This place is very large. It was clean. Offered lots of different candies old and new. Their fudge is made there and boy.....you can tell. It is amazing. You can actually taste the cream, yummy. They offer lots of different flavors I have not seen also. Definitely worth a stop. They also have ice cream and regular food.

This locally owned & operated fun business is really a cool find especially if you ever had penny candies as a kid! I knew right away I was gonna like this place when I found the little wax bottles filled with juices. I forgot what we called them over 50 years ago but these are called Nik.L.Nip mini drinks, and pop rocks for my 40 year old kid LOL. That brought back some serious memories! Well this place is a candy lovers cream with a HUGE assortment of candies from just about every decade going back to WWII and up to the Star Wars variety. There's jelly beans, taffy, candy tacos, cotton candy and a virtual plethora of sweet treats, trust me this is a candypalooza store. Wait there's more! In addition to all the candies there's delicious hand-picked ice cream treats! I had a cup of the peanut butter bourbon that was soooo good and they've got cones, sundaes and all sorts of fun combos. But wait there's more! They've got a nice selection of fudges like tiger butter and chocolate pecan but the ears don't stop there, yes there's more. They have lots of good snack food for your eat-in or takeout pleasure including slow-roasted Pork, hot dogs, popcorn, homemade chili & cheese sauces, homemade salsa, scratch petzel dough, in-house recipe mac & cheese, hamburgers & more. You can sit in their spacious 50's themed dining area in the back as well as outdoor seating just feet away from Hwy 59 so you can chill out, chow down and traffic & people watch. It's across the street from the lovely Foley town square so this is a prime place to sit and relax. Some other fun features are their shirt & t-shirt collections, socks, stuffed animals, souvenirs and an eclectic soda collection, the bacon & coffee sodas caught my eye. They also have another location in next door Gulf Shores & were established in 2012. Bottom line: This is a great place for kids of all ages and I highly recommend it!

I bought $26 worth of sugar free taffy. It's all melted and sticking together. I couldn't hardly get it out of the bin.

Upon entering you can smell all different kinds of sweets and treats but right up front I'm always drawn to what we called "penny candies" when I was a kid. I forgot what we called them over 50 years ago but these are called Nik.L.Nip mini drinks, and for those that were kids when my 41 year old was a kid they have a big selection of pop rocks :-) Staying with the sweet stuff they have a great assortment of candies from just about every decade going back to WWII and up to the Star Wars variety. There's a bigger version of this locally owned business in Foley with the advantages of a larger inventory and also a great souvenir shop, if you don't want to deal with the crowds closer to the beach. They also have other fun stuff t-shirt collections, socks, stuffed animals, souvenirs and an eclectic soda collection, the bacon & coffee sodas caught my eye. Bottom line: This is a super stop for the entire family! #nostalgia #fun NOTE: I'm normally not one to be crtitical of other reviewers as we all have our personal experiences and should never shy away from sharing without reservation. However, in the case of this business there's some bad star ratings that apparently due to Covid indiscretions and I have something to say about that. This is my opinion as it relates to negatively impacting the overall rating of a business. A 1 star rating will impact a business forever, and let's face it, not that long ago no mask or no gloves wouldn't have factored into that score and with any luck not long from now it won't be a factor again. But the rating will. I feel that any business should be viewed for its venue, the product quality and service and even a bad staffer shouldn't be the ultimate arbiter of the overall score. It's not my intention to make this personal to anyone it's just that I have both sympathy and empathy for small business and I'm on my soap box to address this particular issue as I believe we owe it to our communities to be just a little more measured overall, especially during these difficult times, and especially for our local owned and operated shops. One last thought, I try to put in a Covid related remark, and in a couple cases a warning, so that readers can be informed about what they might encounter. I'll step off now .....

This cute shop is on the Original Oyster House restaurant in their shopping plaza. You can check it…read morein at the restaurant and go shopping because their pagers work everywhere on the boardwalk. It's locally owned and operated with very helpful, professional and friendly staff. It's a fun place with lots of retro items, I'm always on the lookout for a new tie-dye shirt, of course, but I'm my last trip the other day I found a very cool Lucy (Peanuts, that Lucy) shirt that I couldn't resist buying for my #1 daughter, adorable. Bottom line: From Snoopy and Lucy to Star Wars and Star Trek you'll find with classic band, TV, movies, and comics you'll find t-shirts, hats, lunch boxes, jewelry, and a while more this is a great memorabilia shop! Recommended! https://www.facebook.com/RetroRoadTrip/

Love this little shop. Lots of variety in music, movie, and fandom items for sale. "Vintage"…read moret-shirts, hoodies, buttons, patches, and other memorabilia from bands like Rolling Stones, ACDC, Pink Floyd, etc. They also have a lot of bottled drinks, colas, and snacks. I really wanted to try one of the butterscotch non-alcoholic beers, but they didn't have any single bottles in the refrigerator and I didn't want to commit to buying a case of 6. The guy behind the register didn't speak to us at all, which is honestly why I didn't purchase anything. He ignored us entirely. Totally fine with me... I took my business to HotTopic. *shrug*
