For pizza, I love the Dear Darla which is actually a panizza --- urban legends claim that the term is a hybrid of pizza and panini(?). The Dear Darla is a thin crust pizza pie that comes with a box of arugula leaves and alfalfa sprouts. To eat it, you are supposed to layer some of the sprouts and leaves on top of the pizza and then roll it like a burrito. The crisp and clean flavor of the greens provides a refreshing contrast to the greasiness of the meat and cheese. For dessert, a quarter pint of pistachio ice cream is the bomb. I unashamedly admit that I've tasted several brands that taste better than Yellow Cab's ice cream but I can't resist collecting the cute cans that they come in.

Charlie Chan anyone? It seems that Yellow Cab really hit it big with this pasta offering as there are only a few pizza places that serve pasta as good as their pizza. Charlie Chain is basically spaghetti tossed in olive-based sauce with chicken pieces, peanuts, mushrooms and a whole lot of herbs. While I'm not a fan of spicy noodles, Yellow Cab's Charlie Chan forces me to convert to the spicy side as I've been known to finish a whole order myself - along with a liter of water. Yellow Cab is surely one of the few local brands that has impressed me due to their marketing strategy. Being a local brand comes as a surprise to many people as the brand seems to exude international appeal. But no, that's definitely the catch. Yellow Cab is 100% proudly Pinoy made.

Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo is a no non-sense pizza joint that let's you have your pie and calzone at a wallet friendly price. They have just about every pizza combination available from a vegetable number to an all-meat masterpiece, and to a mix of both--just choose from their (super) extensive menu. But what I love about Angel's is not their toppings but their option to go from normal crust to thin, or even to a double. Now the Angel's Double is worth mentioning simply because of its gargantuan appeal--double the crust and double the toppings, which makes for a ridiculously filling meal for less than P700. The flavors available for the Double include BBQ, Cheesy Melt, and Cheesy Burger. If you aren't full yet, feel free to indulge in their side dishes that include buffalo wings, potato tots, and an apple crumble turnover for a sweet finisher.

I don't know how much of that is true, if any, but what I would like to know is if this place is related to the Angel's Burger place that has a branch just about anywhere. The main draw here is that their pizzas are downright dirt cheap. Just 599 pesos for a 14 inch pizza? Where else are you going to find that? They also have buckets of fried chicken, for those who need more than pizza. Whenever the boss wants to party in the office, we order four of their best and largest pizzas, and several buckets of chicken and rice. Let's get this party started!

While the whole point of coming out of a DIY pizza shop is to cater to different taste, you'll have to admit that there are the good ones from the not-so-good ones. And I am proud to say that I have created quite a few great tasting pizzas. Maybe I should put up my own pizza shop ey? I would understand that most people would want to fill their pizzas to the brim, but that's really not the way to do it. Just choose a few of your favorites with a good selection of meat, cheese, mushrooms and vegetables. Moderation is key. You may not know this but adding vegetables would neutralize the taste of the dish, compared to an all-meat one. So put in a scoop of those bell peppers, even just a few. You'll thank me for it!

You can either make your own or choose from one of the options on the menu and then add on whatever you like. I forgot the price...I'll look into it. I usually order the chicken BBQ pizza. It's a personal sized pizza. I can finish it and I'm full. The pizza is very flavourful mostly because I ask or extra cheese. It is thin crust and just the right crispiness. I have also tried the dessert pizza with chocolate, marshmallows and some other things. It was delicious too. I think the fact that you can decide on what toppings you want and say how much you want really makes it a good deal!

Pizza is a specialty food shop, most known by their 36-inch pizza. Don't worry, they also have pizza sizes in small, medium and large. However, just for fun or for serious hunger, order their largest size and see how much yourbelly can take! I recommend these flavors of pizza: Classic Ham & Cheese, Italian, Bacon and Super Supreme. Tip: make sure you order in just the nick of time, since laid-out and sogging pizza would not taste as good as new, melting and hot pizza!

But hey, you won't have to trouble yourself in the kitchen to accommodate these, just get your phone ready and start dialing in Big Guys! and that'll surely do the trick. Warning, as their name would suggest, the pies coming out of their ovens are for no mere mortals. These pies are for the incarnations of titans! Or basically, those who have the appetites of titans. Known for pies that can go as big as about 3 feet in diameter (you can already use that pizza as your baby's blanket, fyi), Big Guys! pizzas will definitely be your diet's worst adversary. Worried about the quality? Well don't be, not all big servings lack in flavor, that's the Big Guys! guarantee. Not only that, these pies also come with a price tag that's surprisingly not as big. At 1000 plus pesos for each of their biggest concoctions, better forget about Pizza Hut's promos, this is one thing that will definitely give you your money's worth.
