I went here after having a poor experience at the last tattoo shop I had gone to, and I have to say, the improvement is vast. I walked in, hoping to get tattooed that day, and one of the artists came over immediately to check if I had been helped yet. I had to wait because he had one person ahead of me, but it was no big deal at all. I gave him my request and he fulfilled it in such a great time and manor. Also no judgment for getting a Disney tattoo, as I had been at another shop. Honestly, the only complaint I have is the pricing. It seems a bit steep, but the quality is so nice, I really can't complain too much about that. I have been to many shops trying to find the best tattoo artist and shop for me, and I have to say, this place is the one in Bellingham that makes me feel happy to go into and get a new tattoo. I look forward to my next tattoo, because these are the people I will be going to!! read more

Got my third tattoo here at Old Gold in Bellingham. At first I was kind of nervous to get tatted here in Bellingham cause I wasn't sure how experienced the artists were being in a smaller town. However, my doubts quickly disappeared after I talked to the artists at Old Gold. All three of the artists there were very helpful and welcoming, listening to what I wanted and asking if I had a price range. I highly recommend Max, he did a very thorough and fantastic job on my ankle and exceeded my expectations! I absolutely love my tattoo and will be coming back again, thank you so much!! read more

Faithful Tattoo - Just got this done by Max, absolutely love it!! Thank you! - Tattoo Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

Came in on a whim for a birthday tattoo, and was excited to see the "get what you get" machine. I tried twice ($20 for another pull) and got an awesome design. Max was fantastic, the tattoo looks great and it barely hurt at all. The healing went well, and I'm so happy I came in. I'll definitely be coming back for my next tattoo! read more

I came into the shop to get my first tattoo and I was met by kind and professional staff members. Kyle did my tattoo and I love it! He listened intently and took notes on my idea. The drawing was spot on what I wanted and he tattooed it really well. I'm definitely going back there for my next tattoo for sure. read more

I went with a friend and got my first tattoo. Now I'm probably older than most, but my friend recommended Old Gold and she investigated the likelihood of my getting a 'watercolor' style tattoo. She spoke with KC, who was very friendly, knowledgable, and 'not the tattoo police' (his words not mine). I immediately liked KC and appreciated his honesty and forthright nature. Knowing this was my first tattoo, KC was gentle and made sure that I knew what he was doing and how long it would take for each step of the way. All of the artists at Old Gold are just as talented and sweet. (Sorry Gents. I blew your tough guy image.) It's a great shop. Clean and quiet. My experience was very positive and I would (and do) highly recommend Old Gold. read more

My second tattoo by Rodney and it is amazing! Just as before, he was super professional, caring and he did an incredible job. The shop is extremely clean (including the restroom) and the decor/vibe is perfect. I loved every second of it and can't wait for my third. Thank you again Rodney and Old Gold Tattoo for another stellar tattoo experience! read more

I really like this place! Got my second tattoo there today. Super fast, super easy. The service was friendly and it was a reasonable price. The shop is also really clean. They accept walk ins or you can make an appointment. It's cash only so make sure you have enough on you! I just got something small on my arm and it wasn't even painful. They made sure it was exactly what I wanted and where I wanted it. The shop alone is pretty cool, they have all the artists work up and you can take your time looking through the designs. Definitely will get my next tattoo here! read more

Hands down: the best tattoo experience I have had. I worked with Chucho for a few weeks to get my piece created and he went way above and beyond. He made me really comfortable with the process and furthered my ideas to create a beautiful piece. Old Gold is a great looking clean shop too, well worth the drive from Seattle, as it is way better than reputable places I have been to here. The work was communicated well and done very efficiently as well. I couldn't be happier with my experience, I plan to return many times and have been telling everyone I know: this is the place to go. Beautiful tattoo, thank you Chucho! read more

For a while I had been admiring this shop and the artists that inhabit it--so about a year ago I decided I wanted to inquire with the artist who's working I was particularly fond of, Chucho, and make an appointment. Without meeting in person prior to the day, because I about an hour outside of Bellingham, we managed to completely work and plan everything out via social media. I didn't get to see my tattoo before I went in to my appointment (completely understandable--security reasons!) but I wasn't worried at all. Upon arrival I was nervous going in to a new shop but my nerves were quickly gone when I walked in and was greeted and welcomed right away by all of the employees. I met Chucho, he showed me what he'd drawn up from my ideas and I was ecstatic, although I had one request. I wanted it in black and grey. Having planned to do it in color, he had absolutely no hesitation to change that for me and we got started. Being a somewhat quiet person, Chucho made me completely comfortable and was able to initiate and hold a conversation with me the entire time. My piece turned out fantastic and to this day it is still one of my favorites. Just a few days ago I made a trip back up to the shop to meet up with Chucho again and let him tackle my arm with some more of his stunning, bold, traditional work--but this time we used color and oh my gosh it's the most vivid and impressive tattoo I've had done on me. Hands down my absolute favorite piece. I got to the shop around noon and two friends and I ended up hanging around with the crew all day and just having a good time, fun talks and getting tattooed. I've never felt more welcomed and at home and been treated so great in a shop as I have in Old Gold. I am more than happy to make the trip up north just to go to this shop at any time and I would recommend it with the highest regard to anybody who's looking to get some high quality, bold and bright ink done. read more

Old Gold is a wonderful shop - not only because of the great tattooers there but the decor and over all vibes are amazing! I have gotten almost all of my tattoos there and will be getting more there in the future. The whole crew there seems like a family. I love that they are honest with you about whats going to look good and whats not - they are 100% committed to giving you a timeless tattoo that will age well. Even though the shop specializes in classic tattoos, they all do great work with any style you are looking for. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for a tattoo! read more

Excellent artists, fun atmosphere and great prices. Old Gold Tattoo did not disappoint. I'm sure I'll be back for more.

I have been going to see Chucho for a large back piece and have been amazed at how awesome they are. It has been the best experience. The art is amazing, the shop is extra clean and the company is fantastic. I do not think you could pick a better tattoo shop in town. read more

My tattoo turned out fine I suppose, I don't know the artist or anything now but I know I went in to get a tattoo on my hand and was told he wouldn't do it because I was a girl. I ended up getting something tiny (smaller than an inch) on my wrist and it cost me over a 100 dollars, and now it's already starting to fade less than a year later. read more

I had such a positive experience at the shop. Max was very knowledgable and gave great recommendations to make sure the idea I had in my head of what I wanted was executed perfectly while taking in to consideration how the tat would age well. TL;DR this place is phenomenal, go get tatted here. Shoutout to KC for being rad. I was looking for a place for my first tattoo, and a friend of a friend recommended KC to me. Since I was out of state at the time, he set up a time to speak with me via phone and schedule an appointment and discuss design. He was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful about the design process, and really listened to my ideas and what I wanted and then drafted a design for me (which was even better than I'd imagined). Since it was my first tattoo, he was really great about addressing my concerns and questions without making me feel like an idiot for asking basic questions. The actual tattooing was great also - he took care in positioning the design, and then shifted it a few times, til he found a placement I liked. He was very calm and friendly throughout the whole process, and made me feel totally at ease (I also learned so much about tattoos - he has a wealth of knowledge about tattoo history and design and it is SUPER interesting). Aftercare was clearly explained, and when I called back a few days later with random questions to make sure my tattoo was healing okay, he made himself available and gladly answered them. The tattoo turned out great, it was a fabulous experience and I love the tattoo itself, and would hands down recommend Old Gold and KC to anyone. read more

My husband and I walked in and got some spur-of-the-moment wedding band tattoos for our anniversary. Douglas was really helpful with design ideas (our original idea from pinterest was on the palm side and he said that the ink wouldn't take well at all and it was too big for the back of the finger) and drew up the perfect little symbol for us. It was more expensive than other shops had quoted us for a little dime-sized black tattoo, but we were treated very nicely, and they got us in and out in under 20 mins total, including paperwork. read more

First, I emailed Old Gold via Yelp to see if they would be willing to re-ink a tattoo. They quickly responded yes. I walked in today & met KC at the desk. He took a look at my tattoo and gave me a quote. He was careful to explain that he wasn't familiar with kanji and would need assistance knowing where the breaks in the symbols should be. I appreciated his candor. While he was cleaning up from his previous client I browsed through pictures of his work. His watercolor pieces are beautiful, especially the humming bird. As KC got to work he explained each step of the re-ink, including the colors, and that once he was finished he would consider it his tattoo. Even though he didn't do the original tat, he took great care to make sure I was happy with his work. I'm not in the market for another piece, but if I were I would go to KC in a heartbeat! Thanks for the great work, KC. read more

I had been looking for an artist/shop for a really long time. This place is by far the best! I instantly felt comfortable. Everyone is friendly. Chucho was able to take my half idea and turn It into something better than I imagined. From the drawing stage to the ink I never felt intimidated, if I don't like something, he changes it. I love the the shop, it's inviting and has a cool old look. As many hours as I have spent there, it's nice that the bathroom is clean, pretty important to know the place is sanitary. This one is. Now the work.... I can't convey how pleased I am. I have done a few sessions and have some more to go. I am more than impressed. At each session I am amazed! It's absolutely beautiful. read more

These guys are all the best! They do the best work in town! Fair, reasonable prices! No hourly or shop minimum! They'll charge you what your piece is worth. I don't get tattooed anywhere else in town and believe in these guys! I've traveled the country going to tattoo shops and Old Gold is one of the few elite. Everyone on staff is genuine and friendly. Rad shop. Recommended to me by a friend, lived up to expectations. Shop was clean, well lit, and staff was friendly and helpful. I stopped by to check it out and spoke to one of the artists, and they got me in later that afternoon. I have a lot of work done, and now I won't go anywhere else in town! Great artists, fair prices and the shop is super clean!

As far as price range it was pretty pricey $600 for my tattoo. Granted the tattoo was fairly sized on my chest i think they should have an hourly rate because there are some tattoo shops that give the same quality at a lower rate. All in all great job on the tattoo. read more
