My experience with Xoom Energy is by far the worst experience I've ever had with any utility…read moreprovider in my lifetime. On my first bill that included only 4 days of service, they billed me $2500 which was obviously incorrect, yet multiple reps stated that they did a special reading and it was the correct usage. I explained to them that it's just me in the home and I literally took 4 brief showers, and cooked once. No other gas was used. The rep then said she'd have Atlanta Gas Light come out to ensure there wasn't a leak. She said a tech should be reaching out to me within 24 hrs. I never received a call so I called Atlanta Gas Light's emergency line myself just in case I did have a leak. I was able to have the rep dispatch a tech immediately and before hanging up she said it looked like Xoom combined the last tenant's outstanding bill with mine. Regardless, I went through the motions and had the tech come out to confirm that there wasn't a leak. I called Xoom back and they said I'd need to wait a few days until the meter is read again in two days and I should see the correct bill amount in my account. I gave it 2 days and didn't see any changes so I called back only to have the next rep tell me that they did another special reading and the amount billed is correct. I said to her how can that amount be correct for 4 days of usage?!! I told her they need to conduct another audit because they obviously combined the previous tenants outstanding bill with mine. After putting me on hold, she was able to confirm that as well. She said she would need to call me back later. Yea never received a call so I had to follow up again. The next rep told me a supervisor finally contacted Atlanta Gas Light so they're waiting to hear back. Literally 6 calls (20-30 min each) and waiting for a tech to come out (2 hrs) and the issue is still not resolved. All because of a billing error and extreme incompetency of this Xoom Energy!!! Shame on you Xoom!

DUKE ENERGY REVIEW I…read moream writing this review because I believe I have been victimized by Duke Energy. I am also writing this review because I fear what has happened to me has happened, and will happen, to other Duke Energy customers. My last bill from Duke Energy was for the usage period November 8 - December 5, 2025. The total for the bill was $90.95. What is unusual about this bill is that the total cost was $22.00 more than the previous month and the fact I was in another state from November 6 - December 4, 2025. There was no one in my house to use any electricity. I called customer service three times. I had to call three times because two of my call went to call centers outside the United States and I could not understand what the service representative was saying. I finally reached a call center in Florida. The service representative could not provide any reasonable explanation for the discrepancy in my bill. All she was able to tell me was that my electric meter was operating properly. In fairness, to date, I must say I have been very happy with the service Duke Energy has provided to me. However, several issues emerged from my experience dealing with this currently unresolved problem. First, Duke Energy serves 8.6 million electrical customers and 1.7 million natural gas customers in seven states. I found out that Duke has full control of all these electric and gas meters. It is very possible, even likely, that Duke has incorrectly inputted some meters and subsequently increased customers bills. It should be noted that no agency, Federal or local, audits the Duke Energy monopoly. It seems, the customers are subjected to, without recourse, whatever decisions Duke Energy makes at the meter and on our bills. No agency, anywhere, should be allowed to wield this kind of power over its customers. I encourage anyone who has faced a similar problem to write to our elected officials to get them involved. I'm going to write send this review to them and to the Federal Trade Commission. What Duke Energy does to their customers is simply not right.

I don't even know where to start. Tech "showed up" while my wife and I are sitting upstairs waiting…read morefor his arrival. We get a call 5 minutes after 8 (the scheduled arrival time) that he had showed up and nobody was home? What? I asked, "did he ring the doorbell?" to which the customer service rep says "yes, it says he rang the doorbell twice". Bewildered, I run downstairs and test my doorbell, and at which time the doorbell chimes and both of our dogs bark wildly. Hmmm, so my dogs didn't hear the doorbell either? Now, 3 weeks later, following our honeymoon, we finally get a tech out to our rental and turns out, the furnace is broken! Snow it's cold inside and I have to wait for heat even longer while a tech comes and fixes our furnace. It's almost like I scheduled this 3 weeks earlier JUST IN CASE there was an issue. Now, I'm left in a cold townhome with no heat and no idea what the hell I'm supposed to do. Thank you to the USELESS technician that never even showed up to my house. Thank you for making sure the day we show up back from our honeymoon can be so frustrating. PSNC, make your people have some damn accountability and stop using this stupid monopoly as an excuse to not give a shit about your customers.

I have PSNC for 5 years at my old apartment. I moved out August 1 2017, and set up the account to…read morebe canceled on that day. I used their online service to process this. However, 6 months later I notice that I've had $15 charges for PSNC taken from my bank account each month. I didn't notice before because I don't use the account as much and it's such a small amount. Well, I called them and said I closed my service 6 months ago and moved out, why am I being charged? Low and behold, they have no record of my scheduled closing! Shocking! I got a final bill for $58, I have spent $150 on gas for the current tenant. Can't get my old landlord (Gaskill Realty in case you wonder) or the current tenant to return my calls or pay me back. Those idiots didn't apparently think it was their responsibility to put their utilities in their own name. So, I'm eating the money because PSNC is a bunch of incompetent idiots, just like my old landlord. So glad that my new home I'm buying doesn't use gas, I'll never have to pay these morons a cent again.
