Literally my favorite spot in Eindhoven! I dare say it's even better than any ramen or hotpot place I've been to in the Netherlands. The ingredients are super fresh, and the best part is that you pick exactly what goes into your dish.
First, grab a giant bowl and a pair of tongs. Then, literally put whatever you want into your bowl. There's a huge selection to choose from. The first time I went, I grabbed one of everything just to try them all out.
Once you're done, hand them your bowl at the counter to get weighed. You pay €3,49/100g. It's super affordable.
You'll need to pick a soup base. If you can handle spicy (even the mild spicy is SUPER spicy!), go for the beef bone broth. It is so so so savory! If you can't handle spicy (or just want to play it safe), then go for the tomato broth. I pretty much always get the tomato broth. I can handle Korean spicy just fine, but Sichuan spicy is just crazy.
My favorite part? Making the dipping sauce (and it's even free of charge!). Here's my personal recipe:
- 3 spoons soy sauce
- 1 spoon hoisin sauce
- 1 spoon sesame paste
- 1 spoon minced garlic
- 1/2 spoon sesame oil
- 2 spoons green onions
If you're not sure what dipping sauce to make, then give mine a try. I absolutely love this combination.
This place is usually always packed, but they have a ton of seating downstairs as well. Definitely give this place a try! read more
