It feels great to support a local business too. Parking is limited to the marked street parking on the Square but there's usually a spot. I turned around to find multiple rows of calendars that featured women in skimpy bikinis. There was a picture that was eye-level with my 3 year old nephew of one tan, skinny, model with her legs spread apart in the sand. Her unnaturally large breasts were practically bursting out of her tiny bikini top. She had her fingers touching her mouth and everything about it was suggestive and sensual. That was just one picture on a row of equally offensive pictures. There was another picture that was eye level with my 6 year old nephew where the woman was turned around backwards with her sandy butt in a thong taking up most of the shot. I am a counselor in Wisconsin who has studied the effect pornographic and sexually suggestive images have on human cognitive functioning extensively. Exposure so young is extremely unhealthy and it sets in motion patterns of thinking that are destructive. We are setting our children up for failure and pain if we allow such frivolous sexual expression in public environments where children cannot escape it (e.g a toy store). My extended family frequents this mall and we will not be making anymore purchases at this shop until changes are made.
