Being that I was from out of town, I gave my daughter the job of researching and find a great tattoo artist. She definitely did her homework in researching the art work and recommendations from people in the tri cities. She finally decided on Charlie at OD. Charlie made multiple requests for multiple pictures of our dog in helping to set up the dog's portrait. Well, we went in for the tattoo's. He did one after the other and they both looked exactly alike. What was even more incredible is that it wasn't just a dog tattoo'd on my shoulder blade. It was my dog. I could actually distinguish my dog's personal attributes. I never expected that. I was very impressed. This was my third tattoo. The last one was done in Ohio. I was so impressed with the work by Charlie that I decided if I want another one, I will schedule it on my next visit to the area. One other thing, I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside of the business. It's relaxed yet professional. Two other tattoo artists were working at the same time. Everyone gets along well and it creates a very comfortable setting for all.

The one thing that I did have problems with was scheduling, though. I made my appointment a month-and-a-half in advance because I knew it would be hard to get two people in for the same time, with the same artist, AND on a Friday night. When it came time to pay the deposit for my friend's appointment, one week before we were supposed to be scheduled, they said that appointment time was no longer available. Luckily we were able to figure something out but it was a bit of a hassle. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and I WILL be going back again.

She's also well organized and well prepared for each session with plenty of ideas and possible changes already thought out to easily get you to exactly what you want within just a few minutes of arriving. Vern wastes no time during appointments and you are truly getting the best quality tattoo and service possible in your appointment window. I recommend booking a whole day session at her discounted rate versus just an hour or two because she truly uses the time wisely and really gets a lot done for you! (i.e. We got an entire thigh piece (my first from her) done in one full day session.) As for the shop itself, I was super pleased when I walked in for the first time. I had driven by it a ton and never noticed it, but don't be fooled by the plain exterior. The inside is clean with beautiful lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and helpful inside. By far the best tattoo shop I've been to for myself or with other people.
