Xfinity is not my favorite place to go because it's always busy and usually there's a long wait. I walked in, was greeted and kindly invited to wait as I expected I would. The place was busy but not packed so my wait wasn't long. I needed to return an item and she assisted me in doing so and I was on my way in record time. Well, these people were about as useful as Anne Frank's drum set. Nothing instills confidence like walking into this store and seeing everyone sitting on their ass. Add a handheld iPad and you get customer service with about as much urgency as putting on sunscreen at the North Pole. You're screwed after having to negotiate their mobile app for help and then speaking to some third world idiot on the phone. I walked out of this store with nothing remedied. Nobody here gives two f*cks about the customer. As I write this review, I'm currently at my local Direct TV store changing my service. Sure do miss the days of Cablevision. read more

I was pleased that an employee was available to take care of this simple task within a minute or so after my arrival. Xfinity is the absolute WORST internet and cable service provider!! My Mom is 85 years old and lives in a retirement community where Xfinity is the only option for a provider. She has had to get 5 new cable boxes!!! Her's "go out" every 3 months or so. Then I have to go over and unhook everything, take it to the Xfinity office and exchange it, then hook it all back up again. They refuse to send out a technician without a "service fee". Absolutely asinine that we have to do this every 3-4 months and they blame it on her TV which is only 3 years old. I will NEVER use or recommend Xfinity or Comcast to anyone for anything. Xfinity needs to be grateful that there isn't another major competitor for high speed internet in Germantown. I am about to be working from home and needed to (1) extend my existing wifi or (2) add a wifi network to my house. I went into this store Friday and was told there would be no problem to add a wifi network to my home. They scheduled a tech to come out just in case I couldn't set up the wifi network on my own. If the tech comes, a one-time charge of $100 will be added to my bill. The tech came out Monday, but can't complete the job. They need to send another tech. Another tech came the next day, still can't complete the job. They suggest I order xFi pods to extend my wifi network. Something the tech that visited on Monday swore they didn't offer. Tuesday, I visit the store again to purchase xFi pods. $269 for two of them. But on the website, they are 2 for $199. I ask if I can get the website price. I was bluntly told no on that offer. So I had to order these extenders from the website. So I have wasted two trips to Xfinity's store and am being charged at least $100 for two techs to come out that really didn't do any work. So let me promise this, the second C-Spire or AT&T or Verizon offer fiber speed services in Germantown, I will be signing up. read more

It's ridiculous how you have to sign in and sit and wait for your name to be called just to return equipment. I'm moving, so I needed to bring back my router, which I thought would be a quick and easy process, so I had my friend waiting in the car. I walked in, wasn't greeted or told that I needed to sign in, and when I got an employee's attention after standing around for about 5 minutes, I was told "You're gonna have to wait." "How long?" I asked. "I don't know," he replied with a sigh and an eye roll. That wasn't an acceptable answer, so I left and decided to come back later when I had more time. The next day, there was actually someone at the door checking people in, and I only had to wait about 10 minutes. The employee who processed my return was friendly and helpful, and it was a very quick process once I got helped. Went in to pick up my equipment, can a bit earlier than my set appointment but they still were able to help me. The worker who help me, Porsha was so sweet and nice and explained everything! She answered any questions I had and just as fast as I was able to get my equipment it was so easy to set up as well! It didn't take me no more than 30 minutes when I went home. So, I was informed by finity that I had ran out of data so they gave me options on how to upgrade to unlimited data and it would cost 30$ more a month. The option was to either buy their modem and get unlimited data or use my own modem pay 30$ a month extra and I can still get unlimited data access! I have my own modem so that's the option I chose. So I go through the process and after going through a couple of pages I get a error message that says...This service is temporary unavailable! So because I didn't buy their modem I couldn't get the unlimited plan even tho the plan is being offered! For 2 months I keep getting the same message if I don't buy their modem so, if you don't buy their modem then they're not going to let you have the unlimited plan even tho they offer the plan when you have your own modem! Everyone is always so rude and sitting in groups just chatting. I work in customer service too and it does suck to have to "turn it on" sometimes but damn that's the job! I rarely ever have to go in or have issues but when I do I am treated like the biggest inconvenience. Unfortunate there's no where else to go for internet in Gtown. This physical store located within the The Shops of Saddle Creek shopping center is a well-appointed brick & mortar extension, providing a physical presence to transact with anything Comcast. My mission was to return equipment, as I was moving from TN to another Xfinity serviceable area. Staff were pleasant and plentiful for a weekday morning. Aside from the perfunctory greeting and opened-ended questioning, the actual transaction of turning in equipment was quite mundane. It's an equipment drop-off! Of the two that helped me, one looking as the store/shift manager and the other being technician, neither were engaging. I'm sure if you're ending your service, you aren't one of value anymore to them, but at least take the the lemon outta your mouth, and leave it in your sweet tea mason jar! The sour faces in this storefront! Memphis area customer service has a lot of room left for improvement, but It's The South, Y'all™ Bottom line: if you can, keep your transaction with Xfinity virtual/online except when return equipment, as you'll need that receipt for future proof of equipment turn-in! read more

Excellent experience! Because of some bad reviews, I had put off going in to the store to exchange some equipment. Recently I reluctantly went online to schedule my appointment. The scheduling process was super quick and I was able to get an appointment for the next day. Several people were in the store when we got there. We were checked in right away and since we had an appointment time, we were greeted by an associate immediately. I wish I had his name, but he was very nice and quickly took care of our equipment exchange and scheduled a service appointment for us for the next business day for a cable connection that was not working. The service technician came out as scheduled, identified the problem, and quickly repaired it. My husband went back to the store today to return a cable box we were no longer using. Terri was a great help to him and quickly processed the return and removed the monthly charge from our account. Three fantastic experiences with Xfinity in a span of 5 days! read more

Trying to communicate with Comcast/Xfinity must be akin to convincing Hitler to be nice! I WENT to the xfinity store in Germantown, Tennessee today (because my Xfinity internet failed me) to arrange for a NEW bundle of Voice, TV and Internet. Upon returning home, I needed to confirm this and verify that VIA my e-mail. Well, it seems that someone else had my cell number some five years ago and I was unable to verify or confirm anything at all. Much later (after having to sign in innumerable times) I spoke with an agent who promised to call my cell number "in one minute" and he did not. CUT THE CORD NOW! Walked in at 11:15. First contact with representative was at 11:37. Wanted to return my equipment. I am now in the "que" to be seen. Staff was nice, but not very efficient. More like Organized Chaos..... I switched to ATT Fiber and only use Hulu Live. Added Magic Jack for our phone (yes we still have one). Avoid this store at all cost! I came to this store to get a new receiver and I checked in at 11:56am and I received a text message stating that I would be seen shortly. After waiting over an hour to get a follow up text, I went back inside the store to see how much longer I would have to wait and the young lady who checked me in said "They cancelled me off the list but I could have a seat and I would be next!" Unbelievable. These people are clueless at this store. The next time I need to go inside an Xfinity store, I will definitely drive out of my way to go to another store. I have been a customer with Xfinity Comcast just over one year now. And I have never been more disappointed with cable and internet service since these companies came about. (For years I lived in Hickory Hill and had a giant satellite dish for cable.) Now with Xfinity bragging about the 10 G network and internet, I decided to try them. I have security system, cameras, phone service and internet. But everytime it gets cloudy, or it rain and sometimes for no reason the service goes down. I have never been given credit for all the time the service is down and they don't seem to care that I'm not safe if my security doesn't have connection. Yes I have called and called and had people out here to check the service. Recently after several days I did get a pretty sharp tech to my home. All the equipment in the attic had to be brought up to code. (I wasn't up there). But down stairs my modem had to be changed. The wires from the wall had to be changed out. All this after a year and nobody else could see that. Anyway the service rep at Xfinity told me the tech that provided the service would determine if a credit was required. Well guess what, the servicing tech said he had nothing to do with it.... But he said he thought a minimum of 30 days is due to me. For all the times the didn't provide service. Like text me the contact info to an agent that never answered. Or tighten up all plugs, unplug the system fo 10 seconds and wait 10 minutes for service to come up. Well now no body at Xfinity knows anything about, or how to give me credit. So I recommend anybody just looking for a new TV, internet service look further than Comcast Xfinity. read more
