At first glance, Dr. Veluri appears to be no older than sixteen, but she is very knowledgeable, friendly , caring and comforting. He delivered my second and where most doctors just show up for the delivery, he stayed at the hospital the entire time because there was a questionable person on my delivery team and he wanted to make absolutely sure everything went smoothly. He does have a sense of humor in his work but I think it's because he trusts you with who he is the way he would expect you to trust him -if that makes sense. I really liked him. When ever I would feel a certain way about something he would always explain things and talk to me so that I could better understand a situation and I always felt at peace and better after my visits with him. He has been doing this a very long time, has seen it all, and knows exactly what he's doing. I am very grateful for the care I received from him.

He is a strange man with a strange sense of humor. Right off the bat, he asked me whose "fault" it was for my pregnancy. I'm not sure if he meant this as a joke, but I found it weird. During my FIRST pap smear, I was in a lot of pain. I told him this, and he immediately made the assumption I had an STD. I ended up not having one but this instilled a lot of unnecessary fear in me. Another odd comment he made was when he had a nurse take a look at me. He warned her beforehand to be careful with me because I "haven't had a lot of sex." Shouldn't this be protocol for everyone despite sexual history? I just found that to be a bizarre thing to say about a patient, especially a young one. He went on a trip towards the end of my pregnancy, and I ended up seeing Dr. Wright. He was much kinder and never made me uncomfortable and of course I went to him for my next pregnancy. Biggest regret was ever requesting Georgiou in the first place. If you are in Los Banos, I would advise against requesting him, unless you also have a bizzare sense of humor and like being made uncomfortable.

So just waiting for no reason. I would just make the drive for another OB. Time is valuable and the only thing they are consistent with is terrible service.
