After writing a 5-star review for the Flax & Kale Tallers location, I just feel like I'm gushing as…read moreI now review the F&K Passage location! Well all the "gushing" and praising is highly deserved! My husband and I were in Barcelona for a short 33 hours to attend an FC Barcelona match at Camp Nou, and thanks to Yelp, discovered Flax & Kale. After the Sunday night match, we dined at the Tallers location, and the next day we found our way here! It was a perfect stop on our walk from La Sagrada Familia to El Born! The feel-good vibes and delicious, healthy eats continued to flow into day 2 of our short visit, and at this F&K, they have their very own Kombucha Bar in the back that looks like a very interesting chemistry lab with neon lights. Overall such a beautiful, artsy space from the white pillars to the exposed brick walls, metal vents, and sleek wooden tables and accents! We tried a few menu items that were completely different than what we ordered the day before. Every single thing was tasty, fresh & had us questioning, "Is there any room in my belly to try something else on the menu?!" Oh yes, it's that good! Highlights of the day were: * Matcha Latte with their fresh Almond Cashew Milk * Green Love cold-pressed juice * Plant-based "cheddar" Kale Chips * Paleo Bread with their Marcona Almond & Coconut Butter * Gluten-free Focaccia Bread Gorgeous food (that's good for your body, soul & tastebuds), friendly service, great music, and well...we just can't wait to come back!

This is my second Flax & Kale experience, and I must say it was better than the Tallers location. I…read morethink it comes down to personal preference - the Passage shop is much cozier, with a smaller space and warmer tones. As a party of four, we were seated in one of their booths, which can be completely private as they have sliding doors. I had a lovely view of fresh pizza being made, with the chefs assembling each pizza by hand (with love). For a Sunday afternoon, it was surprisingly not too busy. For the main, I ordered the salmon sushi sandwich. I loved the classic Japanese flavours presented in a non-traditional format. It wasn't super filling, so I opted for their toasted hazelnut ice cream, which came with a delicious combination of mangoes, grapes, and a cocoa cookie. Note that it was a grainier than ordinary ice cream, and the flavour was quite potent. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meals. Also super impressed that EVERYTHING is gluten-free. I highly recommend a visit even if you do not have dietary restrictions!

What a delicious surprise! I ordered the tuna poke taco not expecting it to be any good or even decent. I was waiting to be disappointed. Imagine my surprise when I took my first bite. Remember that scene in the movie Ratatouille? Where Ego was transported back to his childhood memory of his mom serving him a delightful plate of ratatouille? Yes, I had that moment. That taco was amazing! I told my wife that it reminded me of poke I used to get from Foodland in Hawaii - if you don't know Foodland is the standard that all people in Hawaii compare other poke. Come try for yourself - do not pass this "healthy" food spot up. They serving some awesome good food!

This place has adorable aesthetics and delicious açaí. We came here at 10:45am on a Saturday and seated ourselves in the back table. A bunch of us are partial to the Runner açaí bowl, which is banana, chocolate, and paçoca. Sooooo good!!! This is some of the best açaí we've eaten, and we all live in Los Angeles where there are a ton of places. I ordered the traditional-sized Runner bowl, and a friend and I split an order of the hummus. The hummus was also delicious!! We got it with half pita and half veggies. It was a good-sized portion which was perfect for two, if not three people. It all came out to be about 9 euro for me, which I think is a great price for the value and the quality. I would highly recommend checking out Almalibre if you're an açaí aficionado or if you've never tried it before!!

Definitely a healthier marketed food options and drink options. We ordered: Femme fatale: dragonfruit based drink that was nice, refreshing and not overly sweet. The fruit notes came thru I actually liked my GF drink more then mine Blue moon- blue spirulina, coconut water, fruit banana etc. this was flat for me personally, I really only tasted the coconut water and the blue spirulina powder. The signature acai cup was fire, i enjoyed it the acai base had a cinnamon flavor coming thru, different then ones I've tried back home. Fruits fresh, medium was the perfect size for us: ate it right outside on the bench! Took awhile to get our acai, drinks came out within 8 minutes.

The menu itself was a bit overwhelming, as it has roughly 10 pages to flip through haha. We ended getting two smoothies & a soft serve to share: -blue moon -femme fatale - nudes signature açaí (medium) The femme fatale smoothie was my favorite! This smoothie contains dragonfruit, mango, ginger, berries, lemon juice, oat milk, & coconut yogurt drizzle. I liked that it wasn't too sweet! The fruity flavors were right up my alley. The blue moon was also yummy! This one contains blue spirulina, avocado, banana, green apple, lemon juice, & coconut water. Not too sweet either & was slightly more tart than the femme fatale, likely due to the green apples. The açaí soft serve was great & super refreshing, perfect for hot days. It tasted different from any açaí we've tried in the U.S. It had a cinnamon-y taste, which I didn't mind. Again, not too sweet either! Overall, highly recommend checking NUDES cafe out if you're shopping near Plaça de Gracia; it's super close by!
