Five Stars! Massive Yacht, Seamless Party, and Top-Tier Service…read moreWe chose this company to host a major event, and they delivered! The yacht itself is a stunner--huge, spotless, and feels brand new. They also provide excellent catering services. My party for a large group went incredibly smoothly. The on-board staff are helpful and friendly, and I especially appreciated that the owner is always present to personally oversee the events. While there was a slight hiccup with initial communication, their customer service quickly rectified it. The biggest surprise was the value; what seemed expensive initially proved to be completely justified by the high-quality vessel and seamless experience. Plus, when I realized I left something behind, the office team was wonderfully nice and secured my item immediately. If you need a premium event venue that doubles as a huge yacht, look no further!

We really didn't have to worry about anything apart from enjoying ourselves and pretending to be JLo on a yacht for the day. Another weekend, another wedding! This was an absolutely beautiful venue and the food was probably…read morethe best food I've ever had at a wedding, and rivals high end restaurants I've visited. If you're looking for a classy place and can somehow get through the membership hurdles, I highly recommend it. Some caveats: -We were a bit confused about the entrance but were eventually let in through the front door facing the street. Unclear if it was locked or just really heavy. -The bathroom is upstairs (and is beautiful) but there's an elevator if you're feeling lazy. -You are not allowed to tag the York Club in your social media pictures because this place is shrouded in mystery. Oops. This announcement may have come too late for me. Cocktail Hour -was supposed to be in the garden but was in several rooms inside due to rain, which was very lovely. Great architecture, art, and high ceilings, and two rooms with bars, with room for the quartet/jazz band? in the middle. -Food selections were incredible! Seared tuna, gnocchi, lobster tempura, and several other bites. -Pro tip 1: Stand by the elevator hallway for first access to food, I'm not sure how well it filtered to the other rooms considering what vultures my friends and I were. -Pro tip 2: It got very humid in the main room but the room to the left was well air conditioned. Dinner -was phenomenal. From the salad with tiger shrimp to the mushroom soup and lamb entrée, everything was delicious. -They kept forgetting to bring out my friend's gluten-free meal, but whenever she reminded them, they quickly brought out a (still delicious) gluten-free version. - The dining room was large, with round tables in the main room and I believe rectangular tables in the side room. -Acoustics were great for speeches and there was even a piano for a special performance by one of the guests! Dancing -Enough space for a band and a DJ and a bunch of guests to go nuts. -It was a bit hard to all crowd around to see the first dance. -Cake and favors were in another room adjacent to the dancing. -They brought out sliders and fries and grilled cheese at the end of the night!!! And they were delicious. Highly recommend this beautiful venue for your wedding/special event/baller party!

Visited the Apollo for our work Christmas lunch/party…read more The building itself was nice enough, looks fairly new inside. I was surprised at the lack of parking for such a big event venue and had to park ridiculously far away. Not the end of the world but not totally ideal. The ballroom we were in was nice enough, spacious and pretty standard. Our buffet lunch was a bit of a let down. I know its hard to cater for that many peeps at once (I think we were about 400 people?) but the food was overly bland and not well seasoned at all. I had to go and ask the bartender for salt and pepper, as it wasn't on the table. Bathrooms were fairly nice/clean however they were completely out of paper towels during our visit.

The venue itself was unique, easy to find on King Street, and had lots of space to move around in - there were two floors that we had access to. Loved the solarium area of the upstairs part of the space, which had lighted trees set up in it and overlooked a gorgeous little parkette with a water fall. They also had amazing pieces of art on the wall and had tables set up with various colour schemes for consideration. We were also treated to many passed appetizers they make in house while viewing the space. All were very good however my fave were the crispy wrapped shrimp, so delicious! The staff representing the venue were very friendly and polite, making sure we were attended to and answering any questions we had. A great venue to look into if you would like to throw a party in a unique space in Toronto with great food/drink options!

Attended a wedding here. It was a nice venue, but definitely had some flaws…read more Venue: It definitely looks beautiful, and to be able to find a venue with a rustic feel right in the city is nice. There's affordable parking around the area. It was awkward to be told that the coat checks are at the back of the venue, because you had to walk down the aisle and basically walk all the way to where the groom is getting ready. The chairs were not the most comfortable, and they were wooden, so they were quite noisy. Also, there is not a lot of seating, so many people are standing in the front area, even thought it was probably a wedding of less than 75 guests. The upper dining areas is nice; the solarium was bright and beautiful. However, the shape of the dining area is a giant ring, which means there isn't really a central place for the wedding couple/family to sit. Staff: Friendly staff, however they need to work on their attentiveness. Half of the table I was seated at was served, coffee/tea and the other half didn't get served. And no one was checking in on us. When we finally got the attention of one of the people, he directed us to ask a server instead (guess he wasn't a server?!). Food: Very good food. Enjoyed the meal very much. Overall, it is more like a 3.5 out of 5.
