Yanez has been my go-to place for alterations for the past 5 years. Their prices are good and their turnaround time is fast, but the main reason I keep coming back is because they always succeed when I have challenging requests. 2 experiences worth mentioning: One time I brought in a formal dress that was so tight I couldn't sit down/walk while wearing it, and another time I brought in a dress that was 6 sizes too big for me. Very frustrating experience. I had used them before to get a couple inches off a dress and it was very quick and $35 I went again a few months later and they said it would be $55 to get the same amount taken off a dress and then when I picked it up they argued with me and $60. Not friendly at all, yelled at me and said they never told me it was $55 the week before (which they did ) would not recommend at all. read more

This business destroyed my daughter's formal gown. I paid $180 for alterations because it was a very expensive dress, and I wanted it done right. When I returned with the problem, the owner (an older, Hispanic male) was loud and rude. I had before and after photos and videos of the dress that he refused to examine. Because of the owner's shouting and disrespectful attitude, I started recording half way through my return visit. I wish I would have recorded more of the yelling, but the situation caught me off guard. Thankfully I recorded him shouting to his wife about "refunding my money," but once he realized I paid $180, he changed his mind and waved "bye bye" with his hand in a condescending way motioning for me to leave his store. I would NEVER recommend this business. In fact, I would urge people to go anywhere else. The quality of work was basic at best, and I did not feel safe when dealing with the abusive owner!!! Please examine before and after photos showing how the dress laid flat before & then bunched/twisted to the side after the "alterations." read more

I took a bridesmaid dress here to get a few inches off the bottom. The back of the dress ended up being shorter in the back and the front part of my dress was still too long, I was literally tripping over it. $63 to take off a few inches and it was still too long. I will say the stitching looked great, but measurements must have gotten messed up. I won't be returning and I do not recommend. read more

I was in a rush and my usual tailor could not promise that my garments would be ready in the time frame that I required them. So, I saw this place on yelp and took a gamble. The good was that my jacket and shirt wereavailable on the promised date. That is about it. I paid $53 for a shirt and jacket to be tailored, which would have been acceptable if the fit of the jacket was to my standards. The shirt was okay. The jacket on the other hand, I would probably be better off scraping some road kill off of the side of I-49, skinning it, and wearing that instead. I will now have to take this jacket to my tailor in Bentonville so that she can correct it, and I hope that she can. read more

I have been very pleased with all the work I have had done here. They have done simple hems for me, but also taken in and shortened a long formal gown and altered stretchy knits, which can be tricky. They are priced as reasonably as anyone I have seen, have very good turnaround time, and have always been very pleasant and professional to work with. Downtown Springdale is not convenient to me, but I make an exception to my normal routine and take all my alterations here. Highly recommend! read more

I brought this dress and another (not pictured) in to be sized down. My husband had brought in pants to be hemmed a couple years again and was satisfied, so I gave them a go. I had brought in a dress I wore to my wedding reception to wear for my upcoming anniversary trip . I had to bring them in TWICE. Once picking up this dress (pictured) the first time there were HUGE armpit gaps and the breast darts were in the arm pit. The other dress also had the same issue minus the darts. A 4" gap on both sides under my arms. I tried both on for the female to mark for adjustment (with safety pins). I was in a hurry to pick up and just paid ($40 for both) and left without trying on. When paying that first visit I interacted with an older male. After trying on at home, I was extremely disappointed. I brought them back to to be corrected because it appeared barely any stitching was even done. The same female marked the corrections. I even requested to have the darts removed since they were being taken in so much. Upon pick up this is what I received with the pictured dress. The male was going to charge me ANOTHER $40 for these corrections!! I was polite in saying that I had already paid previously without the service requested, so I shouldn't have to pay again. He felt defensive, and said that they mark how I requested even him (which it's not my place to know how they need to mark the garment for them to know what is requested). They are the tailors. He agreed with attitude that I didn't have to pay the additional $40 since I was pretty much refusing at this point. I will find somewhere else in the future AND to fix my reception dress. The female I interacted with was nice, but the older male could use some finesse when it comes to customer service. I have a sewing machine and probably couldn't done a better job with my lack of experience.... read more

Very nice people! They did a great job altering my dress. The only downfall is the traffic in front of their business.

I needed last minute alterations on tuxedo pants for prom and they were able to accommodate me. The legs needed to be tapered all the way down and they did an excellent job in 3 days for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back with future alteration needs! read more

They do an excellent job! Their prices are reasonable. They are fast! Location is good, parking is kinda difficult due to ongoing construction at the moment. But well worth it! I trust them with my nicer clothes, it has been difficult to find someone able to alter my skirts than gave a lining in it. I have been to many other places that have ruined my clothes.
