Thanks to all the other reviewers who gave Laughing Buddha such great reviews, because that is one of the reasons I chose to go there. I usually don't go out of my way to write reviews, but this place truly deserves it. I've been wanting to get my nose pierced for a long time. I saw my cousin get it done many years ago (from some other place here in town) and witnessed the agonizing process of the piercer struggling to get the nose pin in after the needle had come out too soon. Seeing that whole bit scared me off until I finally gathered up the courage to quit being a wimp, and of course find a place that could do better. I got my nostril pierced by Paul, who was great. I was the only person there at the time, which was nice. The piercing was done in the back room in a very sterile way. The instruments were all autoclaved. I was laying back expecting the worst, and all I felt was a slight pinch with no blood and no tears. He did it so fast that I barely had time to process the whole thing. I didn't feel like I was being rushed out either, which was nice because I got to just lay there for a couple of minutes to make sure I didn't pass out by standing up too soon. I was given a bag of salt and instructions on how to take care of my piercing and was on my way. The same day after the piercing, I felt a slight dull pain but it wasn't anything that kept me from going about my daily activities. I've been following the instructions and I don't touch the piercing area. It only felt sore for the first few days when I would yawn. It is supposed to take 6-9 months for the nose to heal completely, but so far it has been feeling good. I probably won't be getting any other piercings but if I had to, I would go back to Laughing Buddha without a second thought. My friend and I were talking and realized we both had wanted our noses pierced, so we decided to go together. We are older than most of the younger girls we see with their noses pierced so we didn't have any idea who to ask about where to go, but we were so excited to have it done together. We researched here on Yelp and the reviews on Paul were outstanding. We knew that's where we were supposed to go. So New Year's Eve there we were with Paul. What a nice guy, so mellow, so knowledgeable. The piercing was over so quickly, and was not very painful at all. We were amazed. The placing he chose was just right and we were both so happy with the results. It's now day 2 and I just love it! I've followed his easy instructions using only distilled water/non-iodized salt solution and holding your nose in it twice a day. Paul assured us we could see him if we have any concerns. Got my septum pierced recently here, had a great experience! Paul is very good at what he does, and provides you with good verbal information as he go through the process of what he is doing. He goes over aftercare and provides you with all the things you need to make sure your healing goes smooth post-piercing. I am very happy with my septum piercing and would absolutely come back here for all my piercing and body jewelry needs. They only carry implant grade jewelry for initial piercing which guarantees I will be walking away with quality materials which will last through the healing process without causing any issues. This to me is worth every dollar I spent - which really wasn't even that much ($62 for the jewelry and piercing combined, which is actually lower then I expected). Paul welcomed us into his shop & his friendly demeanor instantly put me at ease & allowed me to relax. The task of filling out paperwork began & Paul was able to answer each question we had regarding the ( nostril ) piercing. Each step of the way was explained with professionalism & confidence. We moved ahead in a timely manner to accomplish the task at hand but at the same time never felt rushed. My preconceived ideas soon vanished as the piercing had been completed. Whatever thoughts I had in mind did not come to life because the pain wasn't as bad as I had imagined it would be. I've gotten my tongue pierced by Paul, and my helix and nipples done by Chance. I asked a lot of questions and Chance had great answers for everything, and calmed my fears about a fairly sensitive and private piercing. I was pretty nervous about the pain of my most recent nipples piercings, but they were probably less painful (although a very different pain) than my eyebrow piercing, which was done at another shop. I believe the prices are comparable (give or take a few bucks) to most places in town, but you get a much better experience and piercing. I seriously would never go anywhere else! I got pierced by Paul when he was managing Evolve and was stoked when he opened the Laughing Buddha. The store is small, but every time I go in I am always pleased with how nicely everything is displayed. It's fun, bright, and clean and has a good selection of jewelry to choose from. The last time I was pierced it was done by Chance and he did such an amazing job! He made the whole experience quick and easy and I was out in about 20-30 minutes. I came in to get my tragus pierced, and Chance was my piercer. He took time to explain the piercing process and aftercare even though the appointment took about half an hour. The needle went in really easily and I couldn't even feel him put the jewelry in! He also recommended that I come in in 6 months to check on healing, and while I won't be in the state then he said that he could recommend a shop almost anywhere in the country. I've always been treated the best, their counter staff (Liam) is amazing, their piercer Paul is calm and walks through all steps of the procedure. It is more expensive but the quality of service and jewelry is worth it all 100x over. I always feel welcomed even with the change in location and adding tattoo artists to the line up. I came here for a septum piercing after my first choice was closed, however, I will only go to Laughing Buddha from now on. I paid only half of what I would've at the other place and I absolutely love my piercing done by Paul, it healed so quickly. A few months later I tried changing rings and wasn't able to and I went to Paul and he put it back in no charge. They are always having great deals and are so well priced, I will definitely keep coming here! read more

Not only was Laughing Buddha clean and bright, the guys were great and I thought it was very reasonably priced for the highly professional services that they offer.
