Catering menu. Loved it !! Great price. Too much food. Way more food than for the 20-25 people I paid for. Amazing!

Much love to Devin and his team. We had a last minute catering request for 20-25 people for a funeral. He came through and the food was AMAZING at a fantastic and reasonable price. Easy to work with and wonderful service ! Will bring back any future catering business to them each chance I get ! Jerk, goat , rice and peas , plantain , coleslaw , fried dumpling , roti shells. All delicious and fresh !

Yardies is close enough to home for me to walk to and very convenient for me to stop by and pick up some delicious Jamaican food. You can probably tell by the number of pictures I've posted, I go there very often! Their food is always delicious, with generous portions. I think I've tried everything on their menu since my initial review and I've never been disappointed. Their jerk is on point, along with the curry goat, oxtail, and stew peas. Their soups, different every day, are delicious. Everything is good! I've been there twice this week, having the Fried Chicken, Beef Pumpkin Soup, and Stew Chicken. I think I've worked my way through their entire menu! It was all very tasty! In addition to their regular menu, they often offer some unique dishes for lunch on Fridays. It's all good! Yardies is definitely my favourite restaurant for authentic Jamaican food!

Plaintain wasn't greasy and jerk was well seasoned! Really love the oxtail. Jerk pork was okay - could have been softer but the taste was good! Really loved the coleslaw. Would recommend trying a bit of everything here! It's all so flavourful!

If you're craving authentic Jamaican food, Yardies is the place to go. I ordered a large jerk chicken, chicken curry and festivals. The jerk chicken tastes like the ones you get in Jamaica on the BBQ. The portion size was good. The curry chicken had great flavor. The festivals were fresh, tasty, and huge

Nice and friendly staff. Clean establishment. Decent tasting food. Oxtail could be more tender with a bit more seasoning. The soup base was nice. However I would appreciate actual meat pieces in the soup and not all cut up dumpling taking up the whole container. Stew peas were good. The curry goat roti had a but too much salt for me, but the flavour and spice was there. Jerk pork would be the go-to meal.

Stopped in while in the area for a quick bite. Was greeted by friendly staff and ordered up a small oxtail with rice and peas. My order was served up promptly. The oxtail stew was quite good with a generous portion size but could have been a little more spicy for my taste. The rice and peas were also quite good. All and all quite a nice meal.

This time, I came with a group of friends, allowing us to order several dishes. Here's what we had: · Dungeness Crabs in Spicy Garlic · Lobster with Ginger and Green Onion · Alex Chicken with Veg Fried Rice · Special Chicken Fried Rice · Cantonese Chow Mein · Sweet and Sour Basa · Goat Curry with Roti · Beef Short Ribs · Pepper Shrimp · BBQ Duck · Mixed Vegetables · Hot and Sour Soup · Seafood Soup As often as I come here, this was my first time having some of these dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, with the seafood dishes being the top favourites of our group. Their platters of two lobsters or two crabs for only $34.95 are a great deal, especially the crabs. Don't miss their Beef Short Ribs, Goat Curry, Goat Curry, and everything else on the list above. It was all excellent! You have to try it for yourself. Their menu is also Halal! To quench your thirst, they offer a range of soft drinks, including Caribbean favourites, as well as adult beverages - wine, spirits, beer, etc. Their buckets of (5) beer are a popular choice among diners, with several brands available. Check them out at 985 Brock Road in Pickering!

One of my friends had been here before and recommended that we give Guyanese Chinese cuisine a try. I was game! I had no problem finding the eatery. It's in a small plaza with Grillies next door. I actually parked in front of Grillies and walked over to Caribbean Heat. The eatery was busy for a Sunday afternoon. It was a good sign. My friends and I ordered a ton of food, to the point where we had to get boxes to take home the damage that we had done... haha! We ordered these items: - Beef short ribs - Special chicken fried rice - Alex chicken with veggie fried rice - Goat curry with roti - Crabs in spicy garlic sauce - Cantonese chow mein - BBQ duck (half) - Pepper shrimp - Mixed vegetables - Hot and sour soup - Seafood soup - Sweet and sour basa - Lobster with ginger and green onion This eatery has a number of specials. We took advantage of most, except for the wings. The specials: - Pepper Shrimp - $8.99 for 15 pieces - Half-priced chicken Wings - Bucket of five beers for $29.99 - Two lobster or crabs for $34.95 - Alex chicken with veggie fried rice (lunch special) - $12.95 before tax Alex chicken is the chef's special. I don't know who Alex is. However, the dish consists of boneless chicken that's stir-fried with lots of onions and spices. It does have a bit of heat to make it a wonderful dish. The veggie fried rice that accompanied the chicken was delicious, too. I loved everything that we ate and will note some highlights: - The sweet and sour basa was excellent. The fish was flaky and boneless, and the flavours were perfect. - The lobster with ginger and green onion was fantastic. One friend was allergic to shellfish, but risked it because this dish was so good. I'm guessing that he has a mild allergy because he's fine. - The goat curry was excellent. Not gamey. Tender. It came with roti on the side that I enjoyed sopping up the sauce with it. - The BBQ duck was yummy. I haven't had duck in a long time. It was tender and I loved the skin. - The pepper shrimp were gigantic! I loved how tasty this dish was. It had lots of green bell peppers and onions that I enjoyed with the shell-on shrimp. I used the washroom a couple of times during our three-hour stay. It was clean. No complaints! We had a terrific time chatting, enjoying one another's company, and feasting on a bunch of scrumptious dishes. The menu had fried banga Mary as an appetizer. I'd like to try this dish that shares my first name. I'll be back for more when I'm in the area. (172)

Stewed oxtail, rice and peas? Done and done. I'm not a "pick-it-off-the-bone" kinda guy, but I'm sure if you gave the container a good shake, deliciousness and bone would part ways. (Kidding, don't really do this). Its fork tender and delicious in ways you wouldn't think possible. Go. Do it, pick around the bones, a flavour-bomb is your reward. Jerk BBQ chicken is jerk chicken's milder sibling, cooked right and spiced for a more delicate eater. First bite, really good BBQ flavour, then the heat shows up, fashionably late and knowing it's place as a back-up singer. Don't be afraid, it's what I refer to as "White Boy Spicy", just enough to get your attention, but not over the top. Fried plantains are a must-have side, and to seal the deal, grab two Tings from the fridge, after you sanitize your hands, please and thank you. Angie's is operating as takeaway only, and only a few days a week. Call ahead to shorten your wait, I arrived Friday evening and there were 5 cars waiting for their orders, all were served in minutes. These ladies deliver the real thing, show them some love, leave a nice tip, and tell your friends you were in Jamaica for dinner.
