The sites are spaced apart nicely so you don't feel cramped and they had a variety of different sites, some near the lake, some in the open, and my personal favorite, some with lots of trees. All the sites have electric and water and all are close to restrooms. And get this....all sites are only $25 a night!!!! This campground is a must stay!!!! I promise you'll love it!!!! I forgot to mention, they also sell wood and have a convenient store on site with very reasonable prices.

We loved the looks of this campground from the website pictures. It seemed to have everything we…read morewere looking for in a seasonal campsite. So when we pulled up we were definitely not impressed by the construction we saw going on, but figured this was just a temporary thing. You know...adding some campsites and doing some minor updates. NOT. The whole first season was just addition upon addition of digging huge pits and tearing apart old buildings...not a single project ever finished before the next was started. The second year was even worse. In addition to that, our lovely neighbor's site happened to be that of the owners sister...who was allowing her dog to crap all over our site since it was immediately adjacent to hers. Apparently she lived there all year long and so we were welcomed back to camp the third year (after having already complained about the landmines the year prior) to 30+ piles of crap. When we mentioned it to the owners for the second time...Lloyd got extremely offended, arguing with us and telling us the piles weren't even dog crap but from wild animals. Sorry...but we have three dogs and know what dog doo looks like. The whole incident was uncalled for and made us so uncomfortable we pulled our camper out the following weekend. We have better things to do with $1000 then pay for a "shitty" campsite. If you have to stay at this campground...stay clear of the Cabin on the Hill.

FLRV opened in the last couple years and is a great addition to the camping options around the Finger Lakes. Located about 1/3 of the way up the eastern side of Seneca Lake, the location provides easy access to the wineries, distilleries, and breweries along the lake. This is a family owned campground and the owners were very friendly and took pride in their business. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies are included at check-in.  The campground sites are very large and spread out. Being a newer campground, the trees are small, but that did not take away from the experience. Easy maneuverability, great wifi and water pressure, along with level sites make it a great place to stay. The bath house is emmaculate and rivals those at Fort Wilderness Resort. Amenities are minimal (no pool, playground, or golf carts), but they are bookended by two wineries with walking paths from the campground. Due to the minimal amenities, it is very quiet and relaxing especially in the evenings sitting around the campfire.  I look forward to returning to the Finger Lakes RV park as this is easily one of our top campgrounds when needing to relax.

The resort is walking distance to two wine tasting rooms, a convenience store and a diner. Nicely appointed new clean bathrooms and dog park!!! Looking forward to my trip next year!

I visited in the winter to see the falls frozen over, and the park rangers had done an excellent job keeping the trail well maintained. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the waterfall, and there's very little elevation change along the way. North Rim trail entrance was close during winter due to ice and snow. But you can skip the dangerous part of the trail by parking at the Taughannock Falls overlook point and start hiking from there. Then you will reach the upper falls. Parking is only $10. lot is small so warmer weather probably will fill up pretty quickly.

I thought it was a fairly easy 1 mile hike out to the falls (though my coworker vehemently disagrees that 1 mile and easy belong in the same sentence - sorry Miss Sheila!), and there were some falcons swooping around. There is a fee to park, but were still spots remaining when we arrived. We should have received discounted parking with a Military ID, but the booth was unmanned that day, so we paid anyway. There is a restroom facility at the parking lot, and it wasn't bad. I actually think it was heated, so that was nice. I'd be interested in seeing the falls and hiking the upper trail when the weather is better!
