A well decorated and relaxing restaurant to grab Thai food in Haltom City. All the classic Thai fares are offered with a slight modern twist. Everything came out fresh, hot, and delicious. Our server was extremely tentative and sweet

We came during the soft opening and it was pretty crowded. They have a beautiful dining area with a view into the kitchen. Restrooms are not gender marked and are also well decorated, but don't have changing tables. Very well staffed with friendly waiters. Large pitchers of water at the table meant never having to ask for a refill. The food was pretty standard; of the dishes we ordered the pad see ewe was the best while the pad kee mao was a bit lacking. The menus are a bit annoying as they are 2 large laminated sheets printed front and back. My biggest criticism is that Thai food in this area is really good at a price point $4-5 lower per dish. I'll certainly stop by again, but if I'm craving Thai there are other options within the search radius that have better quality food at a better value.

Tried this place with the fam tonight. They've only been open about a week but service was on point and very friendly. Vibe is chill and not too loud. The pad Thai was very flavorful - if we had one criticism, the lobster in both dishes was a tad overcooked. The Wagyu in the boat noodles was tender and delicious. With a wide variety of dishes on the menu we'll definitely be back to try more.

Stopped by here for their Soft Opening. Great location and super cute decor, but it really stopped there. I don't know if it was because they have a lot of seafood dishes or what it was, but there was definitely a strong odor in the air. I didn't do much research on the place before going so we were kind of blind to what they had there. We ordered the Thai coffee & Longan juice. The coffee was very sweet, but it was in line with what we're used to when it comes to Oleang. The Longan juice was straight syrup. It was just too sweet for me & I noticed that other ppl had the Longan fruit in their drinks but mine did not. We tried their Beef Shank Boat Noodles, the Khao Man Gai Yang & the Chicken Skin. We also ordered the Luang Prabang style Som Thum (but she for some reason didn't think we wanted it, weird). The boat noodles were not quite authentic; which was a disappointment considering the location is going to be predominantly Asian cuisines, & they did not stay true to how the "broth" is normally made. It also did not come with any fresh veggies and we had to ask for the accoutrements for it. The chicken skin was fine, would've been better with the papaya salad the Khao Man Gai Yang was also different, it was more like roasted chicken that was marinated in a yellow/turmeric curry. It actually had great flavor, but it did not come with soup and the rice was really just plain. The dipping sauce was not really to our taste either. I ordered the Pad Kra Pow to go as well & my husband said that it was a tad salty but would've been okay if he had more rice. The portions also were on the modest side. The biggest thing was that we felt a little slighted by the service. It's a long standing history between 2 cultures and it was a lot of little things that amounted to a whole. We will not be going back.

Crying tiger and sticky rice

Food was flavorful and a nice level of spice they're able to add. Service was very attentive throughout the meal and loved the interior of this space.

I decided to try the Massaman curry tonight - it's definitely the best one I've had in years - not too sweet, just the right amount of spice, and a very healthy portion of (my protein of choice for this dish tonight) and vegetable vegetables. I also ordered the crispy pork belly appetizer, which is so tasty and one of my go to's. The combination of kimchi with pork belly is just delicious! I also ordered the fried tofu which I'll probably have with my lunch tomorrow - I think I've ordered this every time. It's always cooked perfectly ( never undercooked or overcooked), and the chili dipping sauce is perfect! I decided to treat myself to the mango sticky rice dessert for later - depending on how full I am from the curry and the pork valley that may also have to wait until tomorrow. I love that they use a combination of both the sticky white rice and the purple rice, which gives it a bit of a nuttier flavor and balances the sweet a bit more. I usually place my orders to go, but every time I've been in the restaurant it's very clean, the team that works there are always extremely friendly and give the best recommendations, and it's always filled with their regulars. If you haven't tried Buon Bistro, I strongly encourage you to do so. Whether you dine in or do it to order (I placed my order via Instacart tonight), you'll get nothing but the best tasting food, amazing quality of ingredients, and incredible Customer Service.

Some recommendations: Boat noodles: What they are famous for...sort of like the Thai response to pho, but with a thicker broth with lots more herbs (and the blood.) I prefer it to any pho I've had hands down. Khaosoi: Egg noodle curry soup with crispy noodles on top, and some pickled veggies to add a salty contrast. Suki haeng / nam: This is the Thai version of sukiyaki. Suki haeng is stir-fried, while suki nam is the same dish but in a soup broth. The sauce is a mix of sweet and spicy. I've tried some other variations of this dish elsewhere, but none compare. Kung nam khon: Shrimp noodle soup, delicious if you like something a little on the sour side (lots of lime and lemongrass flavors in the broth.) All the curries, but especially panang, matsaman or pineapple. Noodles: The classics like pad woon sen, pad Thai and pad se ew are safe options which always taste good. The pad Thai is not as heavy on the sweet sauce as many places, so be aware of that. It's more smoky which I think makes it stand out in a good way. They also have the best Thai tea and Thai coffee around in my opinion.

Better than others I've tried in the past. The pad kee mow was ok. The sauce was very light in amount and flavor, however, for a spice level of one, it was really spicy. I can only imagine how a two would be. The noodles were nice and chewy, but that's pretty much all I enjoyed with the dish. The last thing we got was their basil fried rice and it was good too. Lots of basil, which I like.

The owners are always here and they are really the only workers here. A cute couple who makes amazingly delicious Lao food. It's a very small space but don't let that fool you. This place gets packed with people looking for a great meal that reminds them of their own parents cooking. The interior is very simple. I've had almost everything on their menu. The papaya salad reminds me of my moms and the sausage and fried chicken is the best complement with some sticky rice of course. The kao piak (Laos chicken noodle soup) is fresh and hits the spot every time! Give this place a try and support local businesses! You definitely won't regret it.
