Mason is the owner of both of them. But the World Bazaar has no food, just a million items of interest for your home or person. I bought two of the scarves he had -- there is a great variety -- for only $14.95 each. What a bargain. And one of them matched exactly the sun dress I just bought at Cotton n Stuff. There were many many Eastern and Asian statues, Buddha-heads and art pieces to hang on your wall. The prices are very reasonable and it is a fun place to browse.

Folks have complained about being followed or heavily scrutinized inside. I could see why people might say that, it is a huge space and I'm sure they're trying to deter would be shoplifters. Some of the merchants inside are reasonably priced, others are a little bit more pricey. However, overall, I find that there are much better value than some of the boutiques that line the sidewalks in Oceanside or Carlsbad for instance. I ended up with a couple of air plants, nearly bought a beaded carpet bag type thing, but decided that I don't know when I would use it. They have two other locations in San Diego. It's big and has so many items for the home like bedding, art, lighting, kitchen items, food, and much more. There was a little bit of Halloween decor left and so much Christmas themed stuff throughout the store. I was there to get silicone spatulas and they have a huge wall of utensils where I found exactly what I needed and more. I walked up and down all the aisles looking at everything else in case I needed anything else. It was a bit messy in some spots but I imagine it's difficult to keep up with so many people coming through the store and moving items. I'm a bit spoiled as I live near the flagship store and shop there. It feels different than the others. No matter what I do enjoy shopping at Home Goods and always end up purchasing something.
