Met Tom Quinn this morning and it was so refreshing to see how passionate he is about customer service. I came in to ask about a maintenance request on my Tissot wristwatch and after looking at it Mr. Quinn said it was not needed at this point and come back to see him in a few years. The staff follows you around like you are a thief. If you look at anything they start becoming very pushy. There was an older woman who was extremely pushy, Melissa, I think? I recently visited the shop for the first time. The staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly....not at all pushy, which I truly appreciate. You can tell Tom really enjoys what he does, because he is eager to show you some of his more interesting or eclectic pieces. I loved looking at the beautifully crafted clocks, and there are many! (Big and small) What I loved more was that it has much more than that. There are displays of jewelry, scarves, keepsakes, ornaments, collectibles, etc. They are all items you won't see elsewhere. I am very happy with my clock purchase, and I am thrilled I have found a new local place to shop for gifts. I know I could easily find a gift for anyone there. Over priced. WAY over priced. Service calls are double what others charge. They follow you all around the store hanging on you until you either leave or buy something to get them off your back. Money hungry. You can get better in other stores for less and other clock repair people charge a lot less. Besides, you pay a lot less for smaller clocks on the internet than what they have in the store. read more

The owner and staff are very nice. The store is beautiful. So many beautiful clocks and gifts. They had a few estate antique clocks and pocket watches for sale. Excellent fix on a wrist watch brought in. He had it fixed in minutes and only charged a few dollars to fix while we waited. I highly recommend this store. The prices do vary due to some items being estate antiques. The price range is from moderate to high end only because he does sell Grandfather clocks too. read more

Awful return policy, better off on line. Even if you do return it is if you committed a crime. Also don't lean on the glass, they will complain you are smearing it. It does have different items then the rest of the valley. If you need a unique gift quickly, it is a good place to go. I do believe they try and unlike the other reviewer, I do find them nice, helpful, and pleasant. They pushed an Obama statue at the front door then placed it in the military cabinet right next to the Marines. With many military and police (and their families) in hardship by Obama, was insulted by it. He is no friend to the valley also, having halted the NYC train project even though the money is in designated. Every president from Reagan to Bush released it. You have to pick between pushing politics or business. read more

Did business with them years ago.Put a $1200.00 clock on hold and put $400.00 down. Decided we did not want the clock. Although we did purchase a $ 700 dollar clock at the same time. I took my over 40 year old cuckoo clock to see if could be repaired. It had been in the attic for over 25 yrs (not a good place for a cuckoo clock). Tom wasn't sure at first, but he kept at it, it was so old, he couldn't find parts for it. It took a while & he did it. My cuckoo clock is fixed & it's hanging up & running great. I am sorry to have to give this establishment a less than favorable review, as I have shopped there a while. But I feel I do have some valid complaints, several of which I have taken up with the store management without positive resolution. I purchased a certain (will not give name brand) cuckoo clock from this establishment in the $400 range - well high enough to expect a quality, reliable clock.That was about 2 years ago. Since then, it has been returned to them 3x with random defects, none of which were repaired on the first attempt. I also purchased a certain (again, I won't give the name brand) mantle clock - around $200. Again, sufficient, especially given the brand, to expect a quality clock. That too has not run correctly since purchased. Unfortunately, however, I gave that one as a gift, so I have the pleasure of hearing the jabs of the family who received the gift every time I meet with them, as I have now become known as "The guy who gave us that clock that doesn't work". They mean it in good humor, but it's hardly what I paid over $200 for. Lastly, and perhaps most wrongly, I was once in the store (again, for one of the three ineffective repairs of my cuckoo clock) when the salesperson referenced a watch they had taken in on estate. They described it and I expressed that I MAY be interested in it once it was ready for sale. After that visit, I hung the clock up on my wall and, once again, watched it not work. So I decided not to shop there again for a clock or for that watch. They called me several times in the weeks following and expressed that the watch was ready for sale. I decided to ignore their calls. Perhaps not right on my part, but justifiable, as I now had my other clock "repaired" for the third time only to have it STILL not work. Oddly, shortly thereafter, a co-worker of mine stopped in the store, at which time the store manager told my EMPLOYEE that I was ignoring their call and not stopping in to buy the watch I had told them I was buying. This is not only factually incorrect, but is incredibly rude. I would never expect an reputable store employee, manager or owner (and I do believe it was the owner, in this case) to tell anyone about another customer's business - especially an EMPLOYEE of the customer. He hardly needed to know that I was in the market for a new watch of the price this one was being sold for - and certainly didn't need to be told that I was "ignoring" a call or "re-negging" on a sale I never committed to. All in all, I would not recommend this store for the reasons noted above. I will remove this review when/if these problems are rectified by management. So if you're reading this - they still haven't made things right by me. read more
