A gem of a supermarket within walking distance of downtown Damarscotta. Anything your heart…read moredesires.. from raw milk to fancy wine. Organic fruit amply available. Home made delicious ginger molasses gargantuan cookies a must. Best of all an electric plug for my hybrid with comfortable seats to wait for the charge. You don't have to be a $10 member to shop. Helpful staff and excellent parking.

My husband and I have always been a bit shocked at the prices yes. So we have not shopped here much…read moreover the past few years. But. Not wanting to spend another $50 on lunch at the usual places in town we decided to grab some tuna salad today and eat outside. I bought an Asian salad with noodles and peanuts and carrots and incredible dressing. I swear, this was the best salad I've had in months if not years. I'm not kidding. Even the carrots stood out, were different. Delicious. The fennel is 2 or 3 times bigger than fennel at the grocery stores, $4.99 (usually about $3.99 at the others) 4 kinds of plantain chips. Fantastic low sugar pineapple soda from Mexico. Beautiful corn. After eating this food today at a picnic table over on Pemaquid Pond, we are doing a complete reversal and going to start shopping here a lot more. Yes it's expensive but vegetables do taste different, esp when they're not flown in from far away. And the attitudes of the employees is joyful and welcoming, such a good feeling. Good Job Rising Tide!

And though we've enjoyed many of their outstanding meat cuts, a variety of local items they carry and their full liquor selections, I've come to Yelp today to sing the praises of their store made smoked salmon salad with salmon supplied from Maine's Duck Trap fisheries. This salad is first of all salmony, appropriately salty, chunky, and filled with tiny bits of red onion and celery and just enough mayo to hold it together. What a great find at this fun to shop at market. I eat it on Triscuits, corn chips, baby carrots, or to be embarrassingly honest...from my finger. I love it when I discover something previously unknown to me. And though I have been eating smoked salmon, lox/Nova since early childhood, I am so happy to have recently found this. Great job Bow Street Market! It's sold in various sized small tubs at $10.99/lb. and well worth this price.

We needed to get something fresh for dinner at the airport and I saw this while searching the area. We were helped by friendly staff at the deli counter who made us a hummus wrap and turkey sandwich to go and I got a pasta salad from their fresh deli salads. I love local markets like this with fresh items and a deli when I travel and I'm so glad we found this. They had my baby's favorite snacks in the toddler section and some delicious grab and go drinks in the cooler as well. They won't have all the things since it's a smaller, boutique market, but quality is here.

We did…read moreeverything thru the app and followed instructions but after ten minutes when we stopped someone to ask them, they had no records of our return. We then went inside and were told there is no one able to do a return at the service desk so it's closed for the night, but we could stand in line where there "is a bit of a wait" to see if a cashier knew how to do a return. No thanks we aren't waiting in line on the of chance one of these people MIGHT knows how to do a return. After twenty years in retail myself, I understand staffing issues and training issues but NEVER have I been in a store this size where there wasn't someone competent enough to complete a basic return. There is evidently enough staff for the Team Lead Jordan and three others to stand at self checkout and chat amongst themselves, and for someone else to sit in the dark in customer service on her phone, and someone else to stand at the door and stare at everyone who walks out, but not enough staff to do a return. Thanks for delivering on my expectations Walmart....Jordan, you have a lot to learn. Good luck.

I tried to pick them up in a huge rush--they asked me my family member's birthday, and I admittedly didn't know it off the top of my head; I said "uhh, maybe... (month) (day). But I'm not sure. I might have make a call." I guessed it wrong of course, and had to make a call to ascertain the birthday. I walked back to the pharmacy about 5 minutes later, and they hatefully sneered at me: "hahaha, ha ha ha ha. Finally got it right this time? heh" Yeah, take a hike.
