Love the concept of this place! Some might find it a bit tacky, but it as feels as close to Thailand as you can, whilst in a country known for Fjords, Snow and Ice :) If you go in with a fun attitude and don't expect it to be a fine dining experience, then you have the right expectation.
Have been to this place a number of times and will definitely be back, the decor is attempting to recreate a tropical feeling, even down to when the lights switch off and they play the sound of rain pattering on a roof like a sudden tropical downpour that can happen quite regularly in the wet season in Thailand.
All in all, the menu is quite a standard Thai menu with all the usual dishes, they have hot ratings on the dishes for the people who are spice sensitive and they have local as well as thai/asian imported beers as well. But the dishes are not as spicy as they say they are. Prices are on the expensive side than what I would expect for this kind of food.
I do have to say though that both times I've been there, the service could get more attentive. I don't need to be asked regularly if I'm ok, but when waiters walk past in Norway, I wish they would look at the tables more to see if people are trying to get their attention, they seem to just walk back and from the kitchen, without looking around. read more
