If you're looking for a nice relaxing day on a private island then this may be the trip for you!…read moreThis is a group tour that travels with more than just those you booked with. As long as 15 people are on the tour, they will take you to your Calebra. If less than 15 you stay local! There were well over 15 so we were able to tour Calebra. It was so beautiful! Once you get there, they pick you up on a ferry to take you to the boat . The boat travels for about an hour before getting to a private island and that is where you get the guided snorkeling or diving tour depending on what you selected! My friends and I did the snorkeling. As someone who can't swim (I know I know lol) I had a great time. The tour guides were very informative and helpful for all ages and swim levels. They do provide fruit, cold cut sandwiches and rum punch and when you stop . If you're looking for a "party" boat then this may not be for you. Don't expect lots of liquor and twerking etc it's a family type tour, Some of my friends were a bit disappointed by the price expecting that we'd stop somewhere that had a bar and restaurant but it was just a private island (we're in our high 20s low 30s). So idk I think it depends on your expectations but I was okay with everything and the service was great!

We were told we had to first buy and complete the course work through PADI and from There they would do the water/ dive sessions and compete the certification. The shop also gets a kick back from Padi as work since it makes u select a dive shop where ur course work is sent to. Once we complete the course work, we each reached out to the dive shop about 2 - 1 1/2 weeks in advance to schedule the dates and times for the water sessions. We did not receive any type of response back from the shop. We attempted to message on whatsup as requested but still did not receive a confirmation or any type of communication. We called down to the shop, where we were told to just text them. We again tried to text the shop but did not receive any response. We flew to San Juan and arrived and immediately went to the shop, we were told to text them and they would get back to us.. we asked directly if they had availability and we were told they would check and get back to us via text.... A day goes by, we attempt to call and no response.. fully we get a text saying they are fully committed...... This was without doubt the worst type of un-reliable customer service and a refusal to communicate.. I would not trust this dive shop or operation. They should never have told us to use to do the course work with their shop and then refuse to complete our certification. Luckily Scuba Dogs next door came to our rescue when we told them about the horrible customer service we received. Just be aware this shop will not be reliable.

Hubs & I had gone sailing several times both with friends and on excursions before and were prepared for the wind and the spray, and most of all, I was excited for the heeling (hubs less so... but he loves me -- this was more in my wheelhouse than his). I admit, based on previous paid experiences I somewhat expected to have the option of handling the ropes to help with adjusting the sails, of course with appropriate guidance. In this case, that was a hard no; we were not to touch anything, "for safety". We got some commentary on the history of the island and it's fortresses - nice, but in my specific case take it or leave it (because we'd already been to Castillo San Cristobal). I preferred El Capitan talking with us and the other couple about where we were staying and what foodie priorities to get to during our stay. And God put on a sunset show for us, and it was neat to see the other ships in the bay -- from cargo ferries to private yachts to sailboats from all over to a pair of cruise ships in Port. Now I said I'd talk on our communication snafu with the owner -- with our booking there were pretty specific instructions on where to park and where to go. Which we endeavored to follow when we arrived, early, bearing in mind the "if you're late we leave without you, no refunds" cautionary language. We messaged that we were there, that we knew we were early, and where we were, by the gatehouse as instructed. Guard brought us in to where they said we would be met by the team from Sail San Juan Bay, and by then we had a conflicting location message. As we tried to follow orders, we received another message sending us back towards where we had been. I was put off by it, and all the more in contrast to another excursion I did the next day with incredibly clear info and texts to the entire group including the person actually taking point on the group, even though the meeting point was similarly at a public unmanned location. So yeah, 100% go on the sailboat, and enjoy the time on the bay... but follow initial instructions and if you can avoid contact with the owner, do so.

Thanks to Rafael and his wonderful family I have fallen in love with Puerto Rico again. Rafael's vast knowledge of the history of Puerto Rico, religion, and the hot spots across the entire island provided an amazing tour of approximately 75% of the island in our 3 days. Not only did we get to experience the most beautiful areas of the island but also got to enjoy the best of Puerto Rico's culture and food. We felt safe at all times due to Rafael's professional security and previous experience in the US Army. Prior to our arrival, Rafael worked with me to determine a customized travel plan that not only included excursion specifics but also airport transportation, travel assistants, and concierge services. He also reviewed a detailed list of items, such as, age of family members, medical conditions, activity and food restrictions, etc. Rafael is extremely professional, always on time and has great communication skills in both Spanish and English. You can trust his 7 year old son Daniel when he says, "Your wish is his[Rafael] command." Our excursions were 8-12 hours each day and throughout our trip Rafael and his family made us feel like a part of their family. I have traveled to over 8 countries and 35 states and can declare that Rafael is the best tour guide I've ever met.

It's an easy way to spend a day in the sun without breaking the bank. The only hiccup was during check-in. I was told to head to the back for the "dos and don'ts" of snorkeling, but when I found the staff member, he just said, "yeah, you snorkel on the other side of the bay," and pointed behind him. No safety rundown, no directions, nothing. I ended up going back inside, and thankfully another staff member stepped in and got me set up properly. Once I was out in the water, though, it was beautiful -- calm, clear, and full of marine life. Overall, a great experience with just a small bump in the beginning. I'd definitely return.

They ask that you arrive about 15 minutes early, and when we got there, most of the staff greeted us inside the storefront before directing us out back to the kayaking area. For belongings, they give you two options: you can pay $5 for a locker with a key, or you can leave your things in the storage bins out back where someone is always present. I wasn't completely comfortable with the bins, but the staff reassured me that nothing had ever happened to guests' belongings. I decided to take the chance, left my bag there with cash inside, and thankfully, everything was safe and untouched when we returned. Our instructor was Kyler and he was amazing. He was patient, informative, and honestly did most of the work steering our kayak since my daughter kept getting frustrated and turning us in the wrong direction. Kyler shared a lot of history about the Condado Lagoon, pointing out landmarks, statues, and explaining the local marine life--what's there, what isn't, and why motorboats aren't allowed. The way back was more challenging because of the wind, so this time it was up to us to paddle. I ended up doing most of it (patting myself on the back here), and by the time we finished, I was completely soaked from the back--no idea how that happened, but it was all part of the adventure. We wrapped up after about an hour, grabbed our belongings, and everything was still there. Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience for both my daughter and I.

I checked out the Facebook reviews and since my kids love to dance I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience this was. This is a essentially a night club on a boat that takes you around San Juan bay for an hour. As you're walking towards the boat you can't help but to get all excited because of all the lights and music. Once on board you can select between dancing on the upper or lower level. We choose the upper level because we wanted to feel the sea breeze as we danced. Once you settle in prepare to dance non stop for the whole tour. It was amazing to be dancing with people of all ages. I suggest getting on board about 20-30 minutes early so that you can get a few minutes of extra dancing time. The cost is 15.00 per person for locals and 20.00 for tourists. If you're a dancer you'll get your monies worth but if you're not, you'll have a good time by checking out the sights and all of the people on the dance floor. If you're in Puerto Rico, this is a must do.
