I had an appointment at 4 o clock that was supposed to take 2 hours today to have an interlock put in and once I arrived I was told it would take 3 1/2 to 4 hours. So I leave my car, my ID, insurance paperwork, credit card and key with them from 4-8. I get back at 7:45 to pick up my car and they didn't even touch my car. They can't even get the job done today. They didn't even call me to let me know they couldn't do the job. Don't go here. They are unprofessional and waste your time. If you have to get an interlock, do not waste your time here. I have had XAS install a Pioneer head unit, Pioneer rear speakers, a Kicker audio amp and four Kicker speakers on a 1985 Vanagon, which is my pride and joy. I've also had its windows tinted there, and most recently, four LED fog lamps installed. The sound is really good - so much better than the factory unit in my daily driver, and so much better than the original factory sound of the Vanagon. The reason for the lack of a full five stars is that I have had one small glitch with this establishment and I have not yet been able to fully check the fog lamps, but the glitch was addressed very cordially and I just like working with local merchants who love what they do. The person who operates XAS is very personable and I feel very welcome at the store. I will see how things go with the fog lamps and report back once that test has been run. read more

The issue is no one even called to tell me my afternoon appointment was off. Took my truck in to replaced a bad door lock actuator. It was kind of scary driving up to the installation bay...wait what bay? It was two guys standing behind a strip mall, installing in the parking lot. I hope they were the "professional" installer or were they helping themselves to the car? In ether cases, they were working. It was almost like a guy would drive up to you in a parking lot and offers his service to you. OK, just out of curiosity and pure insanity, I did a leap of faith. The service was OK. They ordered the part that I needed after I placed a deposit. Returned later and parts successfully installed. I would rate 4 stars for labor cost, and 1 star for professionalism. Would I come back again? Not sure, maybe not, depends on my leap of faith. Note: $80 labor, $50 for door lock actuator, $20 for fused box. Total cost was a little over $150. read more

Got this is a Groupon Goods for my fiance for Christmas 2011. We had it installed a couple months later. I will no longer purchase anything from Groupon unless it's half off at a restaurant i can find reviews for. Where to start... The location is ridiculously shady, we almost said forget it when we walked into the place. But, against my better judgement, we went through with it. It ended up being an additional $70 over what i paid for the groupon because of her model car. The groupon had 2 price points, and i read the deal over several times to make sure hers would fit into the lower price point, and according to the deal, it should have (I realize i should have called in advance and that's my fault, but i still felt ripped off). Her car was not actually in the lower price point like the ad suggested. So, not wanting to get her a gift only to find out she couldn't have it, i paid the extra $$$ and left it with them for a few hours. Now, her car wont' shut off for 10 minutes after you use the remote start. Even with the key out of the ignition, you can tap the brake all you want but the car won't shut off, you have to let sit for about 10 minutes and then it goes off on it's own. The guys have offered to remove it for free, but we're afraid to let them touch the car again. They won't refund our money, tho. So even if we have them remove it, we're just out the original $. Stay clear of this place. If you don't much about cars, you're pretty much at the mercy of the person working on it, whether it is a mechanic or a stereo technician. This was a hard lesson learned for us about trying to save as much money as possible when it comes to our cars. You get what you pay for. read more

I have never been to a place that has more incompetent idiots than this company. I have scheduled two appointments to have a product, that they installed, repaired for the third time. The first appointment I arrived and I was told that their technician was on a custom job, and would not be able to finish in time to repair my car. I was the. rescheduled for a week later and sat for an hour in their shitty dirty waiting room, to then be told their technician was having trouble on another job and would not be able complete my repair yet again. Their fix for this problem was to have me drive 30 minutes across town to their other half bit location to fit me in as soon as they possibly could.I would urge you to spend your money somewhere else, and to take your service needs to a location that can back their products and provide competent staff to complete your job. I have been here twice, once to have a remote start installed in my Jeep Wrangler (this was earlier this year) and another time to have stereo & speakers installed in my boat. (just a few wks ago). I have no complaints. The remote install was on a Group-on, and although they were busy with all that they had sold, they were able to fit me in for the install within a week time. I was not upsold, and the install was fine. I had seen postings saying they were sold something else, but I was told upfront what was needed and that is why the group on had a couple price points- - - - It depends on what vehicle & ignition you have as to what unit they need to install....thats it. Recently I had a stereo and two speakers put in my boat. Again, no upsale, just what I needed, everyone was polite, and I was happy. Pricing was reasonable. ok, now for the facility. No it is not like your typical auto stereo place, & yes the store is in the back of a Hispanic General store that sells cowboy boots, ice cream, get your hair done etc! Kind of interesting actually, and doesnt really bother me. The owner, Bruce is great, fair, and knows his stuff. Another gentleman helped me on my boat, and he was great as well. Went in for them to install my amp wiring kit and everything was running good for about a month or so than my amp blew! Figured the amp was just old and needed and new one! So I bought a new amplifier and had the gains turned down half way till xtreme can get it tuned after Thursday(which was thanksgiving). My new amplifier lasted not even 2 days sending it into protection mode. So I call xtreme to see if they can check the wires they ran to see if I'm getting a short and they said yeah they can check it out and to bring the car by! So I drop the car off for like 4 hours to get a call back saying they can't do anything unless I pay a diagnostic fee when they previously told me on the phone before taking it in that it was covered under warranty! So I'm guessing I kinda took an L because I paid for an amp install kit and they won't even check the wires they ran too see if I have a short somewhere. So if someone can recommend what to do because I don't want to buy another amp for it to mess up a day later like my new one just did. Thank you! read more

The tech that installed my remote starter on my 99 4runner did a great job. My husband checked his work the second I brought my car back home and he said it was top notch. The remote starter itself isn't amazing but it works. I think the range or something isn't good. I have to try to start it more than I few times before it will start but I can do this from in the house kinda far away from the car. For the price it's great. read more

From the average consumer viewpoint this place probably would get less of a star rating but here is why they will see me again. Someone here knows Car Audio and it is seems a lot like the old days here. So you go in and there is all kinds of stuff and they sell Kicker, MTX, Focal speakers and boxes for many different car and trucks.They also have everything to hook up a system without 2 other trips like some places and will sell you a car harness off the wall for diyer's (a very under-served market). It is unique though in that it is at the end of an indoor market in a Dollar Store shopping center so don't be discouraged the gold is at the end. My problem is I know how to install and I have a full spectrum internet unlike 25 years ago. Now you want an amp?- ebay- simple as that with relatively lower pricing. That is the challenge a lot of Car Audio shops face but it's hard to beat it in the flesh especially when you got a pocketful of money and yearn for high fidelity in your car. The bad- went in for a line output converter, even a working used out of the installers toolbox, but all they had was a Rockford 2 channel for $30 and that pales on the online market- I might as well go for a full on Audio Control loc for double online.But I will be back- I think someone here loves Car Audio but train your staff to have a razor sharp vocabulary and car audio knowledge to sell and succeed. Your too rare to leave this current world where car audio has been relegated to a corner of wally's store a few miles away. It took them 5 MONTHS to get me in. Then I was told it would be 2-4 hours. Not 30-90min groupon said it would be. To there credit they were able to finish in 90 min. Plus they are located in the middle of , what can only be discribed as, a indoor flea market in a very run down part of town. It also was more expensive and in order for all of the keyless enters to work I woul of needed to pay ANOTHER 55$ and wait ANOTHER hour. After purchasing a Groupon for an auxiliary input installation, I made an appointment. Firstly, their business is inside a Hispanic grocery/clothing/jewelry/junk store with a very small sign to locate the place. There is no decent waiting area to sit while services are being performed. Their services are performed outside in a parking area behind their building, which is a large strip mall--very strange to me. Next, their customer service is most definitely less than adequate. It couldn't be explained by the staff member (who didn't introduce himself) why I was paying taxes on the ENTIRE value of the service I purchased, instead of only what I actually did purchase. Interestingly, his manager wasn't going to be in until the weekend! Next, they didn't explain in the Groupon, upon making an appointment, or showing up for the appointment that the auxiliary input was a RADIO associated auxiliary input. The radio frequency that they programmed gave the most awful sound quality. When I immediately brought the vehicle back to have them fix the sound quality, they didn't improve anything. I believe their sales and service are shady and of poor quality. Please do not waste your time or hard earned money on any of their services!!! read more

I had purchased a used vehicle that had an aftermarket roof-mounted video unit already installed. It wasn't working, but we bought the van anyway. I wanted to get the unit working though and, after not being able to figure it out myself, I used Xtreme Auto Soundz to inspect the unit and figure out what was wrong. When I called, the phone experience was very good. The guy explained that they would take a look at it for $40 and, if it was something easy to fix that would be the full charge but, if it was something requiring more work or additional parts, they would quote how much and apply the $40 towards it. I made an appointment and dropped off the van. I received courteous and professional service and they called me after about 40 minutes to let me know the status. Shortly thereafter, I returned, paid the bill and picked up the vehicle. The video unit now works perfectly. They did charge me an roughly an extra ten bucks for a part they needed to install, but it was worth it. The place is a little hard to find as it's inside a retail space called "Plaza Latina" that apparently houses several different businesses. It's right next to a hardware store and in the same general area as the Dollar General. They do have an "Xtreme Auto Soundz" banner outside above the entrance to Plaza Latina, but if you are looking over from Pecos Street, it's pretty impossible to see if you are driving North. Based on my experience, I would happily go back to them for mobile electronics services. Bad bad bad!!!!!! Wish there were reviews when I went here. I purchased a Groupon from here for a remote car starter. It was cheap so that should have been a warning sign right there. First off, it was very hard to find. It was in some ghetto Mexican Mart. What??? Second, it took four times, FOUR TIMES as long as they said. I had to go 8 hours without a car instead of two like they had said. When I went back to pick up my car, they were working on someones car in the parking lot. They don't even have a damn garage to do the work in. So I thought this was kind of weird but I couldn't start my car with the key. It could only be started remotely (which they didn't tell me). I thought maybe that was the system they put in or it was a security thing? Nope, they just didn't hook it up right. Shortly after it was installed, I started having problems with my car. Serious problem. I had never had any problems since I bought it years before. Their fault? Who knows. I just sold the car a week ago and I am so glad it is gone so I don't have to deal with those 'problems' anymore. They don't care about their customers. They just want money. Run, run farrrrr away. I have had a few items installed in my vehicles at Extreme Auto Soundz. I am very pleased with there installation. I had a stereo, speakers and amp installed in my son's car, same thing in my husbands truck, and recently had a remote start installed in my car. Everything was installed and working great. However, be prepared to leave your vehicle all day though because it has taken more time than expected for all 3 vehicles to be done, but very happy with final results. I originally bought the group on for auto start about two years ago. That was on a ford f150 truck, that I ultimately got two 10's with a head unit and 4 channel amp. Last year I brought my 2011 f250, and got a double din (navigation), two 10's behind the back seat, and kicker door speakers all around, also 7 inch headrest monitors. The second system was great with the exception of the back up camera never working exactly the same, (which Bruce warned me about). Over all, I was very happy with both systems. I just brought in a new f150 ecoboost, with Microsoft sync. Got 2 amps, two 10's, and kicker all ways around. These last two installs are very complicated installs and Bruce and his team have knocked it out the park again. Lets face it, his prices are soo much lower than the big name stores, that you will get much more bang for your buck. The group on auto start worked fine on my first car. I read the other reviews and I feel like he uses that to get people into the store, because the stereo equipment is truly a bargain. I would recommend this shop, and I have sent three coworkers in here. All of them have been satisfied. read more

I found them through Groupon, It was for a automatic car starter, a 200 dollar value for 89.00. I thought it was a great deal. I wanted to surprise my sister for Christmas, I called the company even before I purchase the deal and told him the make and model of my car and asked him if it would qualify for that deal. He informed me yes. I set the appointment and purchased the deal. When I went to drop off the car, I had a hard time finding the place because it was inside a grocery store. I went in and was told I could upgrade the remote with a keyless entry for 55.00 dollars more. After some fast talking sales I decided okay, it's only 55 dollars more and she will only have one remote. I confirmed 4 times that it will only cost me 55.00 more when I come back, he said yes and it will be done in 2 to 3 hours. It took an hour and a half to install, which was great. I went there and was told that it was 200 dollars minus the 89.00 groupon which I already paid for I owed him 110 dollars more. He said that it was 149 dollar special because the car was 2006. Not once did he call and me to inform me it was going to cost me an additional amount , I mention the make model and year to him many times, I informed him to please uninstall the vehicle and he said it would not be done till 8 that night if not the next day. If I wanted to spend 200 dollars on a automatic car start then I would have just went to an place and got it install there. He also informed me that 89 dollars would not be refunded because of the cost of labor. this place did the old bate and switch which is not cool. read more

This is an incredibly TRASHY location. I waited 10 minutes for someone in the back to saunter up to the front to help me. When he came up he did not acknowledge my presence. After having me sign a piece of paper agreeing to the work - he took my car back and completed it in a timely manner. When he returned, he had added a tax charge to the sheet I had already signed - making it appear as if I had agreed to the tax charge. I was taxed the full 200 value ( which I know includes labor and is ILLEGAL). Phone calls to the business's manager were not returned. This is a shady business. I am also pissed at Groupon for continually supporting this business and I am in the process of filing further complaints with them. read more

Purchased a deal from Groupon on December 8, 2011 for a "remote car-engine starter and installation with bypass procedure" from Xtreme Auto Soundz. The remote starter was first installed on March 12, 2012. It is an "Autopage c3-rs603". . Well, only slightly longer than a month later, the remote start was not working and I had to go in again to get it re-done on April 21, 2012. I started working again and thus I hoped it was fixed. Sadly, the remote start stopped working again and I had to go in yet again to get it re-done on August 11, 2012. Well it is now October 24, 2012 (the first snow in Denver), and I tried to use it (it was working a few days ago when I used it) and again it is broken. The car starts and then shuts down, just as before. In previous times, each time I went in to get it fixed, despite their apparent disorganization, they were polite and they fixed it for free. However, these are very long appointments (4-6 hours) that they have my car, and getting an appointment now will take at least a few weeks. I have requested a refund from the Groupon company. and filed a case in BBB. STAY AWAY!! RETURN YOUR GROUPON ASAP!!! read more

Paid them to install an aftermarket security system. They drilled a hole into my air conditioner and it leaked fluid over my car's computer system. They wouldn't pay for it to be towed to them, nor did they pay for the $3k repair bill to my car. They did however try to fix the alarm system, which is now killing my battery in 2 days and failing to remote start. read more
