You do have to sigh a waiver "Just in case they cut off an ear", as the receptionist puts it (she's kidding, I hope!) They also do other services, such as manicures, brow plucking, and colour. The amount of time it takes can vary a lot, so I suggest parking under Midtown Plaza and walking the two blocks if you drive there, as your appointment may easily overrun the 90 minutes allowed for street parking. There are a lot of bike rings to lock up to outside if you arrive on a bicycle. This isn't a place you can get in and out of in a hurry, but if you're short of cash it's a great alternative to the quickie cheap haircut franchises.

We had a great four hours for this class and got to eat a delicious meal at the end of it. Bring a few storage containers as you will be taking a lot home with you. All you needed to bring was a chopping knife, a cutting board, and a fun attitude. This is a great gift idea for anyone, even a proficient home cook. Good for a group up to nine people. The school space itself is beautiful, inspiring and invokes a home learning familiarity that encourages children to feel more relaxed and focused on inquisitive learning than social dynamics. My only wish is that there was another Brilliant Star Montessori of this caliber on the west coast. Congrats to Julie and all the staff at this school for creating such an inspiring school dynamic!!!
