They made suggestions, including continuing the driveway under our fence so we'd have a smooth transition from the backyard to the front, and trenching to send gutter water to the street before they'd lay the concrete. They communicated effectively and we settled on a plan. They started work the next day by leveling all the land. They then laid the rebar and got the barriers up to hold the concrete in place, and poured the following day. A week later, we were driving on the new driveway. The patio took an extra day due to rain, but turned out great. As for the price, they beat all other quotes we got for the job. Overall, I'd highly recommend any concrete job. After finishing our job, they replaced a retaining wall in our neighborhood that looks incredible.

They even accommodated my craziness with all my COVID requests & concerns (masking, distancing, etc.). They showed up on time and cleanly and efficiently completed the job. Look around, you may find a cheaper price but it will be just that: cheap. Bob and his crew do it right. And even though the job was small, I felt that they treated it as just as important as larger jobs. I hope to hire them again soon for a much larger project.

Like others stated, Justin and his partner Brandon are really nice guys - Justin handles the business side and Brandon was essentially the project manager. There were a few design changes during this process. The most prominent change being the material we had to use to obtain the necessary permit from City of Poway. We downgraded from a premium modern block to a split-face CMU block and ultimately cost us an additional $14K. I realized later I had similar quotes for the CMU block retaining wall for $13K less than I was charged for this aspect of the project. In regards to the lack of attention to detail, I had two issues. (1) When we pivoted to the split face CMU block, Brandon told me to send him the color I wanted. I sent him the specific details to a light gray CMU block that matched the more modern aesthetic of our backyard. What was ultimately ordered and installed was a natural gray (tan). (2) It's expected the split face CMU has inconsistencies, however the crew that installed it used a block that had a giant divot and placed another that had a giant bulge, even though there was a decent amount of material leftover. I chose Pacific Concrete because they were referred by my pool company, but looking back I would have approached this much differently. I wouldn't discourage OR recommend anyone work with them. I just recommend to do your homework.

I hired Brothers Landscaping to install wood trim on the bottom of my deck, as well as install…read moreriver rocks. The company did an absolutely horrendous job. The wood trim was cut into a ton of pieces and honestly looked like a child did the work. The river rocks didn't even match my existing ones and they didn't even bother finishing up filling the ditch they were working in. The trim was supposed to be painted, and nobody even bothered painting it, although I paid for paint in the materials list. When sending photos of the finished work, everything seemed ok. These things were all noticed on further inspection & even the company agreed the job was terrible. Look closely at the photos. The deck was built by another company. I only hired them to put a piece of wood at the bottom of the deck, painted, and as a piece of trim. They promised that they would come back to fix things and I never heard back from them. The owner Abner never even bothered calling me and apologizing or showing up to fulfill his promise to make things right. This is one of many companies in San Diego that subcontract out jobs and are NOT licensed. They are NOT a professional company. They are a group of guys who get jobs and subcontract out their work. They have no sense of integrity in the way they communicate or do business. If you need anything done that's very small like gardening or mowing grass, I think they could possibly handle it. If it's any sort of major landscaping project, I can with 100% experience say you should NOT go with this company. If anyone has any questions of the horrendous job I was left with, please contact me and I will help in any way I can. I'm also going to attach detailed photos of the wood trim they were supposed to install and pictures of the job they did. Trust me, avoid this company like the plague.
