The prices for drinks and food are a bit pricey but for truckers this maybe heaven when you've been on the road driving for days. They do have broasted chicken which was a pleasant surprise as most stops have fried food all day long. The gas was reasonably priced. My spouse says for a flying J this is a pretty nice one. I would recommend this location for sure for a quick me up or a fill up.

Why, cause it was so clean and always stocked. I have not been in over a year and WOW. We stopped on the way back from New Mexico on 09/01/25 at 8 pm. We kept saying we will gas up and get some good coffee at the Flying J in Tye........WOW what a disappointment. I stopped and parked at the pump at the pump and it was dead, 2 other cars on a night of much traffic on 20. Weird. No paper towels to clean windshields, trash all over the ground along with spilled drinks etc. My better half had already gone inside to go to the restroom and get some trail mix I was soon to follow after filling up. I filled up and guess what, no receipt as no paper. OK, maybe it just ran out, but soon to find out it was just not refilled cause of the lack of customer service. I get my refillable Yetti and head on in. As I get inside I see the better half and said please hold my Yetti, need to go to restroom. I get the response of "watch out, it's filthy". Sure enough, wow, 1 urinal is out of order, floor has paper towels just thrown on the floor, It smelled and was indeed filthy. I go back out and get my Yetti for coffee and I always put half n half.....they have a dispenser of reg half n half and milk. YUCK, They were both empty and the stuff was dripped all over that looked as if it had not been cleaned in a week or longer. All dried up half n half. Counters were also filthy. They had the same type of dispenser on the other side, well guess what......same! Both half n half and the flavored creamer were empty and guess what, was just as gross and filthy as if it had not been cleaned or wiped down in a week or more. No small individual half n half deals in the tray either. So, I guess no coffee for me. I go up to the front counter with better half who just needed to buy the trail mix.......waiting in line when 2 workers and a manager was checking out a customer. Manager turned to one of the girls and said, can you take them.......walked to her and she just ignored us. So, went back to the managers line where it was just 1 other customer he was helping, then the lady goes "oh, sorry, you can come here" after she was done checking her cell phone. We said forget it, left the trail mix and I said to all three why is there no half n half? They all just looked at me dumb. I then said is this still a Flying J as I saw adverts and mugs etc that said PILOT, and she said yes it's a flying J. I said then why do you all have merchandise that say Pilot, she said cause we were bought out by PILOT.....so then it is a PILOT! We left and will never be back, we will also let others know how it was. We looked at many reviews online as we were driving home and all reviews were positive up until about a year ago. So, that must have been when Pilot bought the Flying J. Oh, I forgot to mention that I went over to the Denny's to see if they had some half n half and I waited 6 min. no one ever came out! It was dark and filthy as well! So, again, it is to bad this place was taken over by a company that does not care! It shows and is so trashy!!!!!

Watched as "Manager" returned from an outside location with drinks for staff. Watched as 2 other customers came in and tried cappucino/latte machine, all flavors put out only hot water. After 35 minutes I approached the counter with a soda, handed the cappucino cup to the cashier, and told her about my wait. She spoke to "manager," who walked to machine, and pronounced that it was working. I said, it just dispenses hot water, and she said that they had "just" received a shipment of product, and had not had time to unload it. I also saw that several of the cup trays were empty, and lids were empty in the soda area. This place needs a new Manager!

The thing is.... the person attending the counter, whichever person attending the counter...in an EMPTY store...seems to act like I am bothering them when I go in to pay! It has happened multiple times! Multiple employees! I even pulled up, saw the attendant outside the side door smoking a cigarette while watching me pump gas.... I went in to pay, stood there waiting for her to come back in. Finally a guy servicing a machine in the store stuck his head out and told her she had a customer. I guess this is why the store and the parking lot are always empty, and I guess this is why I am giving them no more chances.
