Here are some highlights of the gym: *Location: The gym is located above Cosentino's Market and offers up to two hours of free parking in the garage, with access from Main Street and Walnut. *Personal Trainers: The personal trainers are top-notch. I have trained with James, AJ, and Conner. *Group Classes: The group classes are free for members. My favorite is Natalie's Bootcamp, held Monday through Friday at 12:15 PM. (Please check the website for current times, as they can vary). *Facility: The gym is spacious with eight distinct areas, locker rooms, and pool access for members. Despite these positives, my review is not 5 stars due to the following issues: *Movie - Cardio Room: This room has experienced constant hiccups since Genesis took over, and currently, nothing is showing. *Plumbing/Water Issues: Currently, half the sinks in the men's bathroom are out of service. Last month, there was a small flood from the pool during bootcamp, and earlier this year, leaks from the washer flooded the men's locker room for over a week. *Turf: The gym's turf is original from One Life. It was stretched and glued earlier this year but has needed to be replaced for over a year. *Equipment Maintenance: One of the two skill mills has been out of order for six months, and several cardio machines have had "out of order" signs for several weeks. *Cleanliness: I do not believe the gym is deep cleaned very often, as there are dust bunnies and hairballs around most of the equipment.

Troy is the kindest and sharpest superstar Manager who welcomed me, an out of towner( not a local and potential member) with class and enthusiasm; please note that I was a guest from NY visiting KC for the MNF game. Mac, Chandler and Brenna were just stellar with kindness. Loved the efficiency at the front desk and their smiles as they picked up towels in the cart from all over the gym. 2) Towel service( bath and workout sizes). 3) This gym is huge. The workout floor has all areas - free weights, cardio, abs, machines and the class room very well spaced. 4) The equipment is modern. 5) The locker room is immaculate. The supplies( soap, shampoo, shaving cream, lotion and paper towels( are well stocked. 6) 2 hours validated parking on the 4th floor in the adjacent garage with a 55 feet convenient walk to the gym entrance. 7) Open weekdays at 5 am. Perfect! 8) Beautiful, relaxed vibe in the health club with no wait or rushing for the machines or weights. I left each time with a bigger smile.

Once we were able to attend classes again, I was very impressed by their dedication to keeping their clients staying safe and feeling that they were in the right hands. I have been attending classes - a few of which are free! They have 2-3 classes a week that are free to introduce you to the studio and to the art of yoga! Following their social media and keeping in touch with the studio will help you figure out when these classes happen. One of my favorite classes that this studio has to offer is "sculpt." They incorporate weights into a traditional yoga setting. This turns the class into s a full-body workout. As a male, there are times where I may not "fit in" to yoga and fitness classes, but here I felt welcome. I feel that this is a workout that other males may also benefit from. They have sessions throughout the entire day. Be sure to check the schedule and plan ahead of time as spaces fill up.

I'm not new to yoga, I'm not new to heated yoga, I'm not new to HIIT. I attend 3-5 heated vinyasa classes a week when I'm home. I signed up for a midday "Hot Yoga" class, literally, that's the name of it. Were there some references to yoga poses? Sure...but that was the extent of the yoga element. The class was heated, so they got that right too I suppose but this was not yoga. There was no emphasis on the breath or correctly getting into poses and utilizing your strength. If you want a HIIT workout and to "feel the burn" then this is the class and studio for you. If you're hoping for heated, thoughtful, meaningful vinyasa this is definitely not the spot. I didn't love the "pep" talk the teacher gave as class got started either, "what are you hear to sweat away today? What are you working for?" Yikes. The people working were friendly and the gal teaching was well meaning I imagine and kind, I'm sure she's not in charge of naming the classes or writing the descriptions. Parking was easy. The studio was pretty and clean. Large locker rooms too.

I feel like this is going to be the fairest review you are going to read on here for the HitchFit…read moreprogram. My wife and I did the couples Bootcamp. We did not lose weight on the program. Long story short, the program is extremely rigid and very difficult to follow, but if you have the ability to do so, you'd probably get into very good shape. I disagree with some of the other posts on here regarding the quality of the diet and exercise plans they provide when you sign up. I feel like they did put some thought into our programs. There was some really good information there that I will continue utilize in my fitness journey. I also don't think it is fair that people are complaining that they couldn't get their money back. Once they put the work into it and send the personalized information packets to you, that is it. There is nothing to return at that point. It's like eating an entire meal at a restaurant. You can't ask for your money back even if you didn't enjoy it like you thought you would. We worked with Micah throughout our interactions in the boot camp. He was very responsive and professional. Whenever I emailed him while I was doing the camp, he usually responded within a few minutes. I did appreciate that, but I felt like he didn't always address the problems or concerns I was having. The diet itself is going to be a bunch of small meals. Everything needs to be portioned out and balanced according to his recommendations. The meals aren't bad, but the program is extremely rigid and I don't think the diet itself if very conducive to weight loss. A lot of the foods he recommended were very high in calories or carbohydrates. I lost weight at first, but I think it was water weight. By week 5, I was steadily gaining weight back. I emailed Micah about this and suggested some adjustments I could make, so I'd be eating less. He was pretty adamant about not adjusting the diet, citing concerns that I might lose weight with less carbs or calories, but that I'd lose muscle gains that way. This brings me to my main complaint with the program. If you read about Micah, he states that his body type is a "slow gainer". I feel like his programs are better suited to people looking to put on muscle the "right way". I don't think he is really an expert at weight loss, because he really never had to deal with that problem. He was really fixated on me "not losing muscle gains", but by week 10, I was heavier than when I had started. He was empathetic, but he didn't really listen to me during our weekly check-ins to help me make adjustments to reach my goals. I feel like he would mostly just cheer me on and urge me to stick with the program. The workouts are really intense. You have cardio sessions multiple times a week and strength training on top of that. It ends up being 2-3 hours of exercise every day. There were two problems that my wife and I had with these workouts. For one, we have full time jobs and a family. Neither of us really had two or three extra hours every day. The other problem was that our bodies weren't really conditioned to jump into 2-3 hours of exercise every day. We did our best to hit our numbers, however. By the end of week 10 (of 16), my wife and I were giving up on the program. My wife had modified it to remove the carbohydrates and focus mostly on cardio. She had lost some weight after she made those adjustments. I actually gained a few pounds because I was trying to stick to the program. There is some really good information in the materials they provide, concerning both nutrition and fitness. I think the program could legitimately work if you are able to make it your absolute, sole focus. I think it could also work very well for skinny people trying to put on muscle. I can't really recommend it for people trying to lose weight, however. My wife and I tried extremely hard on this and the program did not help us lose weight. It's not really the program for busy people or working parents trying to get in shape.

It was a hot yoga class, and I was sweating a lot, but I left feeling refreshed, relieved, and really glad I came. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be looking into taking more classes here. The instructor was great and brought really good energy to the class. There were a few moments where the pace felt a little fast, though, and combined with the studio layout, it made things slightly challenging at times. The pillars in the room can block your view, so there were moments where I couldn't clearly see what she was demonstrating and felt a bit flustered trying to keep up. I can see how that might be frustrating, especially for someone newer to yoga. That said, it didn't take away from the overall experience. It was still a really strong class, and I enjoyed myself. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a good sweat and a solid workout.
