She's also well organized and well prepared for each session with plenty of ideas and possible changes already thought out to easily get you to exactly what you want within just a few minutes of arriving. Vern wastes no time during appointments and you are truly getting the best quality tattoo and service possible in your appointment window. I recommend booking a whole day session at her discounted rate versus just an hour or two because she truly uses the time wisely and really gets a lot done for you! (i.e. We got an entire thigh piece (my first from her) done in one full day session.) As for the shop itself, I was super pleased when I walked in for the first time. I had driven by it a ton and never noticed it, but don't be fooled by the plain exterior. The inside is clean with beautiful lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. The one thing that I did have problems with was scheduling, though. I made my appointment a month-and-a-half in advance because I knew it would be hard to get two people in for the same time, with the same artist, AND on a Friday night. When it came time to pay the deposit for my friend's appointment, one week before we were supposed to be scheduled, they said that appointment time was no longer available. Luckily we were able to figure something out but it was a bit of a hassle. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and I WILL be going back again.

With my belly button, the guy was really calm but told me NOT to wash it or use any professional cleaner. Within 2 days, it was infected to the point where I was crying because of pain. I went to the ROCK ISLAND location and was helped by someone else because of this. I was told that the guy who did it was gone, so I decided to give them another chance. My cartilage piercing was done by a different guy and it was the easiest piercing I've ever gotten. Calm environment. Good price. Great piercing.
