When they could not drive up the driveway, we were given 15 minutes to meet them with my truck before they left. They placed the appliances and attachments in my truck and left without installation instructions or communicating a plan to complete their agreed upon responsibilities. The onus was placed on us to contact Lowes or make other arrangements. Multiple contacts with agents of Lowes led to their best offer of returning a week later. Unacceptable risk to the appliances and wear on my vehicle as the appliances would have a week of exposure to the elements. I would either need to find alternative transportation or drive around with appliances in the truck bed: risking damage in transport, risking theft, adding wear to my vehicle due to appliances' weight.  Lowes is to refund all fees and surcharges: delivery, installation, haul away, mileage, labor, convenience charges. Plus, because of the inconveniences dumped on us due to your employees' incompetence, Lowes is to refund 10% of the cost of the appliances. Your company needs to stop making agreements it cannot fulfill. Karen McCracken Order # 202257337251367309 Case #72462608

First, I want to start by saying the experience I had in the store was good. I was assisted by…read moreAlphonso, and the cashier was Donny. Both men were exceptional in meeting all my needs, and I would like to commend them for their service. The main reason for giving 2 stars (I'd give less if the store experience were bad) was due to the survey. I wanted to give kudos to the employees, so I called the number on the receipt and took a very quick survey that did not provide access to letting management know about how good the employees were. Instead, I received a text saying I was one of the winners of a $500 Lowe's gift card. I called the provided number and ended up getting scammed, being charged $500 for a gift card I never received. I then contacted Lowe's, and they only took the information but did not offer to assist in any way. Beware of any consequences that may result from using the survey to report good or bad service. This is the main reason I want to enter this report is to save others from becoming victims of a scam that Lowes will not resolve. Thank you

Let me start by saying the staff here is great. Very nice, very helpful. BUT...they have some of…read morethe most overpriced items I have ever seen in a Goodwill. They price things as if they were an antique store and not a thrift shop that gets their inventory for free. They already ask you to "round up" your "donation" when you check out...and have zero problem charging almost retail on any item that might be collectible. The point of a Goodwill is to find a deal. You won't find one in Sylva. You are better off on eBay. Truth.

"Shoppe"....yes, you read it right! And although most items in a Goodwill have been pre-owned, that…read moredoesn't mean they are from the Middle Ages. Quite the contrary, actually. You never know what treasures lie inside a Goodwill, so get diggin'. This location is very new. It opened in December of 2015. It is clean and well organized. I did not have to stand on tiptoe to get to scarves. Shoes were not a jumbled mess. Everything was tangible. I scored new dishes from Target, a Gap sweat jacket for my kid, and an H&M scarf for my other kid, but I am hoping that she does not wear it for six months so I can rightfully claim it. We also got a cocktail glass and a framed pic of a unicorn. That picture now graces my living room. The employees here are so nice! An employee told me that the local college students donate wonderful items. I saw a great selection of books, come to think of it. I like the fact that this location is a true "shoppe"- small, not crammed, and not overwhelmed with too many items. You can pop in and pop out, even just for kicks. And even though a fellow patron decided to block me from potential finds with her strategically placed cart, fellow competitive moms do not abound here. Relax, reuse. If you got that certain je ne sais quoi but want more, then this is the place for you. (Monday through Saturday: Nine to eight. Sunday: One to six.)
