Failure to Deliver 12-16-25 Lowes was to deliver a washer and dryer, install the appliances, and haul away the old appliances. When they could not drive up the driveway, we were given 15 minutes to meet them with my truck before they left. They placed the appliances and attachments in my truck and left without installation instructions or communicating a plan to complete their agreed upon responsibilities. The onus was placed on us to contact Lowes or make other arrangements. Multiple contacts with agents of Lowes led to their best offer of returning a week later. Unacceptable risk to the appliances and wear on my vehicle as the appliances would have a week of exposure to the elements. I would either need to find alternative transportation or drive around with appliances in the truck bed: risking damage in transport, risking theft, adding wear to my vehicle due to appliances' weight.  Lowes is to refund all fees and surcharges: delivery, installation, haul away, mileage, labor, convenience charges. Plus, because of the inconveniences dumped on us due to your employees' incompetence, Lowes is to refund 10% of the cost of the appliances. First, I want to start by saying the experience I had in the store was good. I was assisted by Alphonso, and the cashier was Donny. Both men were exceptional in meeting all my needs, and I would like to commend them for their service. The main reason for giving 2 stars (I'd give less if the store experience were bad) was due to the survey. I wanted to give kudos to the employees, so I called the number on the receipt and took a very quick survey that did not provide access to letting management know about how good the employees were. Instead, I received a text saying I was one of the winners of a $500 Lowe's gift card. I called the provided number and ended up getting scammed, being charged $500 for a gift card I never received. I then contacted Lowe's, and they only took the information but did not offer to assist in any way. Beware of any consequences that may result from using the survey to report good or bad service. This has been the worst experience. Firstly customer care is pathetic. Alot of talk but no action from both store and general call center. I have 2 door that needed to be installed it's taken 7 months still not completed. I have called multiple of times the service that was giving was empty promises. Payed for removal and nothing has been removed I still have the incorrect doors that was delivered in my home. Quality and control purposes on a call is not even monitored. Paid for an electric range at Sylva Lowes on 3,28,24 was to be delivered for pick up on Thursday 4,4,24 .Never got a call or text so we went by 3 different times with no luck,when my husband said I want my money back they finally decided it was there yesterday.Guess what it's been there since the 4th an we just got it today !! Your Sylva NC store sold me a refrigerator. Then the inept delivery service you use sent out unqualified drivers that were "scared" to go on my driveway. Actually a -5 star review on Saturday May 27, 2023 i tried to return a broken Craftsman sander to Lowe's of Sylva N.C. I had a receipt from July '22 and it stopped working. The "Mgr" let me know Lowe's return policy was no returns after 90 days. Being unhappy i asked him to return the $ so i could buy another, working, sander. His response NO. He went on to say his job was to PROTECT LOWE'S ASSETS. I asked him about protecting CUSTOMER SERVICE, no response. I asked for his District Manager's name & phone #, he refused. Well Im glad the town has a Lowes as it comes in handy to have this store. That said, this one seems to have a loads of red vests all over the place, but try to find one that can help. Only a few of them know anything. They are often in a huddle taking and if you stand there nobody is going to break from the huddle to help you. When they are alone walking they veer off not from fear of covid but because you might want some help and they wont know the answer in most cases. I just bought a refrigerator. Purchased a 4.4 cubic mini Hisense refrigerator. First one was damaged. Returned. The the temperature on the second refrigerator could not be regulated. Some drinks froze while others were somewhat cold. Vegetables froze. I had the refrigerator for 17 days.I tried to regulate the temp, but couldn't. Sylva Lowes would not accept my return. Absolutely the worst customer service of any Lowe's I've been into. Went in early in the morning unfortunately, during the time all the employees were chatting and catching up on their personal stuff. In the store for 40 minutes and no one asked if they could help me. What's going to buy some scaffolding and two employees were talking at the end of the aisle. I stood there, looking at them waiting for them to finish their conversations so I can find out the price, but once they finish their conversation, they both turned and walked away. 2 x 4 by tens were stacked head high. I asked one employee if he had some lower to the ground and his response was that was the retail spot for them and he had a hoe I could pull them down with. I'm not making this stuff up. I loaded 62 by fours by myself because I had to have them. No one in the store offered any assistance yet they were standing everywhere yakking. read more

Me and my Father went into this location on Jan. 11, 2018 to purchase a few things for a room we are building. (Drywall, Peg Board, etc.) Upon walking in we noticed 5 guys standing at the counter doing absolutely nothing. We go to the dry wall section, and anyone who builds can tell you that drywall is not a light material. The specific drywall we purchased was stacked in 2's. These workers not once looked up, asked if we needed help, or were the least bit concerned about us loading this. Besides the fact that these were heavy to load, the carts managed to be the worst part of the trip. The edges of them dented the drywall and peg board we picked up and the post scraped both of them all to pieces and caused 2 pieces of the drywall to rip. As a local business owner, this is not the customer service I expect from a store. If Home Depot was 30 miles closer, I would make the other 30 mile drive to get to it. read more

I'm currently remodeling a house and went to Lowe's and spent over $2500 on drywall & roofing materials. The delivery was supposed to be two days after my purchase date. Well guess what? Today is the day it was supposed to be delivered from 8am-12pm. It's currently 2pm and I called multiple times and talked to 5 different people that told me that I didn't have a delivery for today. I am livid because we were expecting these items today and really needed them (it clearly states on the receipt that I was supposed to get the items today.) I called one last time someone answered and again told me I didn't have a delivery order for today. I demanded to speak to a manager got put on hold for additional 20 minutes. She told me someone else rescheduled my delivery and that someone called me yesterday because the items I ordered were out of stock. No one called me, and the items were in stock two days ago when I placed my order. It would have been nice if someone actually called me and told me this, instead of wasting my day waiting on them. I went to this Lowe's with my friends to pick up some shelves so that her cat could have things to climb on. When we got to the Lowe's we went to the shelving area and found the shelves that she wanted but we had a few questions about the shelves that she wanted so we push the help button on the wall. I was standing next to the help button on the wall waiting for a worker to come. As anyone who goes to Lowe's knows, the help button keeps announcing that someone needs help until the person comes and turns it off. The worker came from around the corner and yelled at me to stop pushing the help button. Then never came to help me. I went to the front and got help from another worker who seemed to be shocked I was treated this way. I bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on July 10th, upon installation I discovered it was not cooling. Today is July 25th and I am still without a major appliance. If you have a family or household and want reliable quick service and support the Lowe's, particularly the Sylva store is not where you are going to get it. Imagine not having a refrigerator, washer, or dryer for over two weeks. I have routinely called Lowe's to work through their service center to repair or replace the unit. I had a technician come out and assess the problem but he was not certified to work on that particular model. If you are like myself moving large appliances isn't something I want to do, nor pay for the expense of having done. They have offered a refund of the purchase price if I bring it back in. So we sold a bad product and aren't in any hurry to help fix it, or help you in your time of need. Who cares about your job, family and daily responsibilities... take some time off from work, call some friends to help move it, and do all the work to bring it back in and we will effortlessly issue a refund by pecking of a few keys on the register. WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE? Save the pains of my experience and just buy it online(somewhere other than Lowe's and not a Samsung Appliance) and save some money while you are at it, and have it delivered. They haven't provided a loaner or offered to pick-up or replace the unit despite them knowing per their own dispatched technician that their is an issue with the condenser. I was told today through the service center that it could be two to three more days before another repair company would setup a follow-up visit. Then Lowe's would then determine if I qualified for a loaner while my appliance was being worked on. Went to Lowes for carpet. Made our selection got the measure done. About a week later I get a call the estimate is ready. We were told that it was free furniture move at the store and the carpet was on sale it came with pad and the sales person said it wouldn't be more than $3000. Well once the estimate was sent to me via email to my shock it was $4400. The explanation I got was well your furniture is large heavy stuff so we have to charge you for moving the furniture. The next problem was the pad that was added even though we were told it cane with the carpet. Needless to say we decided to shop around. I contacted the store to see if there was anything that could be done and I was told no that the other places don't offer a lifetime install warranty. I work for a company that has that lifetime warranty on install and I know that there is NO cost to that because it isn't the install that causes problems it is normally the products are defective and those instances are covered by the manufacturer. I called BS and went elsewhere to find that I could get the same style and grade of carpet for half the cost of Lowes. I contacted their customer service in the corporate office to get the same line of crap. Needless to say speaking to their managers is useless you get no customer service and no one wants to take responsibility for the issues that a customer experiences. I used Carpet Barn in Waynesville and we are having carpet installed for $2600 with them moving our furniture an upgraded pad and a better grade of carpet. BEWARE OF THIS STORE THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU and you will never know unless you shop around. I will use Lowes for everyday stuff but not for the big purchase I will go to the mom and pop stores from now on. They appreciate your business. read more

Because you just want to do the right thing then the manager of appliances at Lowes Sylva makes me realized and confirm why this world is so mess up and lack of honesty... We had a delivery fridge this morning. After we had all our food out from the old fridge for over 30 -45 min, house doors down delivery guys had to remove them to have the new fridge into the house; also the old fridge was already on the driveway waiting for friends to pick it up for them to use it THEN we realized it was not the fridge we ordered. Obviously; the fridge they were installing was more expensive. Well; I though I was doing the right thing I didn't want the delivery guys got in trouble in case they were installed the wrong one. so; I let them know about it. After several calls they let us know they need to take that fridge back because it was $4400 fridge which double the price of the one we ordered. So; I went online to check prices and realized that fridge was actually around $600 more than the one we want it because it is also 40% off a deal Lowes has going on. We thought it is easy to change paper work than have the delivery guys taking that fridge out again put doors back etc... We also were worry to lost our food especially the ribeyes we bough yesterday all together we had over $200 in meats plus the rest of food we have already in boxes in our living room we definitely didn't want to throw away all our food waiting for the other fridge since they make the mistake with this wrong delivery So; we decided to make the phone call to Lowes to talk to this guy "appliances' manager" a butthole which makes us feel like it was actually our fault of this mistake...He said he will transfer this call to his boss because it was not his call... After waiting there was not Boss it was this "appliances manager" again saying he talk to her but; there is nothing they can do so; they will sent the right fridge later or tomorrow. Well; we still were worry for our food. We didn't want a free fridge we were willing to pay more because we knew was a better one but; We didn't even have the chance because this manager which looks like he didn't even know this fridge also have a 40% OFF he just didn't want to listen. Well; here we go again bring the old fridge back in the house to be connect; put house doors back on and put away food back in the OLD FRIDGE hoping our foods are still good. Well; ice cream was already melted not good just like the costumer services appliances manager at Lowes Sylva NOT GOOD. So; we decided to cancel the order for the fridge. This morning we woke up very happy for our new fridge but it turn out as a super upsetting Sunday for me. I cannot help I just feel sad, upset, and disappointed of everything. One person can make u feel like you did something wrong when u think you did the right thing. We don't own a construction company so we don't spend millions of dollars per month but We just move to our new home so; we have been spending a good amount almost every week there I have to say Lowes always have great employees which help me all the time. But just because of one person with a terrible costumer service this "appliances manager" I am not sure if I will ever buy anything there.
