Would have been nice to also prebook my seat. The cinema needed a vacuum and a clean as it seems they just played back to back movies. The thing that saved the rating was it was almost empty so finding seats wasn't difficult. All in all a reasonable experience. Lost a star due to cleanliness on the night and not being able to prebook my seat after paying a premium.

Because event cinemas has been around for a long time, it's refreshing to visit their brand new theatre which is at Top Ryde. Opened only recently inside the Top Ryde Shopping centre, it has a much cleaner and polished impression. What makes it special is that it is NSW's first fully digital complex. The seats are all brand new and the carpet is stain-free! (Yes, I am obsessed with cleanliness and this matters to me) Event Cinemas at Top Ryde has all the usual Event favourites like candy bar, gold class lounge, 3D in VMax screens and a new VMax bar. The Bar is just gorgeous! It is aesthetically designed and looks very sophisticated and glamorous. The cafe food served is quite good. Much better than the food court food available in the mall. If you sign up online, show your card while making a booking to receive points. Usually every 100 points guarantees you a free movie, but sometimes Events offers free movies for just 50 points!
