The ever developing gastronomic scene in Milan is witnessing the opening of numerous regional Chinese restaurants, offering dishes close to the original recipes from the various areas of this huge country. Xinya does not succeed in its scope. Both staff & owner are snobbish, the place is strangely full (this part of town is full of boring & presumptuous hipsters who don't know any better), despite the wonderful "Dim Sum" restaurant next door that certainly will not suffer from lack of clientele. If out of the kitchen came magnificent dishes, I could forgive attitude, but everything I ordered was dull, plain, "lifeless ". The menu is scanty, the flavors even more. Chow main was bland at best. and so were potstickers. The only good dish were the spicy string beans. Prices surreal, too high for quality/quantity. read more
