After reading reviews here with how they were specialized in children with special needs, I was impressed. Although our son is not special needs, and actually tends to sit really well for a toddler, I thought to myself they must be good with children here if that was the case. Any barber shop who goes the extra mile to get "Autism certified" and have a special place for families who need this service, must be a good person in my book. I called on a Monday to schedule an appointment (which I was surprised they were open on a Monday). Owner, Eddie, fit us in on my day off on the following Wednesday morning. (Ended up finding out that he also fit us in on his typical day off before he left for vacation the next day, which also was another super kind thing to do!) He was extremely friendly and professional. Gave my 3.5 yr old son a fantastic haircut, and was so so kind and patient with him! Eddie had a tv for something to keep him occupied and a special seat for kids, that showed he was well prepared for handling this age group. He started by giving my son a high five, which was cute and broke the ice for my son who started off shy. I like that Eddie asked me first before he offered my son a lollipop at the end. I came in here at 9am and there were two other barbers in there with clients. They both smiled at my son, and I didn't feel any awkwardness whatsoever as some other reviews mentioned, especially as a female coming in, no less one with a child in a barber shop (which I could imagine may kill the vibe in a "guys space"). We felt welcome. Eddie told me that usually Sundays are the day that he dedicates the shop for kids cuts, or early mornings. Which I could completely understand and appreciate wanting to keep the vibe appropriate for both kids and grown men at different times. I love how "cool" my son feels with his big boy haircut now lol. We will definitely be back. It was slightly more pricey than Great Clips, but well worth it to me. I would 10/10 recommend!
