06/12/2026 AmTrust Insurance Company…read moreSubject: Disappointment Regarding Commercial Auto Insurance Decision To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding AmTrust's decision not to provide commercial auto insurance coverage for our company. Our business has maintained a perfect driving record, with zero losses, zero claims, and no accidents throughout the entire history of our company. We have consistently operated responsibly and have demonstrated a commitment to safety and risk management that should make us an ideal insurance client. What is particularly frustrating is that the decision appears to have been based on a classification indicating that we are involved in catering. While our company may provide event-related services, our vehicles are not used to cater food, deliver food, or sell food products. Our vans are used strictly for transportation purposes, transporting employees, equipment, supplies, and materials to Venue and Back They are not food delivery vehicles, mobile kitchens, or catering trucks. It is difficult to understand why a company with a spotless claims history and a proven record of safe operations would be declined based on an inaccurate perception of how our vehicles are used rather than on the actual risk presented. I had expected AmTrust to evaluate our company based on our outstanding loss history, clean driving record, and the true nature of our vehicle operations. Instead, it appears that a broad classification outweighed the facts of our business and our proven track record. I respectfully ask that AmTrust reconsider its position and conduct a more thorough review of our operations. We believe the decision does not accurately reflect the low-risk nature of our commercial auto exposure. Thank you for your time and consideration. Mark

I got a nasty letter from Crystal Marin-Schwartz a subrogation adjuster about paying $249 for a claim. I immediately paid it and it has been weeks and my check still has not been cashed. I left her numerous voicemails asking her to call me back to let me know the status of my check but she ignores my calls. I am going to keep calling and complaining to her superiors. Unacceptable!

My experience with AmTrust has been extremely frustrating. After my work-related accident nearly…read moretwo years ago, I felt that my claim was mishandled from the beginning. I later learned they did not even have my initial hospital report, yet my treatment continued for about a year without it. Despite being told at Hoag Hospital that I needed surgery, I was unable to get the necessary treatment through workers' compensation. Eventually, I had to undergo the surgery privately about 14 months after the accident because of the delays. I was then informed that AmTrust would not pay for the surgery. My QME's initial report concluded that my injury was industrially related. In my opinion, the delays and handling of my claim contributed to my condition worsening, and I am now left with a permanent disability. I also found it extremely frustrating that many treatment recommendations made by my doctors at Concentra appeared to be ignored. I was told that AmTrust has an internal medical review process that decides which treatments are approved, but from my perspective, many of my treating doctors' recommendations were simply disregarded. To make matters worse, they have not been willing to settle my claim or agree to a Compromise and Release (C&R). Throughout this process, I felt like I was treated unfairly and with very little concern for my health or recovery. After everything I've experienced, I believe the only option left is to pursue every legal remedy available to me and hold AmTrust accountable in court if appropriate. I also intend to speak publicly about my experience so others understand what I went through. In my opinion, companies should be held accountable when their handling of claims has serious consequences for injured workers. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend AmTrust. I believe my claim was mishandled, communication was poor, and the delays had serious consequences for my health and quality of life.

A couple years ago I realized how LITTLE I knew about money…read more I had the basics (savings, budgeting, etc.) and understood the end game (retirement). But what about all those decisions in the middle? It's hard to talk about, because everyone comes from a unique place: $ saved, debt accrued, etc. For example, my biz school friends went straight into jobs that made money from the get. I dropped out, waited tables, and worked for free. I was ready to make the biggest decisions of my life, but had no help to answer questions like: - If I want to buy a house in 3 years, how much money do I need? - Am I buying a house for the right reasons? - If I'm ready to start a family, when do I start saving? I started working with StashWealth as a financial advisor and it's been amazing. I got: - Personalized, actionable advice. 100% customized plan - Told me exactly how to reallocate my money. Then helped me open and close the right accounts. - Crazy good response rate. Anytime I've had a question, Rob (a co-founders) answered it in a few hours. Caveats: - SW is not right for everyone. IMO, get a baseline edu of personal finance first. - SW is NOT a "budget" option. They have a fee, more than Wealthfront or Betterment. All options are good, it depends on your needs. I've been lucky to work with many successful people. I've learned: No one "figures it all out." There's always another challenge, whether it's financial, career, or personal: mortgages, child care, job loss, cancer. And StashWealth is there to help you navigate these challenges. If you want more info, I wrote a more detailed review here, where I talk about who StashWealth WOULD be good for, and who it WOULD NOT be good for: http://christopherming.com/2018/02/honest-stashwealth-review/
