Bought a hot tub from them at one of the Spa Fairs. Our model sprung a leak after 1.5 years. I called and did receive a call back but after the initial call there was always an excuse. "They are at a show this week....she will get back to you." Nothing. Then the the guy was on vacation. I left multiple messages but eventually I gave up. Tried to use a leaking hot tub best we could with no responses. Now it won't heat or jets don't come on. Probably fried something due to the first issue. DO NOT waste your money here. We had a very disappointing experience with Xtreme Backyards. They were at the Paso Robles Fairgrounds for their recent spa sale and I decided to attend. The shopping process was pleasant, welcoming, and my salesman was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. When I decided to move forward with the purchase, the salesman discussed the details of delivery and assured us that they would provide the delivery people who would remove the old spa and unload/install the new spa and I would only need to provide one person to be a spotter for their delivery people to ensure the spa doesn't tilt one way or the other. Delivery was very straightforward; my yard was very easy to get into and there was plenty of room. Then, when they called me to schedule delivery, they informed me I would need to provide two people to help with delivery and heavy lifting. I said this was not the agreement and that I didn't have anyone physically capable to help with this. Unfortunately, on delivery day, only two of their delivery people showed up. Me and my daughter were expected to move the old spa and unload the new one, which was something that we never agreed to and were unprepared for. I am a 62-year-old female with a back injury and was not able to help. If you go to the appliance store to purchase a new refrigerator, you aren't expected to have to help the delivery people drag it into your home and risk it being damaged, right? This was my fear as well as I didn't want to become injured and I didn't want my new spa damaged. To make matters worse, the new spa arrived on the delivery truck without any protective covering, plastic wrap, styrofoam, etc. It also had standing water in the bottom and water continued to drain from the jets during the moving process. It also had scrapes and scuffs on the top. There was a yellow hard water line around the entire inside of the spa. There was a sandpaper-like residue on the walls in the entire inside of the spa. The filters were filthy. And then I realized that I was given a floor/show model but I didn't agree to purchasing one. As of today, I am still working on removing the hard water residue on the inside and have yet to sit in and enjoy my spa. The delivery person poured some chemicals from the chemical kit into my spa and left. Considering this was a significant purchase, it was reasonable to expect a follow up call from a staff member to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase, the delivery process, etc. which of course, never happened. What was agreed upon during the sale was completely different from what actually happened. I feel misled and taken advantage of. This was a major purchase, and the lack of professionalism, customer service, and transparency is incredibly frustrating. Based on our experience, I recommend shopping around and purchasing from another company. read more

Purchased a tub less than a year ago and the pipes sprung a leak . Still under warranty but they charge $190 to come fix it . That's not really a warranty, that's just a way around it. Not a good way for a local family run business to operate and expect referrals or repeat customers.I fixed it myself for about $20 bucks. read more

Ok stage set, It's Fathers Day, Paso Robles a few months back my son and I went to a Jacuzzi display at the Paso Robles fair grounds.. Entered, looked around no pressure at all, as we looked around at the tubs. Found a few that we liked. Kicked it around and called the sales person over. No pressure just small talk as I wasn't in the immediate market to make my purchase. Well Guess what ? It was Fathers day after all !!! Discussed a few options with my son then called the sales person over and discussed the purchase. Typical sales team, saleman out getting the sale and then firming it up. Back and forth to the nest (consulting with the boss) then we gave him a offer that was reasonable for all involved and made a finalized the purchase.. We bought the tub... Not disappointed with the time frame, Fathers day to August 23rd. Unknown delays that we the purchaser dont see. They're a business where they fabricate and assemble dozen of Jacuzzi especially after a Fair promote. Little snafu with the delivery but to squawk about, its business. Tammy and crew after a few adjustment with slight date changes our Jacuzzi was delivered. Crew arrived from both directions, North and South and within an hour water was running and tub was heating and within a few hours it reached a reasonable temperature and in I went. Still learning it's operation and how things function. Like I said I could pick apart things but that is Business and the Pro's and Con's of purchasing and having a Jacuzzi built. "Patience prevailed" Extreme Backyards is all Pro.. Great job to all, truly appreciate all the interaction and questions answered. I think the owners need to take the installation crew out for some dinner at Jocko Steak House .. :) 100% happy with my investment. My tubs awesome !!! We bought our hot tub here for our 2nd home in SLO. My wife and I were super stressed about the whole process because the hot tub had to go on a roof-top deck which also required coordination with a crane company. Tammy was incredibly helpful and super easy to work with. She constantly kept in touch and did a ton of proactive prep work for us. The day of the delivery was a complete non-event because everything just went so smoothly. In addition, the guys who did the install were awesome. It was just a great experience all around. My wife and I just bought a large (Hawaii) SPA and accessories from Xtreme Backyards. We absolutely love it. It is better than we hoped. The SPA is absolutely the best I've ever been in, and I'm 6'5" and picky. Their design and the quality of the hot tub, jets , controls and pumps are top notch. They helped us with all the purchase decisions, setup, site preparations, electrical setup and installation choices. Everything went extremely smoothly. After installation they were still there for us answering questions and getting us familiar with operation and maintenance. Their people, from the owner and his wife, to the installation techs to the office managers, are all helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Delivery time was good. Only complaint is I wish they had taken out the debris from the jacuzzi before filling it up with water and I cringed as I saw one of the delivery guys dunk his sweaty greasy curly long-haired head into my brand new jacuzzi that just got filled. After trying to purchase a hot tub through Costco and feeling nothing but disappointment because they took way beyond the time stated to deliver, we cancelled our order and searched Yelp for hot tub stores in our area. We went to xtreme backyards one night and found the perfect hot tub at that same time. We talked with Tammy who is amazing and told her our story. She recognized our eagerness to finally get our hot tub (have been waiting almost 2 months) and acknowledged she would see how soon she could deliver. 9 days later our hot tub was set up in our backyard! We are so happy and will continue using xtreme backyards for future hot tub purchases. Tammy assisted us with talking to our electrician and getting the backyard ready for our hot tub. Great job at losing a CASH sale right now. My husband and I are both in our forties and we were told that we could not be in there with our "food". There were no signs on the exterior of the store stating that, only one saying "Sorry, No Public Restrooms". Maybe if we were children or teenagers, I would understand. But we are GROWN adults. Great products, terrible delivery. The sales girl was great while accepting our money but when it came time for delivery it was a nightmare. If you dont have to work for a living they are great! If you try to schedule your delivery, they are awful. The sales girl told me it would be on x date. My husband took work off to be there, the day before around 5pm we were called to say they couldn't be there because they had to install a pool and wouldn't have enough time...hmmm really? So I was upset and she said she'd try to squeeze us in the next day but they were pretty full. She then called back and said she was able to fit us in because she rescheduled another customer, so my husband requested another day off. Again, we got a call that evening and "our hot tub had a leak" bs!!!! She just couldn't fit us in. So finally two weeks after our delivery date promise and three missing days of work our hot tub was delivered. We were also told our hot tub came with a light and it doesn't. Again, love the product, hated the delivery. We will not return nor send our friends and family here. read more

If there was a zero rating I would rate it that. Terrible customer service rude non-integrity having people. The owner was extremely argumentative when I reached out for help regarding a jacuzzi I had just bought. Had it for less than a month had multiple problems rusted hinges, head cushions all came off within 2 weeks, 2 of the corner seat jets quit working on the third month. When I reached out to The owner about these problems she told me that there was nothing wrong with the jacuzzi without coming and checking it out and wanted me to pay $250 to have somebody come and check it out when I still had a warranty she never sent anyone and I'm still stuck with a BS Jacuzzi that halfway doesn't work and has fallen apart I would not recommend them whatsoever! read more
