In some places I know crocheters aren't always treated right in indie yarn stores, but it wasn't an issue here at all. In fact the big project kit featured in the window (a mood blanket, which I got!) had both knit and crochet patterns. There's also a crochet class offered, but as I'm just here for the week I won't be able to speak to that. I do know that it's right around the corner from a Little Anita's, so if you want to make a day of grabbing lunch and yarn it's easy.

Unfortunately, the checkout experience completely ruined this visit. There were only self-checkout registers open and just one employee assisting customers. When one of the registers double-scanned an item, I needed help to fix it. It took nearly 20 minutes to get assistance because the single employee was overwhelmed helping multiple people. I understand staffing challenges happen, but waiting that long just to fix a scanning error is frustrating and unacceptable. If the store is going to rely primarily on self-checkout, there needs to be adequate staff available to assist customers quickly when issues come up.
