I now have a favorite place for Italians. The fillings were abundant, the bread was not too thick , not soggy, with really fresh meat and veggies. The sandwich was served really cold which is appropriate but not always the case at other shops. The small is plenty for two people looking to just eat a little something and under 10 dollars. They sell different goods, grocery, spirits. Cashing out the lady was very pleasant and wished me a great time on my coast ride to Belfast. The first sign "You are not special" it's referring to customers placing their items on the register belt and then continuing to shop like other people may not cash out while they are shopping, taking up belt space for customers who are in fact ready to check out. Rockland Foodservice has carts, baskets, and baskets with wheels for their customers to use instead of the register belt. So no you are not special enough to put your stuff here and inconvenience everyone else. As for the other sign " we will give you attention when you give us yours" refers to customers using cellphones while at the register cashing out. And asks customers not to do it. It's rude. I'm sorry are you talking to the person on the phone or are you talking to the cashier cause I bet the cashier doesn't know either. How it is that in 2024 we are upset with stores or any one asking for respect or at the very least a little common courtesy when interacting with other people out in the wild. I say wild because people are wild these days. Rockland foodservice has the best customer service around when they will take all of your groceries out to your car and load your car for you, they are always available to help and try to find whatever you need if they don't carry it. So in short, if you're going to leave a review (I'm looking at you Dennis F) at least have the common decency and courtesy make sure you include all the context.

The much wider aisles mean when you stop to read the labels, you won't be in everyone's way! It's cleaner, more well organized, and easier to navigate. Personally, I prefer the original location (the way I preferred the Tontine Mall version of Wild Oats over the Brunswick Landing version; if you're local, you'll know the exact vibe I mean). Something about it feels stuck in time, like it's still 1995; I kind of like the chaos of the too-many-people in a space where there's too-much-stuff; also, the impressive, seemingly dedicated vegan cheese case makes it a destination spot for natural food stores in Maine! My one observation is the parking lot isn't necessarily handicap friendly (I'm a DSP, I take folks with disabilities out for community access) there are handicap spots, but it's not ear the access area to safely cross the road in a wheelchair. I hope this is fixed in the future. It's difficult to walk with three people who need supports, behind other vehicles to the crossing section and up the ramp, from the handicap spots. Not impossible, but a little tricky for folks that elope from the group. Just some feedback. They still enjoyed their visit!
