This is my third year being a CSA member. Not only is the taste of the vegetables amazing, but…read morerecently it's been significantly cheaper than shopping organic at the big box stores. I go to the farm for pickup every week, and I love the variety, that I can pick and choose between over a dozen different herbs and veggies, the extras they often have, the UPick tomatoes and beans and etc. It's also such a relief to know where my food is coming from, that there are no chemical fertilizers or pesticides in it, that it's not downwind a feedlot so no chances of salmonella outbreaks in their leafy greens, that it hasn't been sprayed to ripen -- the peace of mind itself is invaluable. They have three seasons (spring, summer, and fall) that you can sign up for (that often sell out early, especially the summer season), as well as Thursday farmstands in the afternoon. Also, at the beginning of May they sell seedlings, with prices cheaper than The Growing Place, and most of the plants I buy from there thrive in my garden with no additions required (I put compost in the hole and around the base when I first plant them, mulch around the seedlings, and that's pretty much it, by mid-July I'm getting more tomatoes and basil and etc than I know what to do with).

I have never in my life had such a terrible experience until riding at AZ Acres. Simultaneously, my…read moredaughter took a lesson while I casually rode. The instructor was rude, insulting, and belittling to both my 7 year old daughter and me. I made it very clear that she's not an experienced rider and needs more instruction as she's learning. Olivia's tone was short, accusatory, and impatient. My daughter left in tears. I cannot stress enough how much this place should be avoided.

Look, if you're an adult in Plainfield/Shorewood/Joliet and you're thinking about taking lessons…read morebecause you want to compete or you just want to become an all around better rider, this is the place to do it. And they can do group lessons if you want to take a spouse, friend, child, stranger you just met, etc. etc. The facilities themselves are very nice and the stables are always pretty dang clean. They have an indoor arena too so that's a huge plus in these winter months. There are quite a few grooms here so if you have any questions you always have someone to ask, but beyond that Megan does a great job of walking you step by step through tacking up and care to ensure you're doing it right and are using the correct equipment on each horse. The lessons are top notch. You work with different horses week to week and Megan is excellent at giving corrections while your riding. Lessons differ from day to day and they offer both English and Western, but Megan does an amazing job at remembering where your at and what you still need work on. I'm never pushed to do something I'm not comfortable with, but the option to push yourself is always there (if you've shown you'd be able to handle it). I always feel like my safety is considered while riding here which I can only imagine would be even more reassuring if you have your kids riding. Also worth noting, they offer summer camps for the kiddos.

This lack of proper oversight is alarming, especially for programs catering to young children. The program's content is not engaging enough to maintain young children's attention. If you have happy, fun-loving children who enjoy expressing themselves, be cautious. If your child doesn't strictly follow the teenagers' instructions without room for silliness or fun, you risk being removed from the program and losing your money. Overall, the environment feels exclusionary, lacking the nurturing and inclusive atmosphere one would expect from a children's program.

Honestly a terrible experience from day one…read more My son loved the actual coding and if he hadn't, we would have pulled him much sooner because the incompetence of the staff and the manipulative  policies made this a nightmare week in and week out. Clearly everyone involved here has no qualifications at all for dealing with children. Code Ninja just throws non-professionals into a powerful and intimate situation involving children because --I'm guessing-- it's cheaper on their bottom line, but either way it's careless and honestly reprehensible. I am curious as to what qualifications any one has at all in this place because I would bet there are absolutely zero besides knowing someone who had an investment idea. Today I witnessed an employee, a grown woman, publicly shaming my child for not completing a task on time. Not because my child acted out or was out of line, but because he took his time. It was absolutely disgusting. God knows what occurred while I wasn't present. Just ask yourself who are these people you are entrusting with your kids? They don't have a teaching degree, they have no experience in handling children, they are just random weirdos who prioritize quotas on kids' progress on a coding development program that you can access from your own house for free. What they don't tell you at sign up is you can't pause this program. You have to continue paying even after you cancel. Read all the fine print. They are obsessed with the idea of  The teenagers who assist the children with the actual coding work at least in contrast give it a solid effort insofar as much as a teenager can, but something tells me they are not at all compensated appropriately for what they give. This place is a scam. There is no doubt about it. But they already know this and they won't do anything about it. Don't send your kids here.

It's a classy, extremely high caliber music school disguised in a humble, charming building and taught by humble charming people. Additionally, randomly, their bass teachers are also really, really, ridiculously cool. And smart. And funny?! And for some reason their rooms always smell the best?! Anyway, just my observation as someone who walked by it on the sidewalk once and definitely not the bass teacher with the essential oil diffuser (it's cedarwood oil). On a more serious (quarter) note: enrolling your kids here opens them to an extremely supportive, positive, driven community while at the same time exposes them to the highest caliber private & small group music instruction in Naperville.
