This restaurant is good. Great location in the woods. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air. Our group was four hungry hikers (we just did 10 mile hike nearby) .... ... The food. Great. I had the burger which was near perfection on a chobani bun. The nice touch was seafood soup for the side, which is healthier than french fries. My friends had fried chicken salad, tacos, talapia; and all enjoyed their meals. One woman is a chef and she really liked her food and only complaint was it was slightly salty. Service was so so. Thank goodness the burgers and fries were delish! The service was awful I would slam them for that but the food saved my review. The server practically IGNORED us. We sat by the a/c unit and no fan and we asked to move. The seating was better but still the service was so bad. We gave her grace because she was the only one working tables. But come on.....out glasses of water remained mostly empty, when she did fill them she splashed us. We had to yell at her to bring us the bill. Thank goodness they didn't add the 20% as mentioned on the menu because that was not worth it. The porch was nice, the food was good, but that service I don't think this will be on my list to return. We were a big group of 10. We came in around 5:30pm and immediately we received a very warm welcome and a couple of servers jumped in to make a table work for our big group. The service was really the best. We constantly got drinks refilled and our orders were taken really fast. We appreciated the fast and very attentive service we received. Nothing was too great or too simple for our server. Not even how to pronounce the name of the restaurant. Our food was great. The portions were very filling! The food was super tasty. Super disappointed in our experience here. Warning to all pet owners! My family is together for an early thanksgiving so this weekend is a special one for us. They advertise as being dog friendly and we were out on a hike with our small dogs prior to finding this restaurant. They are less than 10 lbs, happy, friendly, quiet, well behaved dogs who were really tired from the hike and mainly just napped during our meal. They stayed in our laps or under our table the entire time. In one instance, a leash got loose and one puppy wandered for 20 seconds. She didn't bother anyone in that extremely brief moment. Whoops! Sorry! This evidently angered the owner a great deal... We were not informed of any complaints throughout the meal, if any customers were uncomfortable with us having quiet sleepy dogs under our table we were never told or warned. I don't know why we would have complaints for that anyhow as we were placed on the "dog friendly" patio and they were entirely well mannered, keeping to themselves. But if we knew anyone was unhappy with us we could've had one of us sit out in the car with them...no big deal. So, we enjoy our expensive meal and pay our lovely waitress without knowing that behind the scenes, the owner was working up his anger towards us. I'll set the scene. We pay. Generous tip. We box up our food. A few of us head to the restrooms. We are gathering ourselves to leave. Another table is being sat on the patio now with a huge dog who is barking at our dogs. As dogs do. Our dogs bark back...as dogs do. This is the first moment of the entire restaurant experience that a dog barked. The very first! Sure, it was a hectic moment between our dogs and this new dog. But it was brief and we were already leaving. Instead of letting us exit as we were trying to, the owner Nic BOLTED out to the patio and screamed loud enough for patrons inside and upstairs to hear. It was even heard from the parking lot. It was shocking. He kicked us out. He said that's it, you're done, they're done, get out of my restaurant, they want to bark you throw them out of here, simple as that you guys have to go, this is out of control, they can't bark here get them out of my restaurant! Etc... Interesting he waited for us to swipe our credit card before he berated us, and interesting that the new customer with an equally loud dog was invited to stay (because they hadn't made $$$ off them just yet). Also interesting that he specifically waited for the men at the table to walk away so all he had left was a couple of women to yell at. What a classless, shameful "business" owner who lets unwarranted anger unleash on defenseless women in his restaurant. The rest of our family heard him yelling from the parking lot and from the upstairs restrooms, but as soon as the men reentered to have a word, the owner Nic stood down. Interesting he only wanted to yell at the ladies. Needless to say, they don't like dogs unless your dog is a robot! Lol. Owner is scary, do not upset him. I liked my food just fine but we had some complaints on taste at the table. Our waitress was super friendly and we liked her along with the waitstaff. I hope they are able to find a better work environment someday soon. Would've been 3-4 stars if the owner hadn't ruined the experience within the last few moments. Yikes!! read more

DO NOT USE FOR CATERING. I would give zero stars if I could. My fiancé and I decided on using Yahoola Creek as our wedding caterer after being blown away by our tasting at the restaurant. However, on our wedding day, our food did not resemble the tasting at all. The green beans were clearly from frozen and the shrimp and grits were micro sized. This one's just by the road and it looks so beautiful from up there with the mountains surrounding you while you jog on the delicious meal. Although the menu is limited but it has the best options for food. The burger. tacos and pasta was delicious but our heart was set on the green tomato starter. I must say you can't judge a book by its cover! The food was delicious even though I had hesitations bc the chef (assuming based on his license plate) had Trump 2024 and Blue Lives Matter bumper stickers on his truck. Our small dogs (less than 6 pounds) are friendly and barked briefly as the other dog entered. Immediately the owner came out and yelled very aggressively at my elderly father. Very rude and highly uncalled for. My father is very shaken up. We left fearing for our safety. The owner could have kindly asked us to leave instead of yelling aggressively. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, but there is no excuse to treat your customers so aggressively. My father is very shaken up. EDITED FOR OWNER RESPONSE: Not the response we were hoping for. You are clearly still lying about the situation. There was no barking until the other dog entered, and the barking lasted no longer than 10 seconds until you appeared YELLING at us. We spent over $140 dollars on your food and left a generous tip for the waitress because she did a great job. This place was advertised as pet friendly. In reality it is FAR from pet friendly. Went with my family for Mother's Day Brunch. Made reservations and they had a nice little chalkboard with our name on the table. Cute touch. We asked to sit on the screened deck as it was a nice day and the view is pretty. I had shrimp and grits. It came with andouille sausage and asparagus. It was really good. A little spice but not too much. There must have been 8 or more shrimp. The portion was great. My husband had the chicken and waffles. Three large chicken tenders over 3 waffles. The waffles have a tea flavor and he said they were very good. The chicken had a glaze on it that he didn't care for, but others may, large portion that could be shared. My father-in-law had the crispy corn beef hash. He said it was very good. It was crispy so if you don't like crispy you may not like this dish. It came with 2 eggs and a large portion of fresh fruit. We had sweet tea to drink. The cocktails and bar menu looked really good too. Overall the food was excellent. Great job by the kitchen and wait staff on a busy day. I gave 3 stars due to the large number of flies on the deck. I mean more than just eating outside. It's like the screens were keeping them IN not out!!! Maybe they need to seal open cracks and have fans at the door. Not sure but this came close to ruining a really good meal. We will definitely order take out and will try dining here again. Last weekend, we played golf near Dahlonega and stopped in town for dinner afterward. Every place we checked had a 45-minute wait. Luckily, we remembered Yahoola (which we believe is popular with the locals). Fortunately, they had available space, and, once again, the customer service was top notch. This place has so much potential but just falls short. Positives: our waitress was the best! The place was very clean and the view is nice (if we were sitting on the covered porch). Not so positive: The grill area is open to the sitting area so we got to see the chef talk down to, cuss out, and be hateful to most of the staff (not the one that looked like a chef but the one in the baseball cap). We also got to see the waitress get in a bit of an argument yelling across the customers at each other. Strangely negative: the food. 1. I ordered the chicken and waffles. This is the description: Honey Cajun fried chicken with sweet tea battered waffles. When reading this I did not once think general Tsos sticky sauce that's so spicy I went through three waters. Would have been awesome without the sauce and with some regular old syrup. Andouille sausage and spinach was delicious. 2. My son got chicken Alfredo. Once again.. easy to make an Alfredo sauce, why deviate? This came out with chicken on top of pasta with a thin chicken broth type of sauce?? It was pretty good but NOT Alfredo. 3. My daughter got a breakfast dish with eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes (fried). Was good. Potatoes were a bit blackened but overall edible. Went for the first time and ate on the "porch". I consider it part of the main dinning room as it is simply separated by wide open doors. Food an service was good. My issue is two people came in with dogs and ate on the porch. Dogs would bark at times. I do not and will not eat at dining establishments that allows animals in dining area, especially when they bark. This is a moderately priced restaurant. Having a nice meal with beverage and there are barking dogs next to you! It is bad enough having to fly with animals. Would give 4 stars if there were no animals.
