The teachers at SoR Burbank are INCREDIBLE. My kids are extreme introverts but have really come…read moreinto their own in the last year and we attribute that to the care and instruction of the teachers at SoR. Sam is the music director and runs the performance program. Sam is very special and has a way with kids that is unmatched. Pearl ran the first camp they attended and got them hooked on music. My kids adore her. Christian is a skilled instructor, very patient and knows when to mix it up if the kids get distracted. They are all SO fantastic. Patient, kind, funny and talented. I hope they are getting paid well because they work insanely hard and put so much heart into every lesson, every event, every performance. Navigating extracurricular activities can be tough for parents but I feel so much better knowing they are in such good hands. I hope they always keep the instructors they have because they are all next level. SoR has been a game changer for us and I've seen it with other kids as well.

My son has been going to School Of Rock Burbank since December 2025. The pace of learning has been…read moreslow and for months and months has been playing sort of the same three songs over and over again. I just called to let them know that he would be playing in his school band and we wouldn't need to go forward, but they had charged me for the following month. They told me that even though he would not be attending and no one would be teaching him or earning a wage they were going to charge me anyway and told me there was nothing they could do to help me. That is just stealing money. And a bad business model overall. Again equality of learning for the $5000 I paid for him to go there was lackluster at best. And now they want to take money for a month of instruction that they haven't even given. I would highly suggest looking for another more qualified music school.

So we were directed to an instructor who was very well versed in working with such kids and that is Ms Hayley M. Ms Hayley was able to get my kids attention and was able to teach him on how to play the keys on the piano, specifically in an environment where he was so easily distracted. She is very friendly and was able to get my kid to learn some of the keys. In fact I went ahead and enrolled myself for few weeks so I could help my kids practice at home. I would definitely recommend this center and Ms Hayley too.

Beware people, these "sweet people" are crooks. I was told…read morewhen signing my daughter up for guitar lessons that I could cancel at any time. My daughter went for 2 months and decided she didn't like it so I contacted Music junction in email on April 30th letting them know that we were canceling. The respond back was you will have 30 more days of lessons since that's the cancellation policy. At this point they have my card on recurring payments and so they went ahead and charged my card. I disputed the charges and contacted them letting them know to stop. They did not because up until a week ago I was still getting texts asking if my daughter will be participation in the recital coming up. Are you kidding me? Do you people not get the point?? Do I need to hire an attorney to be done with you??

I went to their Grand Opening back in April, and was sold on the spot after attending one of their free trial lesson. I signed up for the month, and have been constantly taking lessons there ever since then. All the teachers were really nice, welcoming, and not to mention truly passionate about teaching young students. They are also really flexible about rescheduling, which is something I appreciate. Being a full time student with also a part time on the side means that life can get incredibly hectic sometimes and I'm glad that they were really willing to work around my schedule. In the past months, I was assigned Mr. Valery Goldes as my teacher and I ve been very pleased with the progress I made so far under his tutelage. Valery is an excellent teacher with very impressive musical background ( I'll be honest and admit that graduating from Juilliard is pretty impressive). He is not only skillful but also very attentive and always finds a way to make every lesson fun and enjoyable. He is also willing to take suggestion and always tried to make sure I'm satisfied with my lesson. Overall, I'm really happy with the Hollywood Piano School so far and I would highly recommend them to anybody out there, regardless of skill levels you are at, who would want to learn more about piano or to improve their craft. Give them a chance and you will not be disappointed (^-^)!! Stephanie P.
