I also really liked that I could schedule online on Jon's website to make it easier to align my schedule with his availability on my own time. In short, excellent customer service up front and through the whole process start to finish. He might not be the cheapest, and definitely not the most expensive, but it is reasonable and he provides fixed-pricing which he sticks to as long as scope doesn't change. He also pulls all necessary permits and has passed all inspections with flying colors. Jon has now completed two projects for us. About 6 months ago, he installed new bathroom fans in 4 bathrooms and he recently installed an Electric Vehicle charger in our garage (along with a 60 AMP breaker to support it). I received a word-of-mouth recommendation from my neighbors who had Jon perform a much larger project which included significant re-wiring of their entire house, as well as a new breaker panel among other items. Another neighbor had Jon install a bathroom fan as well as some other work. They could not say enough good things about him and they were 100% right. I have nothing but praise for his work quality. I am one of those customers that likes to do a lot of research up front before I buy items for my house. Jon was patient during my bathroom fan researching as well as my EV charger purchasing and provided me his input as-needed. He let me buy my own fans and charger to ensure I got the items that I wanted. Along with all the excellent electrical work that he performed, he also makes sure to check in with the homeowners if there are unexpected decisions that need to be made during his process and he does not push "the expensive option". There were some moments where he had to cut into drywall and he warned me up front that he does not fix drywall (no electrician does). A big bonus goes to his patience, not just with homeowners, but with my kids too. One of my kiddos had a ton of questions and Jon took the time to talk to him and explain how everything worked and some of the fundamentals of electricity (and safety around electricity). Buyer Beware!!!!!! Wouldn't even give it one star if I…read morecould. Their customer service SUCKS! My alarm system has not worked right for over a year. First time was told because my landline was disconnected and I only had cell. Said that was strange since my land line was disconnected years before. Was assured this was the issue. Paid 100+ for fix. Alarm still doesn't work now pad says bf. Trouble shot over phone no fix. Told it was because of weather in Michigan (I live in Massachusetts). Told to wait a few weeks and it would resolve itself. It hasn't. Call again so sane trouble shooting...no fix. But they still charge me 70.00 a month for monitoring even though system is not in working order to monitor. Now on hold for 20+ minutes to cancel my service. Could get rep. Immediately to add or change service but why the long wait to cancel. Buyer Beware!!! With so many other options out there stay clear of ADT unless you want to throw money away for no monitoring. Update: Five minutes after posting and I am on the phone with ADT. The offer is now to upgrade my system. While that is satisfactory, I should not have had to post on Yelp and google for ADT to step up and make good on a customer who has been with them for 16 years.

I called earlier…read moreto let them know that I wanted the service to end with the contract, but they told me I would be charged a cancellation fee if I cancelled then - I explained that I simply wanted my contract to expire without further charges and they told me to call before the contract was up. I called today to ensure services were cancelled; after being on hold for 8 minutes, I was transferred to the department that handles contracts. I was told that I couldn't cancel because I had a balance that was more than 120 days past due. I explained that I have automatic billing and a zero balance; the rep told me we could "settle" and pay a lower rate for two months and call it a wash. I refused and he said I had to talk to billing. Another 5 minutes on hold and billing confirmed what I already knew, then sent me back for cancellation. After 35 minutes total, they confirmed I had a zero balance but literally tried to get me to renew 5 times and offered a discounted rate. I repeatedly declined and was informed that it takes 30 days to process terminations, so I have to pay for a week even after my contract expires. ADT staff are obviously trained to upsell and not take no for an answer on cancellations and I am very suspicious about the claim I had a balance due being used as fraudulent leverage to squeeze a couple more months of fees out of me. 42 minutes total for a transaction that should have taken less than 5 minutes. Awful customer service. Edited to add that they called me 2 days later to ask why I cancelled and offered me a holiday special. It's easier to quit the mafia.

I must've spent 10 hours on the phone now trying to set up service with them. The first time they canceled my contract because they Claimed I was supposed to pick up the equipment and I didn't, but they never told me I had to pick up the equipment. When I set up the second time they offered me a worse deal, but claimed it was all they could do; when they confirmed it, it was wrong, and so I called back again. I finally got a supervisor, she said that I could have the original deal but she never confirmed it either. She gave me a phone number I could call her out without having to go through the system but she never calls back. so I still don't have service and I don't have any confirmation of the deal they've offered me, I do have the equipment but I'm not setting it up until I know what I'm paying for! I just freaking hate dealing with them. It always takes at least a half an hour to get a human being on the phone because none of the options ever really apply. I literally want to pull all my hair out when I have to deal with them.
