She's learned a lot of great skills and made her first friends. In her time at the school she has experienced cultural days, petting zoo, water play days, a magic show, holiday pageant and a lot of other cool activities. It's been great to get to know other local parents by attending birthdays and school activities. I love getting the pictures and video clips from her activities throughout the day. She started with Miss Brittani and Miss Ashley, was with Miss Alex and now is in Miss Danielle and Miss India's class. The Montessori approach has really worked well for my daughter. She is 2.5 and knows all her letters, is counting to 20, can spell and recognize her name and a couple other simple words.

Totally recommend this daycare, my daughter has been here since she was 18 months and loves it. She…read morehas now been there for 4 years and I've never had any issues with staff or other kids or lice. I'm so glad I was able to find care for my daughter so I can work. I know she is in good hands at educare with the excellent staff they have. Every day when I drop off or pick up every staff member we see greets us and makes us feel welcomed. I show up every Monday with my baby girl and her blanket, a change of clothes for any accidents, and the school provides diapers till they need them and food and snacks. I will always be grateful for the teachers that helped my daughter throughout the years: Ms. Alicia, Ms. Kathy, Ms. Maria, Ms. Maricela and Ms. Rosa. I will truly miss the school as this is the last year my daughter can attend. The front staff is also very professional and nice as we come in, the staff that opens the gates, and the counselors that help with enrollment are excellent and there to help with anything. She had also down several YMCA summer camps she loved. So when my son was turning 18 months and we felt ready to send him to daycare/preschool, the YMCA in Long Beach (where we live now) was my first call. Will (the director) was wonderful and guided me throw the enrollment process months before so my son was ready to go at 18 months. And we have loved Ms. Loletha! She is a wonderful teacher who truly cares about her kids! Ms. Delana is also super great and friendly. We have now been at the YMCA for 6 months and we just love it, as does our son. They go over and beyond with festivities, holiday parties, parents nights, visits from Santa (and gifts for the kids) and more! We've been so pleased that we have joined the nearby YMCA gym too.

I love that they post the lesson plan so you can reinforce the learning at home. There is a lot of communication through the Class Dojo app and postings at school. He also was potty trained fully in 2 months which I was more than happy to pay the extra $25-30 a week for that guidance. They have fun activities like field trips, Christmas recitals, special guests like firemen, dentists, etc. He LOVES his teachers, Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Khalifa and we do too! They really understand each child and their personality nuances. I can share what is happening at home and they help guide and reinforce behavior changes at school. It takes a village to raise a child and I'm so thankful to have Oakwood Academy as part of mine!

He started in the infant room, with Ms. Martha and Ms. Archie who made him feel comfortable since it was his first daycare experience. When he moved to the older classroom Ms. Maria and the other teachers really helped him adjust to the being with the older kids. They have plenty of different activities, circle time, painting, water play, etc. The food and snacks were always healthy as well. We liked that they communicate and provide photo updates throughout the day via an app. The director, Ms. Tiffany does a great job is very hands on also, great with the children. We were happy to find a daycare that we could trust and would definitely recommend Bright Futures!

Bright Futures had just opened the infant room and so our son was only the second baby there. It was maybe a leap of faith but we immediately felt we could trust them with our baby. The room is brand new, clean, and organized. Director Tiffany takes extra care of the infant room and our baby was surrounded by loving teachers all the time. We are switching now because we want to be closer to home and not take the 710 every day, but at the new daycare, they were surprised to notice how well-socialized and well-mannered our son was. Obviously, they did a great job of teaching him social skills. Our son especially enjoyed the front yard where he could ride the tricycle for hours, the water days in the summer when they play in the water, and sometimes they would let him hang with the older kids which is proven to be beneficial for development. They use an app to communicate with parents so we would get pictures of him and updates every day. Also, they provide meals which is a huge help for working parents.
