What's more is that it came with lots of vegetables, which made me feel justified in eating it all. The delivery time was quite long, taking about 40 minutes but the price was reasonable and would definitely order again from here.

The owner puts on a one man show -waiting, cooking, and running the whole operation. He is really sweet and makes the place feel so homey and inviting. The menu is great! I personally love the DanDan mein (noodles with peppery sauce) and the zhajiangmian (noodles with soybean sauce). The guo tie (fried dumplings) are also an all time favorite here. He also as some really traditional dishes like jellyfish and a fungus dish. All in all, they too are delicious. So if you haven't already figured it out, Tasty Noodle is an amazing one man show for everyone to have a glimpse into the street foods of Chinese cuisine and just absolutely tasty food.

I ordered curry sauce with chicken and fried rice with prawn crackers to share with my friend and it came to less than £10 each, which is pretty good value as the portions were pretty big, and this was the sitting in price, the prices to take away are cheaper. The meal wasn't actually all that stodgy at all and the meal didn't seem all that greasy. The prawn crackers weren't however all that crispy and seemed a bit soft, but other than that it was a good meal, and would return in the future.

As an Indian living in Edinburgh for roughly 14 years now, I usually find it hard to get really…read moregood, authentic Indian food in the city (though some exceptions exist, such as Anna Purna and Zest, and I don't claim to have tried every place in Auld Reekie). So it was a wonderful surprise to find Golden Bridge which serves a range of Chinese cuisine, but specialises in food from the Guizou and Sichuan provinces (the chef, Ma, and his wife, Sue, are from the former). Some of this food is very spicy, taxing even my palate which was used to having Pork Vindaloo back home in India. But most of it is moderately spiced if spicy at all, and the tastes (to my mind at least) are exquisite. Top favourite of all time (also a winner with relatives from India who visited some years ago) is the whole sea bass which comes in a delicate batter and with a sweet-spicy sauce. The milder sea bass with ginger and spring onions is also excellent and the tastes more subtle. Other favourites are Family Style Chicken, Double Cooked Pork and Duck in Spicy Juice. Hot pot here is an amazing experience but I usually dine on my own there so have to wait till I have a group of people. Invariably there is plenty left over. Spicy Cucumber salad is also unusual and an excellent cold dish, but with a spicy sauce and I think sesame seeds, if memory serves! If you go in and ask for authentic food, press the owner into offering you some of the dishes that are not on the regular menu. Chinese Pie is one of my favourites amongst these as an appetizer - only tried it last 20+ years ago in Boston where it was called Scallion Pancake. If you want to challenge your tonsils with regard to spiciness, ask for Minced Pork with Pickled Cabbage at full strength! You have been warned. Last but not least if you like the simple pleasures such as well made rice, you will find their egg fried rice is delicate and a lovely near-white colour unlike most other restaurants which colour/flavour it with soya sauce. I could say more, but I want to leave some surprises for you if you choose to dine there. The restaurant was recently reviewed by the Scotsman Magazine. (Saturday, 9th August, 2008)

And let me tell you right now - Tattu lived up to the hype I read online and THEN SOME! We booked a later reservation because we were coming back from a tour that day, and we were promptly seated right when we arrived. The vibe was exactly as described - it was upscale, and very ethereal feeling. Trees uplit with purple and pink lights, black marble tables, more floral/light touches, and a dragon mural on the ceiling and also in a projected design on the far wall of the dining area. And luckily, the food was just as good as the ambiance. My friend and I both did the Evening Set Menu, that included a starter for each person and a main dish per person. They also had desserts and sides that you could add for an extra charge (we did a dessert each, and they were also amazing, but more on that later - hold your horses!). I had the Crispy Pork Belly for my starter and it was divine - nice and crispy outside with a soft middle and a delicious dipping sauce. My friend did the Duck Spring Rolls and they were so tasty as well (we split a few of each others' starter). The cherry hoisin sauce that came with the spring rolls was fantastic and a little sweet and sour at the same time. These starters were not so heavy that we didn't have room for our main courses, which I appreciated. For the entree, I had the White Miso Salmon, and the filet was so tender with a miso sauce that was to die for. The Jasmine rice that accompanied them mixed super well with everything too. My friend had the Chinese BBQ Chicken, and it was a large filet that was super flavorful (the bites I had), because it was absolutely coated in the BBQ sauce, and a very juicy filet, too. I would recommend either of the mains or starters that we picked for the evening set menu, based on our experience. As I mentioned, the dessert is not included in the set evening menu, but you can add it at the end - and my friend and I both did! She had the Asian Pear Sticky Toffee pudding, and it was so delectable - a toffee brownie type square with a large mound of buttery ice cream on top, and caramel and cinnamon to top it off. I had the Chocolate Hazelnut Pagoda, and it was a stunner! Literally a chocolate cake "dirt" on top of vanilla whipped pudding, with cherry ice cream on top and a hazelnut chocolate pagoda tree with cotton candy for the leaves. While that sounds awesome in itself, it also came with a cloud of dried ice "smoke" billowing out of it. So cool, and it definitely tuned a few heads when it arrived. So from the super cool and upscale ambiance, excellent service, and out of this world food - I definitely recommend Tattu for a special occasion, date night, or to take anyone you want to really impress!

As Stuart says this is a very average Chinese that me and a couple of mates stumbled upon whilst trekking back from Fort Kinnaird. I must admit that I only ordered prawn crackers as I had already eaten, they were pretty good although a bit soft. my friends had larger meals, one a chicken curry another a vegetarian curry and they both agreed that they were good, but nothing special. The lady who served us, Mrs Ho, I assume, was very polite the food didn't take too long to be ready.
