I still get reminder calls and emails from this clinic for cleanings, which I truly appreciate. The doctor was very understanding and offered me a refund, which I accepted. Even though I completed my treatment abroad, this experience encouraged me to go back home for dental work, enjoy good food, and spend more time with my family. I'm updating my review from 1 star to 5 stars to reflect how everything was handled with professionalism and care.

Dr. Lo is one of those people. A natural educator in a dental scrubs, Dr. Lo took the time to explain common misconceptions about dental hygiene with kindness and zeal. Like I said, I've never felt more excited about flossing and brushing. I took advantage of a new patient promotion for the office and am so glad that I did. The staff are welcoming and take the time to answer questions. I was not upsold on any service. From what I could tell, this dental office is more interested in giving patients what they actually need and does not try to sell products or procedures that are not necessary. It sounds like they offer a membership for self-pay patients as well that would offest the cost for those who are underinsured as well. Happy with the discovery of this dentist. Well worth the drive from Denton.

I occasionally get frustrated with how booked up they are, however I also have to tell myself, others come here for the same reasons I do, they do great work so they should be busy. Everyone is friendly and professional. I've moved to different places around DFW and I've never had to look for another dentist. If anyone reads this, I hope you have the same experience I've had over the years. And I hope you have a very open schedule, see below. Quick edit: I had a cap fall off a tooth as I was writing my review and I called to schedule an appointment to have it put back on, that went smoothly enough as did my request for a cleaning. However there were other things I needed to address, and it was a painful reminder why I always dread calling them to set up an appointment for anything these days. I'm in sales and I lose money, when I'm sitting in a Dr's waiting room, or in the chair at the dentists at odd times of the day. Regretfully, after I have the cap put back on and the cleaning done, I will be searching for a new dentist that has a little more flexibility. Nothing against this practice, they've just become too busy for meeting my scheduling needs. And if I recall, they're closed on Fridays which makes no sense to me at all, especially after they just moved into a larger office space and added more staff.

My twice annual teeth cleanings are a breeze, even with my subpar oral hygiene. They use a jet of water to clean your teeth which is pretty fun, actually. WHEN my WISDOM TOOTH got out of the WISDOM BUSINESS and into the PAIN business!…read more One day I had a probem, literally a "pain in the neck." The next day my neck pain had moved to my jaw. "OK" "STRANGE" then my jaw pain moved to right under my wisdom tooth. OUCH!!! I decided, If the pain didn't go away by end of my work day, I was going to reach out to my dentist. The PAIN did NOT even wait until end of work day, but instead by lunch time the pain was excruciating. Uh Oh...My dentist is out of state so I decided I better get an in-state dental appointment AND QUICK! So I sent an SOS, can U HELP Me, communication to the Dental Office of Dr. Robert (Dad) and Dr. Aryn (Daughter) Jackson. They took my concern seriously and got me in with an appointment that fit my schedule ASAP. Being able to get a quick appointment allowed me to breathe a sigh of relief. EXHALE.... At my office visit I was not rushed or made to feel sQuEEZed in. I received excellent care, and assistance with my wisdom tooth issue. Dr. Jackson is knowledgeable and so entertaining. If he wasn't a dentist, he could be a stand-up comedian! Laughs helped me and helped calm me, when I was concerned about my mouth. I am a DFW pharmacist of OVER 30 years. I know EXCEPTIONAL healthcare and EXCEPTIONAL bedside manner. Dentist Robert Jackson, Susan Jackson (Office Manager), and Team get my HIGHEST RATING and BIGGEST THANK YOU! You don't want to get it done ok. But if you delay it's on you and not him. He is very personable and down to earth. I've been going to him for almost 6 years now. His office staff the receptionist and the dental hygienist are amazing and so sweet My hubby, son and brother all go to him as wel as a few colleagues of mine. Highly recommend

Seriously, I had the urge to get up and leave, which is a first, but I didn't want to be rude so I stayed. He is nice and friendly, but he was not listening to me!!! I was trying to tell him my basic teeth concerns/issues/dental history but then he started correcting me. Lol ok. Kept cutting me off, talking AT me, asking questions but not waiting for my answer. I found him to be incredibly abrasive and I wish we could have slowed down and established basics before getting to all the chit chat and joke cracking. The purpose of my visit, my most pressing issue, was to address a few minor chips on my front teeth. I expected he'd examine the chips and my bite/alignment, then set me up for a "composite bonding" which is a common procedure. (I would have had this simple and straightforward treatment done by my previous dentist but unfortunately I moved and am new to the DFW area and looking for care!) Dr Loftus let me know the reason for the chipping is the way my teeth grind, or line up when I'm unconscious of it. Totally makes sense, that sounds right. But let's get to the solution, please can we talk about fixing the chips now? No. He said I'll need braces because otherwise "it will keep happening" even after filling in the chips. Is it possible I might chip my teeth in these same spots again in the future, due to the underlying cause of the chips in the first place? Sure. That's possible, but a reasonable dentist would just fix the chips as requested instead of referring me for orthodontial work! I pumped the breaks and said that's way too drastic, I'm not getting braces, I've already had them as a teenager, and I'll cross that bridge IF and when I get there. (No to be honest I am never getting braces again haha I have nice straight teeth. A night guard is one thing but getting braces due to a chipped front tooth? Whaaaaat?!) Loftus backed off the braces idea and we got back on the same page and I made it clear I wanted to just do the composite filling. He agreed to it! Next thing you know I'm getting walked up to the receptionist and she scheduled my appt 6 months out for a cleaning. Wait. What? Aren't we going to schedule the composite bonding? Which is why I came? I was confused, so a couple days later I reached out to their office via email "please let me know when you can fit me in for the follow up, I was scheduled for a cleaning but not for the composite bonding and I'd like to do that at Dr Loftus' soonest availablity" NEVER HEARD BACK. Wowwww I definitely fell through the cracks as far as follow up care goes. Just frustrating. I went in for a specific need and he failed to address it. I'll have to take my business elsewhere and get the composite bonding done by another dentist who is more attentive and wants the business. That's fine. Finally... and this is important... You'll be startled by the rude attitude from the receptionist. Both over the phone and when I met her in real life, her negativity was palpable. Her deep insecurity is masked by a cold, condescending, rigid exterior. (I'm referring to the young lady with dark blonde hair. She runs the front desk at the time of this review at least) Work on your soft skills! You will turn people away when you use such a condescending tone.
