I provided my name, contact numbers, etc. and advised the owner of the date by which my daughter had to have the dress. Owner told me they would call me by Thursday so my daughter could come try on dress. No call. I also could not get an answer on their phone or leave a message. Their phone did not accept messages so I personally went down to their shop only to find a sign on the door saying the shop was closed that day. (It's normally open on Fridays or so their sign says.) Worse yet, their sign said it would NOT BE OPEN UNTIL THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY----days AFTER the gown was required. No emergency contact number was provided even though they KNEW the deadline on this gown. I finally called the city's business licensing department and managed to obtain from them the store owner's emergency number. Turned out, as the ticket on the dress noted: "We lost his (sic) contact number." The owner did not express any apologies for their disastrous mistake. The "quality" of the alterations was HORRIFIC. The hem was uneven, beads were missing from the top portion of the dress (they were intact when taken in!) and she GOUGED me on the price. She charged me 2.5 times the quoted price of "$60.00 and maybe as high as $100." Bill for a shoddily altered $600 dress was $158.00. Do NOT even think about using them.

I could tell right away that I'd found the right place. And they are partnered with high end stores in town (Henry Ellis) which says a lot. I hope they partner with Barbara Jean in the future because their current tailor doesn't know what they're doing. They worked on shortening a skirt and raising the slit and it's perfect. They also tailored a white satin blazer perfectly on the sleeves, shoulders, and took it in at the back. Pants were still a little long but they are fixing them without any problem. I gave them a jacket to correct a bad tailoring job and I am confident that it will look outstanding. And a dress hem to raise as well. Their decor is so fun and inviting, and they get the work done in a great amount of time (I've only had to wait a week and at no extra charge. Most places around here take a month unless you pay a little extra). They also have starbursts and chocolate as an extra little treat. I've tried a couple tailors since I moved here (used to go to Lethal-Lure and stopped when they ruined a skirt and a men's shirt). This is the only place you need. It's worth the drive and they do a phenomenal job. I won't use anyone else in NWA.

I had a very unpleasant experience with customer service after I was incorrectly charged. So much…read moreso, I will not return to this business. The poor customer service happened in the store and when the manager later called me on the phone. Both men were acusotory and rude, talking over me and blaming their new system, blaming me, the person who put the order in, and each other. Never taking accountability for the mistake. They incorrectly charged me for items I had previously picked up and paid for. I had the receipts to show payment, and, most obvious, the physical clothes they charged me for were not in the order placed in my vehicle. Finally the employee saw the mistake and gave me a handwritten note and receipt explaining the incorrect charge, but later when the manager called, he said his employees were wrong and so was I. I gave up and said, thank you, I will not return. I am out an hour of going back and forth with them and $15?- so dumb! All of this could and should have been handled so differently and easily by saying we are sorry for our mistake, we have refunded the incorrect charge. Instead, they've lost a customer and my recommendation. Training and Customer Service revamp greatly needed.
