Plainville, CT store is disgusting! I bought a new phone there in September, it's totally defective! And all their technicians can not fix it. The employees there are very rude,arrogant,and disrespectful to the elderly and disabled people. Nobody will help with this horrid dilemma! Don't go there..ever! $1,300.00 for a defective phone! Customer Service = LOL!!! "We're a monopoly, so you can wait." Unfortunately, most people only write reviews when there is an issue. Nothing new to say about lack of CS at Xfinity. Waited 45 for a rep., who, NTS, was not personable, at all. AND neglected to tell me anything about Auto-Pay. I was waiting for a bill and decided to randomly click onto the App., which I was forced to get, to discover, I was set up for Auto-Bill Pay. I am not a fan of that set-up in anyway, shape or form. At no point in time, was I told, he would be setting up Auto-Pay. I think I have discontinued it, through the App., but I still will be going back to the store to confirm. Came here today to pickup equipment for new service. I set the service up over the phone so you'd think picking up the router/modem would be easy. NO. I arrive to find a large lobby with seating and desks all around. There were five or six Xfinity employees in the lobby but only 2 actually helping customers. It should never take longer to pickup the equipment than it does to set the service up. I sure hope this isn't indicative of the service I'll get going forward or I'll be cancelling this internet faster than they can speak it. Totally unacceptable! read more

It is impossible to speak with a live person. Even their 'chat' can't answer my questions but still will not connect me to a person! Spent 2 hours trying and gave up. I have visited the Boston Road store many times since they first opened years ago. Their employees have **always** been very knowledgeable, very pleasant and friendly, always offered valuable insights to make decisions easy, and always known the equipment and which models worked the best, and which ones had problems, since they are on the "front line" everyday, and see and hear about every kind of problem that customers have. The Xfinity Store is really the ONLY part of Comcast's entire business that I have found to operate properly, providing excellent customer service, knowledgeable people, immediate access to any equipment you may like to rent or purchase, and the ability to speak with knowledgeable individuals who are able to provide a truly warm and friendly, professional level of advice about any product or service you may have any questions or concerns about, and to make you feel both confident in whatever you decide as well as a wonderful level of satisfaction with the entire experience from the time you enter the store. However, as I discovered the first time I visited after they opened, there is a little getting used to how their process is designed when you first enter the store, as whoever is working as a receptionist at the front of the store asks "what brings you into the store today?", and if you have any equipment you're returning, they ask you to hand it over to them (and not the person you will be seeing as the 2nd step they inform you to do). This handing over of your equipment to a third party and not the individual you will be speaking with next always seems a little disconcerting, but they both access your account information in the computer, and note the equipment has been returned, so it won't show up on your bill anymore. So, you learn to become comfortable with this being the way their process works. After you've turned any equipment in, or if you are there for some other reason, you're then asked to wait to be served in the lobby/showroom area. While you wait, you can browse the phones that are on display, look over the laptops and tablets and any other equipment that's on display, or you can have a seat on one of the benches and relax as you wait your turn. Once your name is called, you walk up to the counter of the individual who will take care of you and greet them; they'll confirm you're the right person, verify your account information (name, address, etc.) then, if you're returning equipment, they'll ask if that's all you needed to do today. If it is, they'll simply let you know that the return was entered correctly, and ask if there's anything else they can do for you, and if not wish you a nice day. Altogether a very pleasant experience, aside from the sometimes rather lengthy wait, depending on the time of day you go there, and happenstance, really. But if you want to pick up new equipment, even just to try (as I did this evening), they'll answer any questions you may have, even about their personal experience with it or ask another employee who is nearby if they agree with their assessment of the product you're interested in from a personal point of view... and if you'd like to try it, they'll happily "go in the back" and retrieve one for you. I've never had any problems doing this, it's always been a very nice, pleasant experience, and I've always had a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that everything was handled quite well, and on a profession level every time I have done this, which has been a considerable number of times over so many years now. ** Creating the Xfinity Store was the Best Thing that Comcast ever did ! ** Perhaps the Best Part about it of all is that **You don't have to ever deal with their incredibly frustrating, time wasting, 'automated voice response system'** that you are forced to deal with when you call Comcast Customer Support, which has ALWAYS been the WORST part of their entire business; which has only gotten worse and worse over the course of the 34 years that I have been doing business with them. Comcast (without the Xfinity Store), is not designed as a "customer centered" business. They only care about profits, and this is reflected in their absurd desire to have as few employees as possible and, to achieve this, to do everything in their power to prevent customers from ever speaking to an actual person, not even a receptionist, as you once did. They have replaced people with an "Automated Voice Response System" (AVRS), a computer you are force to speak with when you call. The computer has one purpose, and one purpose only - to STOP YOU from ever talking with a real person, despite that possibly being the only way you're going to get your simple question answered, or get your actual problem fixed. Go to the Store, speak with a live professional, just like it was always done back in the "old days", and have the most satisfying and fulfilling experience that you truly deserve. Please be advised. Within 60 Seconds of entering this Buisness location. The greeter looked me up from head down to toe. No smile no greeting. She asked me "what do you need" I was returning equipment. Handing it to he, I didn't recieve and conformation of me being serviced. I asked for the equipment back to screen shot the labled to confirm what I was returning from my account. I was refused the equipment. I insisted she cancel my return and hand my back the property I am respond for. "I don't have to do anything you ain't my Momma". quite the negative experience in front of my 11 yr. Old Grandson. The second Employ with a Rubics cube and a lg Red stoned ring. Yelled across the room Don't record me "I've Got Lawyers I've got Lawyers" All of this as I am searching for a kiosk or a monitor for customer service. I ask to speak to a supervisor or manager. The male employee with the red stoned informs me he is the manager. He shares with me they don't have to serve me. I need to leave and go to another location. No service was provided. I went outside and called the comcast Xfinity. I spent well over 90 minutes trying to confirm my equipment being received. No conformation number, no text or email recieved. I would have felt much more comfort if the police were there to take a report. This doesn't even touch the issues I needed to have solved from my bill. Every month for over two yrs. The service increased monthly. I live in a remote area where the government had a program for reception for 35.00 dollars a month. Huge difference to over 2 hundred dollars a month. I have to say I was very impressed with this Xfinity location. I came in frustrated because I had canceled my service multiple times online to no avail and kept getting billed. However once there, I was greeted and checked in right away with no appointment. Jose helped me sort out the problem and even called the manager over who backdated my cancellation so that I will be reimbursed for the charge. Dealing with Xfinity over the phone? I turn into an unhinged customer yelling REPRESENTATIVE!!!! Into the phone. However dealing with Jose at this particular location was fast, easy and efficient! Really appreciated it! read more

i just got off of the phone with a comcast rep. and may bring legal action against comcast. a foreign white substance began spewing out of the tv remote less than a year ago and i informed comcast reps and there robots several times about this problem that i did not create. it was there remote and the agent wants to charge me for another remote even though i did not cause the issue, therefore i feel my only recourse is to contact a lawyer or other legal rep. in an attempt to resolve this issue with there defective remote. read more

I wasn't happy with having to drive to Springfield in order to talk to someone in person but dealing with Xfinity on the phone is absolutely hopeless. One trip involved a complicated billing issue that was successfully resolved after a lot of back and forth with various supervisors. Second trip Was necessary when my iPhone with the dust. I had to get a new one. The young man who worked me was understanding of my issues. He came up with a model that met my needs and my budget. read more

This service is bull all the time. Not only have they deleted channels from the actual line up they so called "improved the remote" well im here to tell u it sux and it sux bad! The remote is slow, u cant double click to get list and u cant set a simple reminder. Never mind how it never shuts off! I go thru batteries like crazy cuz i rock in a chair so now i cant even hold the remote cuz some genius thought it would b great to light up. Well how about people that have rocking chairs?? It never dims. U have to jump thru hoops to get one function. Whos the brain that took the old remote and said this one is better? Its terrible. I want to smash it every time i use it.
