Canceling my cable and internet service. They pretty much sign you up at a low rate and then increase the rate on you however they please. For the same exact service. I went from $74 to $140 to now $155. Within 2.5-3 years. Their WiFi is supposed to be great, but it's slow on my main TV. Takes too long for Netflix to load and then buffers in the middle of movies. So glad Google Fiber has found its way to our area. I hear good things about them. Switching to Google Fiber and finding a streaming Live TV service to try out. Most of them like Sling TV or Hulu have free trials. Xfinity is going to be obsolete with their lack of customer support and their erratic pricing structure. Terrible. Signed up for "Xfinicky" about a month ago. The price was great but it matched the poor service. In the last 5 weeks the Internet has been down at least 5 times. Once for several hours. I no longer work from home I'm retired now so this is not a huge deal but if you work from home this service will not be adequate, I would suggest CentraCom instead. We had a technician come out Gean, he was fantastic, personable, helpful, and a dude that i would invite back over for a barbecue. There was a slight mishap that was easily rectified from the support center, but the technician was so amazing that it over shadows the mishap by a mile plus. After using Comcast Business for over 13 years, when I called to discontinue my service due to the closing of my business, they informed me that they are still going to charge me for another 30 days. In comparison, the residential side (Xfinity) terminated my service immediately and refunded fees I had prepaid. The only conclusion one can come to is that either the business side (Comcast) is so inefficient that it takes them that long to disconnect an account, or they just want to take advantage of long standing customers, just because they can. Given the number of service providers that are willing to bend over backwards for your business, I would definitely not recommend Comcast and would highly recommend using a vendor that appreciates you as a customer. Awful!!! Had Comcast since 2008 and recently cancelled because I was paying over $150 a month for service. The lady at the Murray Xfinity store was very cold and took my modem canceling my service. I called back a week later and was told my final balance would be $57. Today I get the bill and it's $162. I called and they decided to charge me a $110 cancellation fee. I called and no one cares. I don't like their system at all. My bill comes in Spanish and when I called to fix it they sent me one bill in English for that month, the rest are all in Spanish again. My monthly charges also increased after the first month of service which was not part of the agreement. It feels like a bait and switch and is incredibly unprofessional. Lastly the AI assistant is terrible. If I want to be connected with an agent, I should be allowed to speak with a real person. I give xfinity internet, tv services and mobile a 0, they are horrid. I had these for over 3 yrs., asked several times to please stop my tv services, after a 1 1/2 of this crap. I got fiber internet, which I pay $75 a month for, and thats's it! Bought a super box from amazon....then since I've had their mobile service, I have had one phone that has never been activated, in over 3 years. $40 a mo., asked several times for them to take it off. Xfinity is the absolute worst to deal with. I have been paying $65 a month for two years and just received my current bill of $116.60. Try getting the "assistant" to help, that's a joke. So getting a real human to help is not easy. I swear they don't believe in phones! I told them I cannot and will not pay $116.60 per month as I'm over 65 and I'm on a very limited income. I also told them I will pay $65-$70 a month. So they got me a plan that was $85 a month...so I thought. I just received the corrected billing and I will be paying $90 a month! The company promises you the latest greatest but when you need customer service you have to call the 800 number. That experience starts with the automated system trying as hard as possible to text you instead of transferring you to a live human being. 4 weeks ago our LCD screen (which controls part of the security system) stopped finding our wifi signal. I called to get it replaced, and they sent a new one out with a technician who installed it. After the installation he informed us that our 5 cameras would not work any longer. This, in turn, meant that we had to order 5 new cameras at $125 apiece. I called their 800 number and spoke with a Supervisor to see if they would help with the cost of the cameras but he said he couldn't do anything to help. Fast forward 4 weeks to today, and the Xfinity technician came out to install the 5 new cameras. Oh but wait...he arrived with only 2 cameras and told me that he didn't know when the other 3 might arrive. So I called the 800 number again, and spent 65 minutes on with supervisors, only to decide finally to not use them as my security service at all. They suck. read more

I have been a customer with xfinity for a few years now. I signed up for a locked in rate of $80 per month as I needed to be able to work from home, and my kids be able to play their games and stream TV. Initially there was no issue. The bill stayed the same for a while.  Spring of 2023 i noticed my bill slowly increasing in cost. By $5..then $10.. and so on. No reason behind it. It continued for a while, and now it's at $50 more than my "locked in" price. I tried tried talk to customer service and the disregarded or disconnected. I noticed they were charging me for a second router and a second streaming box when I only have one.. which was included in the package for no extra cost on my bill. Customer service wouldn't listen. Then the real issue started.  October 2023 is when I contacted them about the additional charges. November 2023 I paid my bill at the beginning of the month as I normally had. November 20 I got a notice shut off for missed payment. November 25 I paid my bill A SECOND TIME. December 7 my service was shut off for "non payment" at this point I did not have the ability to pay until my paycheck came in as I had just completed holiday shopping and paying the second time in November. I contacted and informed them of this and set up for a payment to come out. Internet was restored. December 18 I was charged. Then on December 24 I was charged 67.40. December 25 I was charged another 67.40. I requested a refund because why was I charged multiple times. December 27 they refunded me. January 4 they shut my internet off and claimed I canceled my payments. I paid AGAIN.. and then received my regular bill for January.. which I again paid. (Keep in mind all these bills are roughly $120-$160). January 25 I received ANOTHER shut off.. so I paid AGAIN but customer service was "so kind" and charged me 3 reactivation fees. I SET UP AUTO PAY TO AVOID THIS ISSUE! February 10 I paid again. Received another shut off notice on Feb 18. Paid again Feb 20. In March 3 i paid the bill. I was shut off again on the 5th. Issues ANOTHER reactivation fee. Then was charged AGAIN on March 16 and again MARCH 25. I turned auto pay off. April 5 i paid the bill. April 10 my service was terminated for non payment. I paid more money I didn't have. April 25 it happened again. I paid even more money. May 7 i paid. May 20 I got a warning of disconnect. May 25 I paid again. June I paid on the 4th, 10, and the 25. I now received yet another shut off notice. I can't do the robot chat thing because it is useless and unhelpful. Customer service isn't helping either. I have asked to escalate this many times and the hang up or threaten to shut my service off and black list me. I have paid 21 times. TWENTY ONE TIMES IN 9 MONTHS AND YOU MEAN TO TELL ME MY BILL IS NOW $466?! THERE IS NO WAY!!! I WANT TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE HIGHER UP ABOUT THIS the refusal of the outsourced employees to escalate or help the customers who have stayed through all the bs is astounding and I have a strong inclination to cancel and leave. If you can find an alternative to anything to do with Xfinity/Comcast including cable/moblie and home security, do it. This is the WORST company I can remember ever dealing with. To get to a customer service rep takes 10 mins (at least) then it's at least an hour on the phone with them to trouble shoot and the problem is never fixed, and it's the same problem that I've been dealing with for at least two years. There is literally no words to describe this company. I am not allowed to say on here how i really feel, because then my review will not be posted. The "agents" in which they represent this company are inhumane, untrustworthy, disrespectful, they discriminate against you when you have disabilities, they do not listen to you, while you are talking they put you on hold, to hear dead silence then act like they are listening, they lie to you about what they are doing as far as helping you with your account. The illegally take off credits and important notes from your account, when you are not even on the line/chat, they go into your account and make payment arrangements knowing you do not even owe them anything and they are the ones responsible for your account owing hundreds because they didn't do the job in which they are hired for and add on the ACP GOVERNMENT CREDITS, when it was in effect. This happened both this year and last year. The only reason I had to go back, is it was somewhat okay, I did not have issues with the internet, the endless issues was and is with these "agents". Centurylink did the same thins as Xfinity, they told me that they added the ACP APPROVAL ID NUMBER onto my account, but it will take two billing cycles for the credits to be applied. Which i do not believe. By them telling me this, they are forced me to pay the first two months in full, and refused to retro any credits to be applied even though I came with the APPROVAL INFO. in hand. I did the same with Xfinity. Food for thought: when i activated this account originally on my own, these issues where not happening. My bill was how it should be @ $0.00 a month when my ACP was applied. Last year when my child and originally moved into our new place, (after illegally being locked out/evicted/robbed after the president signed the pandemic memorandum) I called to easily transfer my internet and ended up being manipulated into a bundle package including cell phone, even though I demanded my account to be how it was originally w/internet only, I was told there famous line, I'm positive y'all have heard this: "Do Not Worry, you are in good hands, as our dedicated team is here to help". MORE LIKE ANYTHING BUT. This company charged me for two devices, I did not have, two phone lines I did not have, did not port in our numbers from the other carrier but said they did, illegally stole money from my bank account charging us for the above and monthly service and this was separate from the internet they where charging me for illegally when the ACP was in Effect. Xfinity straight has a "I DON'T CARE ATTITUDE", and they prove this with their actions. When you talk to someone online, everyone has the name of a Pakistan Immigrant (and no i am not being racist, I'm being 100% honest), and they intentionally transfer you from department to department not even wanting to help you. Furthermore, the CORPORATE OFFICE, is extremely uncompassionate, rude, they do not know what customer service is and they REFUSE TO KEEP ANY CUSTOMER PROMISES, GUARANTTEES ETC.. even though this is on the very bottom of their page on the website. They act like you are the problem, make up lies and go out of their way to cover those lies so they do not have to take responsibility for their illegal wrong doing and their agents illegal activities, the list goes on and on. I HONESTLY CANNOT FIGURE HOW THEY GET AWAY WITH DEFRAUDING CUSTOMERS, DAY AFTER DAY. The FCC is literally no help at all, and with one day the "CUSTOMER RELATIONS" (i will look the two names up and edit this when i am able to locate ). Lied and said I never had the ACP in the first place; I am trying to get service for free; and other ignorant things that honestly was not true, and led me into tears and a anxiety attacks. This company has cost me custody of my children for disconnecting my service repeatedly when they where not legally allowed because I did not owe them one penny due to ACP. (I had court hearing against a monster who is a child/spouse abuser, manipulator and so much more, an illegal criminal that our government refuses to do anything about), via Webex. and because they shut off my service when I actually just fought to get it turned back on, the court had me as a no show. Xfinity installed internet fiber in Eagle Mountain this spring. I thought I would give it a try for my home. Although I liked the speed and reliability, Xfinity could never get the fiber cable buried that runs to my home. I tried many times contacting customer service and their final response is, "You have to accept how we bury the fiber cable, no exceptions!". I felt scammed by the Xfinity company in general! I was offered a 30 day trial. Basically as soon as that ended I was told I had a late fee!!! They told me then I would only be charged for the time of service. Then they asked for 2 months worth of payment! I only had the service for just maybe a little over a month if that. I contacted them about it then was told I don't owe them but have a balance to be returned to me. They gave me another bill only taking off the amount they said they owed me! Well lit facility which is more important than I thought. The workers we came in contact with are knowledgeable and I really felt like we are getting the best deal. As close to scammers as a company can get. I signed up for Xfinity internet two years ago, and a year and a half ago I signed up for a phone plan with two other people for $30/line. Now, I'm moving to an apartment with internet provided, so I called to cancel my internet service. They told me that if I cancelled my internet, my phone bill would go up $25-30/line. To be clear, that's DOUBLE. I told them that I signed up for Xfinity mobile completely separately from my internet, and no one told me about this, so I was confused why this would happen. They told me that I wasn't told because, "there was no reason to disclose this at the time because you were already an Xfinity internet customer." OF COURSE THERE WAS A REASON TO DISCLOSE THIS AT THE TIME! It's called honesty and transparency. If I had known that, I never would have signed up for Xfinity mobile.
