine and was about to leave the table, we called for her attention. Finally, she came to our table and accused us for raising our voice at her (of which we did not!!!). She said that we "yelled" at her and tell us "not to do it again" We decided to leave the restaurant immediately and just paid for whatever we had eaten (of which, shouldn't get paid because of this horrible service). While we were reporting the incident to the manager, the manager was trying to cover for his staff because he was not informed of the full situation by the waitress. The waitress was trying to inform her manager that there were some misunderstandings with the orders but the fact is that she had forgotten to serve us with the drinks. However, once the manager heard of the full story, he did apologise to us. And one last thing, when the waitress threatened us not to "yell" at her again, she said that "she had a long day and did not want to hear anyone yelling at her" Like seriously ??? What kind of attitude is this? How can she tell us off that she had a long day and this is the reason why she was not going to serve us properly. I wonder how many customers were unlucky to be served poorly by her when she was not in the mood to serve whenever she had "a long day". If that is the case, she better quits the job because I dont think that this job is suitable for her. We, the customers, wouldn't know what the waitress have been through on the day. But since her job is to work and serve customers, this should not be given as an excuse not to serve us properly. This is very inappropriate, unacceptable and very unprofessional of Yo! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First of all the selection was poor and the food tasted bad. Second they charge a fortune. Three people and we didn't eat much and the bill was 67 pounds. Third the next morning I have a really bad sore throat- don't know for sure if it was from Yo! Sushi but it definitely didn't seem completely sanitary. YO! Sushi is one of my fv restaurant, I go to their Angel branch a lot. This one in Westfield is the WORST one I've been, the waitresses are yawning, slow, and can't be bothered, it's like they hate their jobs, so they hate you as customers too. My food was very late, when I asked one of the black waitress with long hair to double check if my order went missing - she looked at me at the corner of her eye and said "We are very busy". Half of the restaurant was empty. Food is cold and half-assed, the salmon sashimi I got tasted awful and I have to requested it being changed. I totally agree with the other reviewers - this is in deed the WORST Yo! in London. They should at least try a little harder to emulate a Japanese restaurant, not a hip hop, hey dude, pizza joint. read more

I love the idea of rotating sushi coming around a conveyor belt. However, the sushi here is just plain awful. To top it all off, it is quite expensive. The novelty will wear off once you taste your first bite and see your bill. Better choices exist in Westfield. read more

This could be the absolute WORST sushi out there, including supermarket sushi. They serve pre-made, pre-cut, horrible quality food. They advertise beautifully in their menus but what you get are the thinnest little slabs of not fresh fish which barely covers the top of the rice. I have no idea how they stay in business, really.
