We chose the special meal option which was £12/£15 per person and included first course of mixed starters- seaweed, prawn toast, satay chicken, chicken wings and spring rolls. 2nd course was aromatic duck pancakes. For the 3rd course you have a whole list of dishes and you can chose up to 5. We have been back a dew times and always leave full. Don't be fooled by the cheaper options though as it all adds up when you add drinks etc...

Sun Hin is one of those generic suburban Chinese Take-Away shops. You know, the ones with just a bench inside to sit in while you wait, hand-written signs proclaiming '10 spring rolls for £1.80' and fake potted plants. But somehow I totally love it. With a huge menu of all things Chinese, Sun Hin also does lots of veggie and seafood dishes - they also do faux-chicken and lamb dishes, which I haven't tried but am guessing might be akin to Quorn products. Micro-proteins galore. Clearly family-run, Sun Hin is cheap, dirty and fabulous. Just the way I like my Chinese.

We were able to order a variety of dishes including mushroom and chicken dumplings, hand pulled noodles, and smashed cucumbers. The cucumbers were in a great peanut-y sauce that wasn't expected but very welcomed. The noodles had a great ratio to its chili oil sauce and were really tender. It's been there for 20 years plus which in London is a recommendation in and of itself. I don't usually have starters but it's quite impossible not to order the crispy lamb. So succulent beneath the crisp exterior. Followed by Cantonese roast duck and/or crispy belly pork. Sensational, especially the pork. Or, even though it's Cantonese, they do Peking Crispy Duck which you can have either as a starter or main. Dried crispy shredded beef with Chili is another favourite. Service is friendly and the price very reasonable. A great mix of styles. Highly recommend. Easy to get to by tube or bus.

The "25" for food on Zagats seems spot on while the decor is nothing special. The service was good and even replaced a soup which I misordered. Speaking of soups, the hot and sour soup was outstanding-- some of the finest I've had. And I've had literally dozens of them. Not too heavy on the pepper, it was chock full of yummy vegetables and pork. Loved this soup. The main dishes were all knockouts but the crispy half duck and the veal with salt were among he standouts. But I could also have the chow mein and the fried scallops too. Overall, an excellent example of how a Chinese restaurant can stick around through the years and still reinvent itself each day. Hurray!
