It comes with a bowl of miso soup and a simple salad (iceberg and ginger dressing - you know the salad I mean). I thought my meal was simple and classic but fresh and well-prepared. It might not have been the most exciting sushi meal of my life, but the food was good, and the service was exceptional (they were so friendly and attentive). Yama Lunch Box: This is an amazing lunch special for only $10.50! It gets you two rolls, dumplings, soup, and salad. My dad got a California Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll with his box. We typically order the dinosaur egg (chopped up shrimp tempura with fish egg and sauce wrapped in avocado) as an appetizer and a side salad before ordering a number of rolls. I enjoy the crunchiness of the tempura with the creaminess of the avocado. We recently ordered the yellowtail with jalapenos and that may be a new favorite starter for us! Oftentimes the staff will give us a small cucumber salad to whet our appetites. We really enjoy the variety of rolls they offer. Our favorites include the Gold Fish Roll and the Pink Dragon Roll though you can't go wrong with the others! Fish is good quality and generously portioned.
