I visit the Wappingers Falls office and I was recommended by my pcp to try acupuncture for my chronic illness. I put it off for months and finally gave in due to severe anxiety, stress and severe pain due to flare ups. The dr had changed my medication to a narcotic prescription and I just do not like medication. So I said what the heck let's try it. "I LOVE IT". I am sorry I didn't do acupuncture prior I am very relaxed, my pain is drained away from me, I leave feeling like a new person. I've been coming here for a few weeks now and I'm very happy to have found this place. I started acupuncture for help with getting pregnant and staying pregnant, and so far so good! Ying is kind, knowledgeable, and efficient, and her receptionists are really nice too. I never have to wait, and I'm always in and out quickly, which is great for my busy schedule. And it's conveniently located in midtown. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's not a very pampering experience. Treatments happen in small cubicle-like rooms, on massage tables with that medical tissue paper over them, and you can often hear what's happening in the other rooms. I don't really mind, and I'm always able to relax. But if you're looking for ambiance and atmosphere, you probably want to look elsewhere. Keep in mind though that you'll probably pay a lot more for that. TIP: If you have any of the EmblemHealth insurances (I have GHI), you get a 20% discount here. Just $60 a session, which is the cheapest I've seen for a good acupuncturist. I will definitely keep coming here for all my acupuncture needs. read more

I would stay far away. Be aware - They say they take your insurance and that it's covered - then they have you in for a few visits only to tell you that you are NOT covered, bill your insurance anyway for things you aren't covered for, and then ask you to pay out of pocket. I went in there to relieve my back pain - all I got was major headaches from her. She loves TO YELL AT YOU ON THE PHONE too!!!!!!!!!!!! So prepare yourself for that. read more

I was seeing Dr. Wu for fertility treatment. At 29 years old I am pre-menopausal with little to no eggs left. I was devastated to know this and didn't have the funds for fertility treatment. I was seeing Dr. Wu for 2 months and got pregnant . I was also taking Coq-10 recommended by him to help with egg quality. April 23 I was due to have my baby. Baby Austin decided to be late and by day 5 I contacted Dr. Wu to see if acupuncture will help put me into labor. Long behold only 5 hours later I was in labor and had my son April 28. QUACK! This office is running by a solo unprofessional practitioner, who does not know what she is doing and what she is treating to patient! She causes more disaster I never had! She damages patient's health, make false record and submit large amount of fraudulent medical bills by using another office address to steal patient's insurance. A year ago, I had consultation in this office. In order to bill my insurance for acupuncture, during my consultation, Zhao aggressively placed a large amount of cupping on top of my ENTIRE SPINE, she also however, flagrantly falsely blamed to someone else. Zhao fooled me that she had thirty(30) years of medical experience both from China and United States. Her ignorance of mis "diagnosis" for my medical conditions, which caused me bad pain, horrible skin irritation with large area red rash around my neck and back, and full of pimples PERMANENTLY staying on my skin in my body!! I have contacted her office an numerous times. Zhao flagrantly deny what she awfully did to me and my health! Zhao is also a downright unethical liar on medical billing to insurance. Right after her dreadful "treatment." She dared to falsely bill three(3) acupuncture on my one time visit for my coverage to my insurance, that I have NEVER seen any doctor who performed REAL acupuncture treatment in greater New York area! This must be how this office stealing patient's insurance to support its unethical office running. Yes, I am the only patient there on my visit. On her brazen denial of mistreatment medically and false billing to the insurance, her issue has been submitted to the state of board review. If you looking for treatment, there are many good and decent acupuncturist in NYC who is medically knowledgeable and ethically disciplined. I was diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease while studying abroad and had chronic pain that would not go away even after multiple rounds of antibiotic treatments. I chose Doctor Zhao because of her Ob/Gyn background and because of all the raving reviews I read online. Upon arriving at her Manhattan clinic, Dr. Zhao gave me a thorough diagnosis and started me on treatment and herbal medicine right away. I really liked the fact that Doctor Zhao tailored her treatment to my condition. She is extremely knowledgeable of PID treatment. She also used a heated lamp to help ease my inflammation.
